The Royal Mark-Chapter 327: Battle Armor
The two spent all day in their room and it was already dark when Amy went out to meet someone in the garden. She was wearing her leather pants and sleeveless shirt. The outfit that her mother made for her before she went to Arcanis to save Chris from the evil witch queen. It was her battle armor.
Her wings were out and she was carrying a bag while waiting patiently. Soon, a strong wind hit her direction, getting her attention.
She smiled upon seeing the fluffy winged wolf who was now grown up and had reached its adult height.
"Bendy! I missed you!" she exclaimed before patting the head of the creature making its tail wiggle.
"Please tell me that you only miss your pet that’s why you asked me to bring it here and that you are not planning something crazy. Your wings and clothing are scaring me," Elandir commented.
After Bendy completed its task of delivering a letter between Andrius and Lexi, Elsa decided to send the mythical creature to her mother, Hera. Not only would Bendy keep her mother company, but the winged wolf would also be much safer there. In Qiryn, Elsa was confident that no one would hunt it
Elsa smiled faintly and faced Elandir. "I need you to be here when Rocco arrives together with my father and aunt. I need you to make my husband understand that it’s Rocco’s blood that they need to be able to wake up the sleeping mages."
Elandir frowned not understanding anything. "Why me? Why not you?"
"King Mordrak wants me in exchange for my family. And right now that’s the only option I have to be able to save them and Arcanis, or perhaps the whole Vectus Mundus," Elsa explained.
Elandir raised his index finger and waved it to Elsa’s face. "No, no, no... I will not do such a thing. You are telling me to be the bringer of bad news to your husband, who is by the way a true alpha. Do you want me to get eaten by him? Do you not value our friendship?"
"You are the only one I trust, who can calm him down, and bring him back to his senses. He is still affected by the hecatolite so his wolf will act out again. There was still some potion left in case he would go berserk again."
Elandir scratched his head with both hands as he thought of what he must do. With a heavy sigh, he finally gave in and said, "Alright, tell me what to do. As long as you promise me that you will be safe then I will help you. I don’t want Hera to kill me just because I didn’t stop her daughter when I knew that she would be in danger."
"Don’t worry. The demon king would not hurt me. I promise you," she assured Elandir.
Elandir ran both his hands again on his face as he exhaled loudly. He could already imagine the problem that he was about to face. A problem that’s not his, to begin with.
Elsa could see the hesitation on his face, so he decided to give out more details. But the more she revealed the more he became anxious.
"The fuck are you thinking? You really are your mother’s daughter. I can’t deal with you both! I don’t know what would I do with you anymore!" Elandir exclaimed after hearing her plan.
"That’s okay, Elandir. You don’t have to think of what you should do. Just do what I told you and trust me. I got this... It’s getting late. I should go."
Elandir sighed with too much weight in his heart and said, "Be safe, and don’t die! We will see each other again someday. Please promise me that wherever you are, you will take care of yourself."
"I promise..." Elsa said before spreading her wings and flying away. Bendy looked at Elandir who nodded before swiftly flying as well, following her.
Elsa glanced at Bendy who flew beside her. The creature seemed to be happy having someone to fly with.
"Bendy," she called out and it stared at her, waiting for her words. "If Rocco will grow wings like mine someday, teach him how to fly alright? Be his best friend and never leave his side, alright?"
Bendy tilted its head and growled softly before tearing its gaze away from her and looking ahead again.
Elsa giggled, as the mythical creature seemed to understand her and disagree with her thoughts.
She used her air magic to help her and Bendy fly faster, to reach their destination as soon as possible. However, before arriving at the agreed location, she stopped and commanded Bendy.
"Stay..." Elsa gently stroked its fur before adding, "Please keep my son safe. I am counting on you." She embraced the winged wolf and gave it a kiss on its head before walking away.
After a few steps, she looked back one last time and saw Bendy sitting while watching her leave.
She continued walking until she saw the lights from the torches from afar. Her heart started beating fast, thinking of what she was about to do. She composed herself before finally walking into the lion’s den.
"Thank you for reaching out to me earlier than expected, My Queen. I hope everything was alright back at home?" the man asked.
"Yes, everything is alright. Thank you for your help," she replied while scanning the surroundings behind the man.
"You seemed like you were looking for something. Or should I say someone?"
"You know who I am looking for. Where are they?" she demanded but with a soft voice, not wanting to irritate the man.
"Relax, I brought them with me. They are in the carriage. However, I don’t quite understand why you asked me to go here with them. You haven’t stated the purpose of this meeting." 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
Elsa gulped, it was as if her body refused to say the words that she was about to say. But she collected all her courage and said, "I am here to do our trade. I am accepting your offer Mordrak. I will marry you in exchange for my family and the cure for Chris."
