The Revenge of the Reborn Supreme Sovereign-Chapter 111 - 108: Lan Tianchun!
"Lan Tianchun!"
With Lan Tianchun’s arrival, the three Martial Arts Masters furrowed their brows, their expressions turning grim as they spoke his name in unison.
"Oh? You recognize me! Well, that saves me the trouble of introducing myself!" Lan Tianchun ran a hand through his blue hair, a look of wild arrogance on his face. He swept a disdainful glance over the three Martial Arts Masters before his eyes landed on Ye Jizu. "You dare remain seated in my presence?" he taunted. "Who gave you the nerve?"
Before Ye Jizu could respond, Lan Tianchun finished speaking, raised his hand, and swiped it down through the air in Ye Jizu’s direction.
Caught completely off guard, Ye Jizu’s mind went blank. The next instant, the chair he was sitting on collapsed with a sharp CRACK! He landed hard on the floor, all the color draining from his face, leaving it deathly pale.
This display of strength sent a jolt of shock through the three Martial Arts Masters, and their expressions changed drastically.
Two of them were masters of Dark Energy Great Success, but could they perform such a feat? No, they couldn’t. From this, it was clear that the rumors of Lan Tianchun having reached the Dark Energy Peak were no exaggeration. To reach the Dark Energy Peak in his thirties... this was simply defying the natural order! Even Huaxia’s number one martial artist, Hua Xiaotian, was only at the Dark Energy Peak when he was in his thirties. Had Lan Xiaosheng’s son truly reached the same Martial Arts Realm at that age? Compared to his father, this was the quintessential example of the student surpassing the master.
"Which one of you killed my brother-in-law? Step forward. I’ll grant you a quick death!" Lan Tianchun snorted with contempt.
"Lan Tianchun, do you really think the three of us combined can’t defeat you?" the arrogant Master Guo retorted, his brow twitching coldly.
"So, you three have decided to die alongside Ye Jizu," Lan Tianchun jeered, his lips curling into a smirk. He looked at the three Martial Arts Masters as if they were nothing more than ants.
"You really think you’ve got us?" Master Fu bellowed, stung by the condescending glare. Martial Arts Masters held their honor above all else, and Lan Tianchun’s dismissive gaze was trampling all over it.
"Got you?" Lan Tianchun scoffed. He shook his head. "What do you all amount to? Killing you is as easy as slaughtering dogs!"
As he uttered these arrogant words, the imposing aura of his Dark Energy Peak cultivation burst forth.
"Lan Tianchun, you’re courting death!" Master Guo, himself a master of Dark Energy Great Success, roared, his face flushing crimson with uncontrollable rage. In the blink of an eye, he vanished. He reappeared directly in front of Lan Tianchun. "Take this palm strike!" he bellowed, thrusting a hand hardened by thick calluses straight at Lan Tianchun’s chest.
"A mantis trying to stop a chariot. You don’t know your own strength," Lan Tianchun huffed disdainfully. He didn’t bother dodging the powerful palm strike. Instead, just before it could land, his hand shot forward. He accurately seized Master Guo’s shoulder and twisted with immense force.
Master Guo’s attack halted abruptly. The twist spun his entire body around, giving him no chance to react. Lan Tianchun lifted his leg and kicked him squarely in the backside.
BANG!
Moving at the speed of a Dark Energy Peak expert, the kick sent the unprepared Master Guo flying forward, slamming heavily into the tea table.
"I’ll give you one last chance! The one who killed Zhan Long, step forward! Otherwise, I’ll kill all of you!" A chilling killing intent erupted from Lan Tianchun as he shouted, clearly tired of wasting time.
"Charge!"
The one who killed Zhan Long? How were they supposed to know who that was? They were only here today to repay a favor and help Ye Jizu out of this disaster. How could they possibly retreat now? Besides, after Master Guo was humiliated with such a kick, how could they swallow their pride? A master of Dark Energy Great Success was no match for someone at the Dark Energy Peak. But what about two masters at Great Success, plus another who was only a step away? They had to try.
"Looks like you’d rather do this the hard way!" Lan Tianchun’s expression turned completely cold. Facing the three charging Martial Arts Masters, he met their advance with a look of utter disdain.
He countered an incoming fist with an elbow and sidestepped, unleashing a vicious kick of his own against a sweeping leg attack.
BANG! BOOM!
Two distinct sounds exploded from the exchange. Master Guo, who had thrown the kick, clutched his shin and howled in pain. Master Fu, who had thrown the punch, staggered back several steps. He gouged a deep scar into the wooden floorboards before finally slamming into the wall. His punching hand was completely numb, as if it had been crippled.
Seeing the two Great Success masters so thoroughly defeated, Master Zhou, who had been slightly slower, froze in his tracks, his face a mask of horror.
But his hesitation did not earn him mercy. With a cold snort, Lan Tianchun slapped the tabletop, launching himself into the air. He executed a vicious hook kick that swept towards the back of Master Zhou’s neck.
BOOM!
The blow smashed Master Zhou’s head straight into the ground. The force of the impact was so great that his head punched clean through the floorboards, which were several centimeters thick. He wasn’t dead, but he lay gasping for breath, his face a ruin.
"Ye Jizu, did you really think hiring a few worthless clowns would save you? Haven’t you ever heard? In the Martial Arts Realms, every rank is a Heavenly Chasm. You thought bringing in two Great Success failures and a piece of Middle Stage trash could protect you?" Having defeated all three without a second glance, Lan Tianchun loomed over the trembling Ye Jizu and licked his lips with a wicked grin. "Haha, who was it that killed my brother-in-law? I’ll give you one more chance to call for reinforcements. Get him over here! Otherwise, you’re about to learn the true meaning of a fate worse than death!"
"Lan Tianchun! Zhan Long tried to kill me first! I gave him a chance! He brought this on himself!" Forcing his trembling body upright, Ye Jizu, the underground leader of Lingnan, clung to his last shred of dignity and screamed hoarsely at Lan Tianchun.
"You should know those words are meaningless. Zhan Long was my brother-in-law, my father’s son-in-law, and my nephew’s father. You made my sister a widow!" Lan Tianchun advanced on him step by step. He picked up a pair of wooden tea tongs and used them to lift Ye Jizu’s chin. "So, you have to die. And whoever helped you kill him has to die, too."
"Lord Ye, didn’t I tell you to wait for me? Why start the party so soon?"
As silently as a ghost, Qin Fan appeared at the top of the stairs, his calm voice cutting through the tension.
"Master Qin!" Hearing that voice, Ye Jizu felt as if he were clutching a final, life-saving straw and cried out with unbridled excitement.
SWISH!
Lan Tianchun spun around, his dark, grim eyes locking onto Qin Fan. "You’re the one who killed Zhan Long?" he asked, his voice dripping with ice.
"Yep, that’s right," Qin Fan replied with a harmless-looking smile. "He died from Seven Orifices Bleeding."
