The Return of the Cannon Fodder Trillion Heiress-Chapter 1040 Use Her To Ignite The Flame
"Me! Me too, brother! I want some too!" Bry chimed in excitedly, hand shooting into the air. Since they were rushing to get to the venue on time, they hadn’t stopped to eat. They’d agreed to just grab a few snacks for now and save a proper meal for after the concert; none of them wanted to risk getting stuck in traffic and arriving late.
"Alright, I’ll get you all something," Zhane said, leaving Hera in Rafael’s care as he headed out to find snacks outside the venue.
Once Zhane left, Rafael gently pushed Hera’s wheelchair toward their seats at the front. From there, they could see the staff bustling around, checking the stage and fine-tuning other aspects of the venue like the sound, lighting, and special effects. Some staff members were even marking cues on the stage so Logan would know exactly where to stand during his performance.
Honestly, Hera didn’t know what to expect. Since this was Logan’s debut concert, she had assumed he might just stand there and sing. But seeing the preparations, it was clear it would be far more elaborate.
People were slowly filing into their seats. The venue was massive, capable of holding five thousand in the stadium and three hundred at the center closest to the stage. Hera’s seats were right at the very front and center, giving her a perfect view of Logan and even the chance to interact with him if he came closer. She and her entourage occupied the center section, and she had made sure to buy tickets for her bodyguards as well.
At first, she had a hard time finding suitable seats close to her, but thanks to a scalper who bought tickets only to resell them at a higher price, she managed to secure a few. This allowed her bodyguards to accompany her inside. Even though her security detail was already thorough, she still couldn’t bring Leo. Regardless, extra caution was necessary, after all, this was a major event.
Hera then looked up and saw the massive screen at the top of the circular stadium, designed so that even those seated far away could see Logan, who would otherwise look like a tiny speck from a distance.
The screen loomed above her position, supported by sturdy steel frames. The stadium roof was open, as Logan’s performance would take place at night, and fireworks were planned both at the start of the concert and afterward, ensuring every guest could enjoy the spectacle.
Seeing the grandeur of the event, Hera could tell that every detail had been carefully planned to make a spectacular debut for Logan in the entertainment industry, and she couldn’t help but smile at the thought.
As Hera looked around, she noticed fans in the stadium waving light sticks and holding cute banners. She and her friends hadn’t brought any, so her gaze kept darting around with curiosity.
Rafael, noticing her restlessness and her head turning from side to side like a curious child, gently patted her on the head and asked, "What’s wrong? Do you want one of those, too?" He nodded toward the gold and sky-blue light sticks being waved excitedly by the fans.
Although their chatter couldn’t be heard from this distance, it was clear they were thrilled about Logan’s concert. Seeing Hera’s curiosity, Rafael couldn’t resist asking.
"Um... I think it would be great to use one to support Logan, but I have no idea where to get it," Hera replied, just as she was about to send one of her bodyguards to ask around so she could buy some for herself and her group.
"I’ll go grab some for you," Rafael said with a smile, pinching her cheek playfully. "But I can’t get the banners; they were made by the fans themselves."
Hera pouted adorably, playing along with Rafael, but still nodded and thanked him sweetly. She knew that, even if she didn’t know exactly where, there would surely be merchandise stalls set up by the staff outside to boost the concert’s revenue.
She was certain Rafael was thinking the same thing; he just had to step out and ask around, and he’d find the stalls. Since they had entered through the VVIP entrance, they hadn’t seen any of it, so she had simply forgotten.
"Thank you..." Hera said with a sweet smile, hugging Rafael’s arm. Seeing her like that, looking playful and mischievous, like a cat who had just stolen a fish, Rafael couldn’t help himself; he pressed a gentle kiss to her cheek and nuzzled his nose against hers.
Everyone else who witnessed the affectionate display quickly looked away, feeling once again force-fed with dog food. They were used to it by now, but they couldn’t help blushing at the sight of the couple’s sweetness.
Liz, who had come alone, had to cover Bry’s eyes; he was sitting beside her, curious, and she didn’t want him picking up tricks on how to become a smooth talker or lady-killer in the future.
For the moment, she decided to keep Bry occupied elsewhere.
Meanwhile, Athena, seeing Rafael’s tender gesture, mischievously elbowed Zen, signaling him to step up and serve her just as well. Zen’s face turned crimson, and he quickly looked away. With Rafael and Hera on his other side, he had no choice but to stare at the sky above, pretending to ignore Athena’s teasing cue.
Athena laughed out loud, long aware of Zen’s thin skin and how easily embarrassed he could be. His innocence delighted her, and she found herself enjoying the unfolding dynamic between herself and Zen even more. Deep down, however, what pleased her the most was the sly sense that she, like an old cow, was eating the young grass which was Zen.
Athena let out another cackle as she imagined it. Physically, she was only nineteen, but mentally, she felt closer to sixty. She couldn’t help but feel this way, and she didn’t feel guilty about it. After all, it was her life and her enjoyment, and as long as she wasn’t hurting anyone, who had the right to judge her?
Not long after, Rafael left, accompanied by one of the bodyguards to help carry the items he was buying. But before he went, he gave Hera one last kiss, an intimate moment that was caught on camera by some fans who recognized her.
The photo quickly spread online, reaching Hera’s fans and instantly trending. Without intending to, Hera’s shared moment with Rafael boosted Logan’s publicity, since it was tied to the concert she was attending.
The back-to-back trending topic drew more attention to the event, and those who couldn’t get tickets opted to buy his merchandise instead. Behind the scenes, the staff exchanged excited glances, all seeing dollar signs in each other’s eyes. They had invested so much in preparing the venue, and now, with the trending buzz, they had a perfect opportunity to maximize their profits.
The Music Director, who had been sitting at the back of the stage with the rest of the team, stood up and immediately called some staff over to set up an online merchandise store. To make it more enticing, he announced that the more fans bought, the higher their chance of winning access to a live broadcast of the concert, a kind of "pay-to-win" opportunity.
Once the staff understood the plan, they quickly got to work, confident they had enough time to implement the changes. Not long after, the link went live on the official site.
Meanwhile, the Music Director contacted the merchandise manufacturer to produce more items. The online store featured not only Logan’s merchandise but also his CD and promotional material for streaming platforms like Spotify, timed to release simultaneously, like a bomb being dropped from the sky, generating maximum impact.
On top of that, the Director made another decision as he conferred with the cameramen at the front. "Make sure to get plenty of screen time with the beautiful girl sitting in the front row," he instructed, placing a hand on his hip with a cunning glint in his eyes.
He knew that Hera’s fans were like a walking publicity machine; they didn’t even need paid marketing; her followers would spread it far more effectively than any online campaign.
Luckily, Logan had requested that she receive a free ticket and had even sent her ten more. With minimal investment, the Director had managed to earn the favor of this "Goddess of Wealth," reaping huge returns with almost no effort.
"Director, are you sure about this?" the cameraman asked. He was supposed to focus on filming Logan the entire time, and putting a fan in the spotlight like this was something he had never done before. Still, he could only follow orders and nodded reluctantly.
The cameraman thought this way because he hadn’t yet realized who Hera was. But once he did, he’d probably see just how cunning their director was, using the popularity of another celebrity to draw even more attention. After all, Hera’s fanbase had already grown into the millions and was fast approaching 12 million followers.
The moment the cameraman walked away, the Director’s smile returned, cunning, fox-like. He turned to his team and whispered, "Keep Hera at the center and tie her presence to Logan. Let’s use her popularity to ignite the flame."
