The Revenge of the Reborn Supreme Sovereign-Chapter 241 - 237: The Final Warning! (4)
"Can't you understand plain English? Stop bothering me and get lost!" Qin Fan snapped. He had no pleasantries for the two women who had tried to make a fool of him at the royal party.
"Will it kill you to stop putting on airs? Do you have to be so cold? Humph, just a little brat trying to act all profound!" It seemed that ever since that night at the royal party, Zhong Litong had become immune to Qin Fan's cold remarks. Faced with another dismissal, she just pouted and huffed.
Ignoring Zhong Litong's muttering, Qin Fan turned to Lai Zhuge. "Old Lai, let's pack up."
"Right away, Master Qin!" Lai Zhuge promptly responded.
He knew exactly what "pack up" meant. Traveling light, the only things to gather were his two Zen sticks.
Master Qin?
The title left Chen Yunyun and Zhong Litong utterly stunned.
First, an influential official respectfully called him Young Master Qin. Now, an old man who could be his grandfather is calling him Master Qin. Their heads were spinning. Who in the world was this guy, putting on this cold, profound act?
Soon, their astonishment escalated when the sight of Lai Zhuge pulling two Zen sticks from the car nearly blinded them.
Zen sticks? Like the ones monks use? Holy crap! Are they going to perform some kind of ritual?
"Hey, where are you two going?" Zhong Litong couldn't help but ask again.
"Ladies, I advise you to leave quickly! Don't provoke Master Qin," Lai Zhuge said, gripping the Zen sticks tightly as he shook his head with a cautionary smile.
"Why waste words on them? Let's go," Qin Fan said with a frown.
With that curt remark, he turned and started walking. As for this car that won't start, he'll just abandon it.
"Young Master Qin, let me give you a lift! It's not convenient for you to take a motorcycle taxi with those things. My car is right across the street!" Chen Yunyun said, stepping forward and biting her lip.
But Qin Fan acted as if he hadn't heard her. He and Lai Zhuge walked to the roadside, hailed a pair of motorcycle taxis, and sped away.
"That guy just loves to put on an act!" Zhong Litong grumbled angrily, watching their retreating figures.
Chen Yunyun pursed her lips thoughtfully, her gaze following the motorcycle taxis until they vanished from sight.
"Yunyun, let's follow them! Let's see what they're really up to, what do you say?" Zhong Litong, who clearly hadn't learned her lesson, was itching for some excitement and eager to stir up trouble.
"I don't think that's a good idea," Chen Yunyun said hesitantly, her delicate brows furrowed.
"There's nothing wrong with it. We have nothing else to do anyway! Let's go after them. If we can keep up, we follow; if we lose them, we'll just drop it. How about it?" Zhong Litong urged.
Chen Yunyun chewed her lip, hesitating.
"Oh, come on, stop hesitating! Let's go!" Without waiting for a response, Zhong Litong grabbed her friend's hand and pulled her into a run.
「A few minutes later.」
「On the motorcycle taxi.」
Qin Fan took a deep breath and told the driver, "Alright, drop us off here."
"Master Qin, what's wrong? Aren't we rushing to First Beach?" Lai Zhuge asked, confused as he got off his motorcycle and looked at the quiet boulevard.
"Those two reckless women followed us," Qin Fan said, annoyed.
The words had barely left his mouth when he turned and dashed toward the approaching BMW X6.
"Did that pretender spot us?" Zhong Litong exclaimed, watching Qin Fan charge toward their car.
SCREECH!!!
As Zhong Litong spoke, a terrified Chen Yunyun slammed on the brakes, her eyes wide with incredible shock. Just a second ago, Qin Fan was dozens of yards away! How did he get in front of the car in the blink of an eye?
But even though she slammed on the brakes with all her might, the car's inertia made it impossible to stop immediately.
"AHHH!!!" Sharp cries of horror erupted from both women.
They braced for the image of Qin Fan being sent flying.
But the next moment, they were both dumbstruck, their eyes widening in pure, disbelieving horror.
The BMW had been speeding just moments before. It let out a harsh squeal as Qin Fan's single, outstretched hand on the hood brought it to an unbelievable halt.
Before they could react, Qin Fan walked around to the side of the car.
He swung his hand toward the windshield.
SMACK!
A dull thud echoed, but the windshield remained unchanged. Three seconds later, however, it silently crumbled into a cascade of tiny glass fragments that scattered onto the ground. The entire windshield was gone.
Chen Yunyun and Zhong Litong were stunned. They couldn't believe what they were seeing.
He shattered a reinforced windshield with a single slap? Even a hammer would take some effort to do that! Is he even human? What kind of monster is he?
In their dazed state, their minds went completely blank.
"Don't follow me. Don't bother me. This is a warning. The last warning," Qin Fan said coldly, his expressionless face turned toward the two women in the car, who looked as if they had seen a ghost.
With that, he turned and walked away.
After a moment, Zhong Litong's body jolted as if waking from a trance. "W-What kind of m-monster is he!" she stammered, her voice trembling with terror.
GULP.
Chen Yunyun swallowed hard, staring at his retreating back. "Let's go back! We have to go back!" she said in a panic. "We can't ever provoke him again!"
Without another word, she slammed the car into gear, whipped it around in a U-turn, and sped off. Her instinct screamed that if they continued to pester him, they would be courting death. The look in Qin Fan's eyes before he left had been utterly terrifying.
Watching the two women flee so pathetically, Lai Zhuge shook his head with a wry smile.
Of all the people to provoke, why him? Especially after they were repeatedly warned to leave him alone. They were lucky to be women. Lai Zhuge was certain that if they had been men, following him like that would have resulted in a far worse outcome than a shattered windshield. Qin Fan had been merciful.
"Master Qin, should I send our location to Ye Jizu so he can come pick us up? He's already at the hotel at First Beach," Lai Zhuge said, looking up at the returning Qin Fan.
"Mhm."
Following Qin Fan's quiet assent, Lai Zhuge immediately took out his phone to send their location to Ye Jizu.
Before long, an Audi screeched to a halt beside them.
Ye Jizu jumped out of the car and asked, bewildered, "Lai Shenxiang, Master Qin, what happened?"
"It's nothing. What's the format for the Martial Arts Conference? Tell me about it."
Ignoring Ye Jizu's confusion, Qin Fan spoke as he nonchalantly opened the rear car door and got in.
