The Revenge of the Reborn Supreme Sovereign-Chapter 225 - 211: Invisibility Talisman! (3)
It was just as he’d feared. The moment Qin Fan spoke the words ’collect a debt,’ Lai Zhuge’s heart began to pound uncontrollably. At this point, how could he not understand what Qin Fan meant? The Li Family had indeed reneged on their promise for the ten-billion-yuan Life Extending Fruit!
"Master Qin, I’m sorry!" A surge of shock and anger rose within Lai Zhuge, and his old face flushed with embarrassment.
He was the one who had brokered the deal and acted as the notary for the ten-billion-yuan transaction. Yet after acquiring the Life Extending Fruit, the Li Family disregarded his repeated reminders and went back on their promise. What a complete loss of face for him! For the distinguished Feng Shui Grandmaster of the southern school, Lai Shenxiang, to be slapped in the face like this was utterly infuriating.
"It’s fine. We’ll just charge them interest," Qin Fan said with an indifferent smile. "No one can owe me money and not pay it back—not even the Heavenly King himself."
"Master Qin, when do we leave?" Lai Zhuge asked urgently, his voice laced with a newfound indignation. He could no longer tolerate the Li Family’s actions.
As for his past friendship with the previous generation of the Li Family? It has completely evaporated with this generation’s duplicity.
"Go find a car. We’re leaving now," Qin Fan instructed.
"Alright. Please follow me, Master Qin."
After saying this, Lai Zhuge turned and walked out of the study. After giving a few brief instructions, he led Qin Fan, who walked half a step behind him, into the association’s courtyard.
A Toyota Alphard minivan quickly pulled out of the garage and stopped smoothly beside them.
"Master Qin, Master Lai Shenxiang, please get in," the young man in the driver’s seat said respectfully, having jumped out nimbly to open the door for them.
"Mm, thanks," Qin Fan replied with a sunny grin, ducking into the vehicle.
The journey from Jiangzhou to Zhuhai was about a hundred kilometers. In less than an hour and a half, Qin Fan and Lai Zhuge arrived at the border checkpoint.
"By the way, Master Qin, do you have a travel permit?" Lai Zhuge asked hastily. He had always crossed the border by invitation from Macau’s elite and had never needed a permit himself, so the thought had only just occurred to him.
"We don’t need one," Qin Fan said, slowly shaking his head. He took out a Talisman and handed it to Lai Zhuge. "Here, take this and stick it on your body."
"Master Qin, what is this?"
"An Invisibility Talisman."
An Invisibility Talisman? Does Qin Fan possess a super-tier Divine Skills Talisman like this? Besides being a Transformation Realm Grandmaster, does he truly hold the title of a First Layer Heavenly Master as well?
"Stop gawking and hurry up," Qin Fan said, clearly understanding Lai Zhuge’s astonishment. He pushed the Invisibility Talisman into Lai Zhuge’s hand, then scanned their surroundings, found a blind spot in the surveillance coverage, and quickly pressed the talisman to his own body.
He vanished without a sound or a trace. The moment the Invisibility Talisman was applied, Qin Fan seemed to disappear into thin air.
Seeing this, Lai Zhuge dared not hesitate any longer. He also found a spot outside the range of the security cameras, glanced around, and quickly applied the Invisibility Talisman to himself.
The two of them moved through the bustling crowd as if they were made of air. Knowing that a high-level Invisibility Talisman like this had a limited duration, Qin Fan signaled to Lai Zhuge, and they quickly passed through the crossing.
Two minutes later, they stepped onto Macau territory, one after the other. At the same instant, the Invisibility Talismans lost their effect. They materialized before the astonished eyes of many onlookers, who thought they were seeing things.
"Master Qin, forgive my audacity for asking, but are you a Heavenly Master?" No longer able to contain his shock, Lai Zhuge whispered nervously.
"Whether I am or not is unimportant. Enough with the nonsense, lead the way to the Li Family’s casino," Qin Fan said, brushing the question aside. He didn’t even know what a Heavenly Master was and couldn’t be bothered to explain.
Sensing Qin Fan’s attitude, Lai Zhuge’s heart skipped a beat, and he dared not say more. He meekly agreed, then hailed a taxi, gave the driver the name of the Li family’s casino, and they sped off.
「One hour later.」
At the Junlin Casino, hundreds of gamblers were crowded several layers deep around a baccarat table. The reason was simple: a "Gambling God" had appeared, one who hadn’t lost a single hand.
"Gambling God, what’s the bet this round?"
"Yeah, Gambling God, place your bet! Hurry up!"
Seeing the countdown timer ticking down to its final seconds while Qin Fan still hadn’t pushed out his chips, the crowd of gamblers, who had been chanting to follow his lead, grew anxious.
"All-in on a Pair." With a wicked smirk, Qin Fan pushed all of his accumulated chips—worth just over ten million—onto the ’Pair’ betting area.
Seeing this, the crowd of gamblers was stunned.
All-in on a Pair? Does he really think he has X-ray vision and can see through the shoe?
In that brief moment of hesitation, time was up.
The croupier, who had been sweating bullets, couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief when she saw Qin Fan go all-in on a pair. She assumed this was a house expert brought in to create a spectacle, a tactic she had seen a few times before. They would let someone go on an unbeatable streak and then have them lose it all back in one dramatic hand.
Taking a deep breath, the croupier’s tense face relaxed into a smile. Her previously trembling hands steadied as she smiled and smoothly dealt the cards.
But a few seconds later, her heart nearly leaped out of her chest as large beads of sweat instantly dotted her forehead.
On the table, the Player’s hand was a pair of Kings!
A pair that paid eleven to one! 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
"Holy shit, it really is a pair!"
"Damn it! Eleven to one! Ahhh, I can’t believe I missed it!"
SLAP! SLAP! SLAP!
A cacophony of incredulous gasps, frustrated roars, and the sharp sound of people slapping their own faces erupted around the table. This round, no one had been crazy enough to follow Qin Fan’s bet on a pair. But in their caution, they had missed out on the massive eleven-to-one payout.
"Sorry, I won again," Qin Fan said with a smile, looking up at the pale-faced female croupier. "Would you like to change dealers?"
SWOOSH! SWOOSH! SWOOSH!
As Qin Fan’s words fell, the sea of people around the table suddenly parted, creating a path.
CLAP. CLAP. CLAP.
Applause echoed down the newly formed aisle. A middle-aged man, followed by seven or eight burly men in sharp suits, walked over.
"Young man, impressive skills. Turning one thousand into one hundred thirty million without a single loss... tsk tsk. In all my years in the casino business, I’ve never seen anything like it," the middle-aged man said, suppressing his anger with a sneer. He walked up to Qin Fan, his eyes mockingly surveying the old man and the youth.
Casually turning his head to meet the middle-aged man’s deep, hawk-like eyes, Qin Fan shook his head with a dismissive chuckle. "That’s because your casino hadn’t met me before. Heh. Oh, by the way, I forgot to tell you, my target today is one point three billion. That means I’m just one win away. Care to watch me reach my goal on the next hand?"
BUZZ—!
The entire crowd was stunned.
The middle-aged man’s eyes sharpened as he stared intently at Qin Fan in silence. He hoped to intimidate Qin Fan with his gaze, but he was disappointed.
In response, he switched to a different plan. "I know powerful outsiders like to make a splash. Consider this one hundred thirty million a gift from the Junlin Casino. Now, leave."
With that, the middle-aged man raised a finger and pointed toward the main entrance.
