The Revenge of the Reborn Supreme Sovereign-Chapter 297 - 291: They’re Dead!
With their furious attacks, the soldiers swept through the hotel floor by floor, causing countless guests to flood into the lobby. Before they could even demand an explanation, the chaotic scene struck them dumb.
The Imperial Hotel... has it been cleared out? And by soldiers, no less? Insane! This is truly insane!
"To avoid getting caught in the crossfire, everyone, please leave!" Qin Fan announced, gesturing for them to go. "I deeply apologize for the inconvenience and trouble this has caused you!"
Is that supposed to be an apology? the guests thought. This guy clearly wasn't with the hotel; he looked more like the leader of this destructive mob! Could a young man, who didn't look a day over twenty, really command a group of fierce, uniformed soldiers to trash Guo Wenhai's territory?
Regardless of the truth, it was obvious they could no longer stay here. As Qin Fan had said, it was best to avoid getting caught in the middle. After a brief hesitation, the guests scrambled to get outside. The monk may flee, but the temple cannot. Their check-in information was on record, so they could always take up any claims for damages with Guo Wenhai later.
By the time the destruction reached the thirtieth floor of the thirty-eight-story hotel, the sound of cars screeching to a halt echoed from the entrance. A middle-aged man, his face a mask of fury, kicked open the door of his Mercedes. Radiating a murderous rage, he led a team of over twenty men and charged into the hotel.
"Chairman Guo!"
"Chairman Guo!"
"Chairman Guo!"
As if seeing their savior, the hotel employees cried out in excitement the moment Guo Wenhai appeared. Although only the security guards and the young female manager had been physically harmed, the psychological shock they had all suffered was immense.
"Is everyone all right?" Guo Wenhai asked, temporarily ignoring Qin Fan as he addressed his staff.
"We're... we're fine, Chairman Guo! But the manager, she—!" one employee exclaimed, pointing to the young woman who had been slapped to the ground by Tie Niu and still hadn't gotten up.
"Help her up," Guo Wenhai ordered, still paying Qin Fan no mind. He flicked a finger at the men in black behind him.
"Yes, Chairman Guo!" two of them responded, stepping toward the female manager.
"You won't be able to help her up," Qin Fan said with a faint smile, shaking his head as he watched them approach.
"In the Ningchuan Earth Realm, there's no one we can't help up!" one of the men in black retorted, glancing expressionlessly at Qin Fan before continuing forward.
"Is that so?" Qin Fan's question came out leisurely, just as the two men were a few steps from the manager.
As his voice faded, he brandished the Hemp Vine Whip. Before the men could even react, the whip lashed through the air.
SWOOSH! SWOOSH! SWOOSH!
In a flash, the whip's shadow flickered. The next moment, the Whip Force tore through the air and brutally struck the two men. With a sickening CRACK, the two burly men, their temples bulging slightly, groaned in pain and collapsed.
"I told you," Qin Fan said, walking over and placing his foot on one man's chest. He shook his head mockingly. "You can't help her up."
"Seize him!" Guo Wenhai's expression finally shifted as he looked up at Qin Fan, issuing the command at the same time.
Over the years, this team of Imperial Guards, which he had spent a fortune to train, had become his most steadfast shield. He was momentarily stunned that Qin Fan had felled two of his Personal Guards with a single strike, but he remained fully confident in his order. A sneak attack... that doesn't count as real skill!
CLANG, CLANG, CLANG!
FIZZ, FIZZ, FIZZ!
At Guo Wenhai's command, the remaining twenty-odd men in black simultaneously drew their folding electric batons. With a flick of their wrists, the sizzle of hundreds of thousands of volts filled the air. Without needing another order, they fanned out, forming a tight circle around Qin Fan. They lunged in unison, stabbing their slender batons toward him.
"If this is your crew, you're nothing more than a second-rate thug," Qin Fan sneered. "And you dare use the title of a City God? Utterly laughable!"
As he spoke, he gave them no chance to get close. He spun the Hemp Vine Whip in a full three-hundred-and-sixty-degree arc.
WHISH! WHISH! WHISH!
In the next blink of an eye, after several rotations of the Soft Whip, the twenty-odd men in black froze in place.
The next second, their electric batons clattered to the floor. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
And the second after that, they all instinctively clutched their necks.
THUMP!
THUMP, THUMP!
THUMP, THUMP, THUMP!
A series of heavy thuds echoed through the lobby as the men collapsed one after another like a row of dominoes.
Within seven seconds, the entire twenty-man Imperial Guard lay on the ground. Everyone's pupils constricted in shock. These men, the elite Imperial Guard of Ningchuan that Guo Wenhai had poured a fortune into creating, were all dead. In the span of a few breaths, every last one had fallen to the Soft Whip.
A total wipeout. This was true annihilation.
"You... you... they!" Guo Wenhai stared at the scene, his face draining of color as a look of terrified disbelief spread across it. He couldn't believe it. Just moments ago, he had deemed this young man unworthy of his attention. Now, that same youth had annihilated the very guard that helped him conquer half of Ningchuan. Who in the world sent this monster?
Guo Wenhai's composure shattered. His mind raced, desperately cycling through the names of his enemies.
"They're dead," Qin Fan stated calmly, meeting the panic in Guo Wenhai's eyes.
"Who... Who in the world are you?" When Qin Fan's casual words hit him, Guo Wenhai's eyes widened, his pupils rapidly dilating. He, Guo Wenhai, had actually crossed a monster capable of wiping out his elite team with a single whip strike?
Damn it! Who in the hell have I provoked?!
"I'm the one who's going to make you question your very existence," Qin Fan said, his face hardening. He tucked away the Soft Whip and stood with his hands clasped behind his back, calmly observing the fear in Guo Wenhai's eyes.
Suddenly, just as a flicker of desperate madness appeared in Guo Wenhai's gaze, Qin Fan shook his head and laughed mockingly. "Don't even think about pulling a gun. That wouldn't be a wise choice. Just wait here quietly. My people will be down shortly to settle the accounts with you. And don't try to run. If you make it through that door, I'll admit defeat."
