The Revenge of the Reborn Supreme Sovereign-Chapter 178 - 175: Blue-eyed Wolf, Phantom!
Amidst a powerful explosion, a pungent, burning smell became unbearably strong. Even from several dozen meters away, the foul odor managed to seep into No. 1 Villa.
"What’s going on!" Ma Yunbin instinctively frowned and cried out anxiously.
"The car was bombed! Damn it, who the hell did this! To stir up trouble on my turf... they have a death wish!" Ye Jizu, who had reflexively bolted at the moment of the explosion, stared at the car outside No. 1 Villa. It had been blown far away, a mangled heap of scrap metal now billowing acrid smoke. He clenched his fists and roared, his fury boundless. On his own turf in Jiangzhou, someone had dared to tamper with his car. This was a blatant slap in the face, a direct challenge to his authority!
In this moment, Ye Jizu could say he had never been more furious in over thirty years. The rage roiling within him was on the verge of detonating!
Qin Fan, however, remained silent. A sinister smile crept onto his suddenly somber face as he stood up from the sofa and snatched the miniature drone carrying the piece of paper.
"Mr. Qin, be careful!"
"Mr. Qin, be careful!"
Seeing Qin Fan grab the strange object that had just flown in, Ye Jizu and Ma Yunbin shouted in alarm. Just a moment ago, the car parked outside had been blown up. Now, this contraption had flown in immediately after. Logically, based on the ploys they were used to, this thing was practically labeled as a deadly threat!
But when they saw Qin Fan silently ignore them, the two grew even more panicked, nearly diving to the floor for cover.
CRACKLE! POP!
In Qin Fan’s grip, the drone made a sound like popping soybeans before it shattered, scattering into pieces across the floor.
Seeing this, Ye Jizu and Ma Yunbin finally let out a heavy sigh of relief. Their gazes then fixed intently on the paper that Qin Fan was slowly unfolding.
"Dearest little friend, isn’t this gift a pleasant surprise? Unexpected, right? Haha! I’ll let you in on a little secret: the operation to snipe and behead you begins the very second you read this note! So, get ready. Think if you have any last words for your family! Hope you can live your best life in the time you have left! Regards, Blue-eyed Wolf."
"Blue-eyed Wolf?" Ma Yunbin, who had peeked over at the note, suddenly turned pale, an expression of pure fear on his face.
"Damn it! How could it be that bastard! He’s the only scumbag in the world who has the gall to challenge all assassin and mercenary organizations by himself. Starting as one man, he built a thirty-man sniper squad. Over the years, they’ve stolen countless jobs from major organizations. They all want him dead but are powerless to do anything about it! For that bastard to dare set foot on this crimson soil... he’s insane, completely insane!" Although Ye Jizu was roaring, his face had turned visibly pale.
Blue-eyed Wolf was also known as ’The Ghost.’ He was an absolute phantom, capable of calmly sniping a tribal chief protected by more than a dozen Superpower Users!
Over the years, enough gifted experts had died at the hands of that bastard to fill a reinforced company. Yet, he still managed to flit about the world freely, continuing to take on assassination missions with astronomical price tags!
Who is it? Who offered a price so high that he’d risk sneaking in here to carry out a mission? Damn it! 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
Ye Jizu panicked. Even though he knew Qin Fan’s power was enough to kill Lan Tianchun in seconds, he was now facing the treacherous, ghost-like Blue-eyed Wolf and his sniper team, which had suffered zero casualties in five years. He couldn’t stop his heart from pounding.
People are often afraid of the unknown, and Blue-eyed Wolf was the very definition of the unknown. The whole world knew he existed, but not a single person—or even a single country—knew what he looked like. According to disclosed overseas videos of his operations, Blue-eyed Wolf always appeared with a different face. Faced with the reputation of such a phantom-like monster, Ye Jizu felt a chill run down his spine, even knowing the target was Qin Fan.
"That bastard has declared more than once that he won’t take jobs for less than one hundred million US dollars, and he won’t take jobs within Huaxia’s borders. Damn it... what kind of price would make Blue-eyed Wolf willing to take such a risk?" Ma Yunbin shivered slightly, his throat working as he forced the words out.
"That’s not important," Qin Fan said, his lips barely moving. "What’s important is that he chose a way to introduce himself that suggests he wants to die sooner rather than later."
Under the puzzled and astonished gazes of Ma Yunbin and Ye Jizu, Qin Fan raised the paper to his nose. With a grim expression, he took a deep sniff, sealing the scent’s unique signature into his Divine Thought.
He didn’t know if it truly belonged to Blue-eyed Wolf, but with this scent, he had ten thousand ways to ferret him out.
"Mr. Qin, what... what does this mean?" Ma Yunbin asked in a shocked and puzzled tone.
"It means nothing. You two can head back now. Have someone come and pick you up. He isn’t after you, so there’s no need to worry. Go back and prepare the packaging design and sales channels for Spirit Fruit No. 1 and Spiritual Water No. 1. We’ll launch them in a few days!" Qin Fan said calmly, as if nothing had just happened.
My god! At a time like this, Qin Fan was still thinking about Spiritual Water No. 1 and Spirit Fruit No. 1? How could they possibly be at ease without dealing with the massive potential threat of Blue-eyed Wolf? Faced with this unknown, mysterious phantom, did Mr. Qin truly have absolute confidence in his ability to counter the assassination?
Ye Jizu’s lips moved, wanting to say something more, but he held back. Instead, he said, "Alright, Mr. Qin. This Blue-eyed Wolf is not your average assassin. In the industry, he’s a legend! From the day he started taking jobs, he has never failed. He’s earned the name ’The Ghost’ because, in all his years of operation, no one knows what he really looks like. So, Mr. Qin, please be extra careful!"
"Mm-hm, go on back," Qin Fan said with a light chuckle and a nod.
"Alright, Mr. Qin, then we’ll head out!" Ma Yunbin replied.
THUD! THUD! THUD!
CLANG! CLANG!
Just then, alarmed by the sudden incident, a group of security guards rushed into the villa grounds. They were fully armed with helmets, shields, and stun batons.
"Resident in the villa, are you okay? Is everything alright?" a guard in the lead shouted nervously from a distance, peering through the open doors.
"Tell them to scram on your way out," Qin Fan said with a small smile and a dismissive wave. He seemed to appreciate their courage. "It’s a good thing this didn’t turn into a real battlefield. If it had, their deaths as cannon fodder would have been utterly worthless."
"Sure thing, Mr. Qin. We’ll head out now, and we’ll have someone come clean up for you later!"
With a nod from Qin Fan, Ma Yunbin and Ye Jizu walked out one after the other.
