Chapter 344: Punish This Servant

Lulu tried her best but nothing happened. She tried several times until Elsa stopped her.

"That’s enough, Lulu. Don’t over-exert yourself. This is just an exercise to see which element will react to your energy," Elsa said.

"B-But I don’t think I have tried enough. Let me try one more ti–"

Elsa was massaging her temple but suddenly felt weak. She abruptly dropped her hand on the table making a loud sound. "I said enough!" Elsa exclaimed.

Lulu was startled and lowered her head before apologizing, "I’m sorry, Your Majesty. I just want to try again, because I want to help you and my family."

"I know that, and I am not angry, no need to apologize. I just don’t feel good I think I am starting to have a headache. Also, trying again will not help. It doesn’t work that way. We have to find which element will react to you. So, if the fire is not reacting, try water instead. Go to the pond and try several times. If it doesn’t work too, come back to me and we will try air and earth," Elsa explained.

Lulu nodded and immediately went to the pound, she stayed there while Elsa was watching from the gazebo.

Elsa could see how hard she was trying but after several minutes, Lulu went back with dropped shoulders and a pouting face. She instantly knew what that expression of hers meant.

"It’s alright. There’s two more elements and one of them is surely your element," Elsa cheered.

Lulu was really demotivated but she still waited for Elsa’s next instruction. She watched Elsa pick a leaf from a plant by the gazebo and place it on the table.

"Take a seat, the guards are watching us. Let’s make it look like you are just chatting. Why don’t you try to lift this leaf using air magic?" Elsa ordered.

Lulu lifted her hands which surely felt heavy. She had lost hope of learning any magic at this point and believed that her ability stopped at gathering mana.

Elsa saw her hesitation immediately, "Stop... What seems to be the problem, Lulu? I can clearly see that you are not focused anymore. Don’t you want to find out your element?"

"I do, but, what’s the point if it’s not fire or water? I wanted to either fight or help heal others, so if fire or water is not my element, then I am useless. I won’t be able to help you at all or my family, and even others..." Lulu uttered with a heavy deep sigh.

"You are so wrong, Lulu. The leader of my mages was an earth mage and master in defense earth magic. She is powerful not because of her earth magic, but because of her intelligence and wisdom. She’s a quick thinker and a very good leader. When she speaks, everyone listens and follows her. She’s now married to my uncle.

One of my mages is an air mage, he is strong and has mastered both offensive and defensive air magic spells. He is a quiet one, but his power speaks for itself. He moves fast and will protect anyone at all costs. I see both of them in you," Elsa smiled at Lulu.

She started at Lulu’s welling eyes and gave her hand a soft squeeze of encouragement. "You don’t need fire magic to protect anyone or water magic to save someone. All you need is one element whatever it is that you can connect to and master... So how about we try air, with confidence this time?" Elsa encourage.

Lulu nodded and extended her hands towards the table where Elsa placed the leaf. She tried several times but nothing happened. Her confidence dropped once more but when she looked at Elsa, she was flabbergasted.

Elsa was grinning and was genuinely happy. Her face lit up as if she’s no longer feeling sick.

"Y-Your Majesty?" Lulu called up when Elsa continued to look at her without speaking.

"That’s it! Lulu, you found it!" Elsa exclaimed.

"Found what?" Lulu got more confused. She totally has no idea what was Elsa talking about.

"Didn’t you feel it?" Elsa asked.

"Felt what? I’m sorry, Your Majesty, but I really don’t understand what you mean."

"Get off the gazebo and stand over there..." Elsa pointed her hand to the area filled with grass.

Lulu walked to the spot and waited for Elsa’s instruction.

"Now do what you did earlier, but this time, do it to the grass around you," Elsa instructed.

Lulu obeyed but nothing was happening, so she tried one last time.

"There! Did you feel that?" Elsa called out.

"Your Majesty, I really don’t feel anything," she replied.

"Remove your shoes, and do it again," Elsa urged.

Lulu did exactly that and gathered all the mana that she could before releasing them into her hands. However, instead of her mana going through her hands, it split, and some went to her feet causing her to panic. She got scared of losing control and messing up everything she had trained for all this time.

Her heart beat fast as she quickly tried to divert the mana back to her hands, but it was too late. Even the mana that she directed to her hands all went to her feet and it was so strong that she felt like her feet were going to tear apart.

The ground shook hard, causing her to lose balance and fall to the ground. The shaking of the ground immediately stopped the moment she fell, and she saw Elsa running to her.

"You did it! You really did it!" Elsa exclaimed and hugged Lulu so tight that she almost couldn’t breathe.

"I’m confused, what just happened?" Lulu questioned.

"Your magic is earth, Lulu, and it’s a strong one! The guards are coming, pretend that it’s not you. I will claim it," Elsa quickly stood up and faced the incoming demon guards.

"Your Majesty..." one of the guards bowed, "Was it you who used magic?"

"Yes, it was me. What about it?" Elsa boldly uttered.

"The King has forbidden you to use any kind of magic and it is our duty to report–"

"Don’t bother! I will report it to him myself. I want to punish this servant. She angered me so much that I lost control and accidentally used my magic on her. Send her home and make sure she doesn’t leave until I am done talking to the King about her punishment," Elsa commanded the guards who immediately nodded and took Lulu.

Lulu saw Elsa wink at her which was part of their plan. She quickly ran to Elsa and hugged her, pretending to be asking for forgiveness.

"Practice at home, I will think of a plan so we can finally get out of here..." Elsa briskly whispered before the guards took Lulu once again.
