The Princess's Dangerous Vampire Mate-Chapter 43: The palace of Lethoris- III
"B-but I am a concubine!" I said the words out loud before I realised it.
"What?" He hissed and his expressions visibility darkened. He did not like what I had just told him and I wanted to take advantage of that. Me belonging to someone else gave him the expression that I was unreachable since I already belong to someone else.
I nodded my head vigorously. "Yes sir, I belong to the second crown Prince." Desperate times call for desperate measures and this was as low as I could go or so I hoped.
"Lysar? You belong to him?" He spat.
I nodded my head confirming what he just said. "Yes, it is Prince Lysar that I belong to and I had just left his room on to the way of mine."
His eyes watched my face and my body as I stood straight and thankfully my long skirt had covered my shaking legs. My eyes widened slightly as a notice the smile graces my face which was more malicious than ever seen before by me.
What was it with the princess of this country? All of them seem to be full of maliciousness and horror.
"I guess that is a good thing for me because the second crown Prince loves to share."
What?!
Before I could object or even open my mouth for it my hand was trapped by the prince and I was dragged to the room of the second crown Prince the one where I had told was the man that owned me.
His chambers opened and the Prince inside looked at us with an enraged expression.
"What is the meaning of the—"
I gasped loudly when I heard it. The howls they were and they had attracted the attention of the princes with me as well.
My eyes briefly met with those of the second before he addressed his brother.
"Should we?" He asked his brother who looked torn.
"Let’s ask father." Prince Lysar looked at me. "Stay here." He commanded before both of them fled from the room leaving me alone here.
I looked out of the huge balcony and walked out to it.
It was a beautiful night and the only horrifying article of it was the loud howling of the wolves that we heard which had effectively scared everyone. Even the crowned princes which protected by the strongest army.
I swallowed the bile that had a reason for my trade the very thing that I had come here was something that was in front of me. I gripped the balcony as I looked out, down below I saw the princes accompanied by numerous guards ride off into the direction that the howls were coming from.
My eyes followed them.
*********
A loud thud was heard and I stood up immediately. The Prince had returned and I had waited for him or fallen asleep doing so.
He stopped when his eyes found me. He glanced to where I had been and gone frowned. "Why are you awake? Better yet, why are you here, to begin with? I remember I gave your the servants quarters."
"Yes," a strained smile came to my face when I hear him say that. "They were highly uncomfortable to sleep in and but never mind that, tell me did you find something?"
He continued to look at me and then turned away with a slight smile on his face as a figure out what I was talking about. "You should not think of such events. These are of no concerns to a princess."
I gulped the anger down remembering that I was in a room alone with him and his friends could easily flip and hold a knife to my throat again.
Even though it did not help with the anger I knew I had to be polite as I was representing my upbringing and my country.
"I cannot let go of thinking of such events because I have arrived in your country without permission to search and investigate about these happenings."
"What?" The shock was evident on his face and it seemed like it was something comical for him. "You have come here to search about the creatures of the night? Those who are powerful enough to kill you before you can even draw your sword?" He scoffed. "I would advise you to stop the dreaming."
"I beg your pardon," the words flew out of my mouth and I made no efforts to stop them. "Your words are nothing but degrading to me. Whatever is it that makes you think I cannot be of any help in this matter?" Also, dreams were far from what I would have on that bed anyway.
He smiled at that. "Because for one you were not aware of the problem until I told you so. Holy heavens above, you are not even aware of the fact that they were people migrating into your country because of this."
"I was aware of that," I informed him. No matter what the circumstances in which I had seen people immigrating into mine I knew and that was what mattered. "But yes, I was not aware of the fact why and I would have found that out if you had not made your trip to Melenmore before that."
He scoffed, again!
My anger blazed more but I kept quiet. Often in the court, it happened that Estelle lost her cool then it was said by the man that she was overreacting and that was something I did not want to do here.
My calm was everything that could get me out of any situation and I did not want to leave that. My thinking was the only weapon I had because I did not know how to wield a sword.
He stepped closer to me and I glanced at him before immediately taking my eyes away. He was sweating and I could see beyond his shirt!
"Do you know I have been to various kingdoms known and I have seen every Princess and every daughter of a high official in court, met the most beautiful concubines yet there is a princess that has been hidden away from the world and has the most beautiful face and soothing voice I have ever heard,"
Well, thank you but get to the point. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
"And instead of taking advantage of them and marrying a prince who is next to be the king and here, you want to investigate a matter that can end up taking your very life?" He asked with a blank face which completely hindered me from knowing what he was thinking.
So I answered him truthfully. "Yes, your highness. That is what I want."
He continued to stare at me for a few moments which I thought was because he wanted to see if I was lying or not, then he stepped back and nodded to himself. "Alright then take the room in the far corner of my chambers, where no one ever goes. It should do you good for tonight, for Tomorrow, get ready." He smiled at me, "We will begin."
