The Princess's Dangerous Vampire Mate-Chapter 428: Sisterly behaviour- II
Opening my eyes, I breathed in a deep breath. With the candles lit in the room, I knew it was still dark outside. Waking up with the schedule of the vampires, I found myself being awake at night, more than I found myself waking up during the day.
It was something I could not bother to think about.
Catherine was sleeping next to me peacefully. I had checked before falling asleep, whether it had changed or not. She had dressed my sister in thicker clothes and covered her with a thick blanket. Diwal had been inside this room, watching my sister and left when I came in.
She was fine. I patted her hair lovingly. My little sister, someone I had always treated like she was my child so that she would never feel the absence of a mothers love. What had she been through..
I pulled away from her and got out of the bed slowly so I could not disturb her. There was a stool at the end of the bed that had a thick shawl kept on it. I smiled, that was Irene.
Wrapping it around myself, I moved towards the balcony to look at the beautiful night sky. Somehow, there was one comparison between Astria and Melenmore rather than any other country than my homeland and it was the starry sky. Melenmore always had a beautiful sky full of stars.
"What a beautiful sight it is." Tristan said from beside me, and I smiled. Of course, he had to be here the moment I woke up.
I glanced at him, keeping my smile. "You’re not even looking at the sky."
He smiled back. "I know what I find beautiful."
My smile widened but it reduced quickly. I knew we were alone now when I could talk to him more freely, then I could before.
"I.." I gulped, "thank you for coming for me, Tristan." A sharp pain of my skin being pulled at my waist made me gasp which was followed by a yelp. I placed my hand on my waist and stepped away from him. "Did you just pinch me?!"
He nodded without any shame. "You do not Thank me for coming after you. Do not say that again."
My lips thinned but his fingers flexed again, so I stayed silent. I looked up again and sighed loudly. "I was so afraid.."
"I felt it." He replied. "I hated it."
I nodded. "I felt you sometimes, I was not sure though. It was too cold and I.." I thought I was being delusional. I thought that the cold was finally getting to me. The little bursts of strength that I received were shocked off as my protective instincts for Catherine. It was him, through the bond.
"It was a hope that you would come but it also was a belief. I need you to come for me." I reached to him and pulled his teeth down before placing a huge kiss on it. "I want to talk about so much do you and.."
"And?"
"I wish to marry you and turn into a vampiress too." I confessed and bravely looked at him.
It was wonder at first before he took away all his expressions. "Why? I understand that you wish to be married to me and nothing could make me happy but I never expected you to be comfortable with the turning."
I shrugged one shoulder. " I will be honest with you. Being powerless made me realize how powerful Marilyn was. How she could have protected me and my sister and I wish to be the same. I do wish to spend my entire life in this world with you and one way to solve that is by being a vampire. The Strength that comes with it is an added benefit that I want."
Keeping my eyes on him, I gauged for any kind of reaction I may receive from him. When I did not receive anything, I slightly hesitated before asking him, "is that not enough for a reason?"
He smirked. "I don’t care for a bloody reason. If you wish to be mated with me that is more than enough for me even if it makes me a bit of a bastard for not caring for a reason."
I chuckled before lowering my head to his chest and laughing. There it was. His eagerness.
"But," his hands grabbed my waist, " I will warn you that it is going to take time. We can be married right away, when we get back, but turning you into a vampire will take a few years because he will have to learn everything that is important and you have to reach an age that is slightly near mine." 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
"I am twenty one." I remind him.
"I was twenty five when I turned. I would prefer it if you wait until twenty five." He cupped my face. "There is so much for you and I to discover and learn together. Let’s take one step at a time because we have no hurry and all the time in the world."
"Happily." I whispered, leaning into his touch.
"Good." He whispered before agitation clouded his face. "Your sister is outside and she wants a word. Do you?"
"She does? Why?"
"It must be about Catherine or it must be for me. Whatever it is, she did not discuss it. May I send her away for you?" Eagerness dripped from his voice, but I shook my head.
I was going to Astria with him, and now that Catherine was going to come with me, and Asstha was going to take care of an entire kingdom, I knew we were not going to have a lot of time to spend together. We may not even meet each other frequently, even exchanging letters would be difficult given the relationship between us was strained.
This might be the last chance I may talk to her.
"Send her in, please."
"Solomon." He said I heard the opening of the doors. It was only a few seconds later that my sister stood in front of me.
"Give us a moment?" I asked him, and he gave me a small nod before disappearing. Then, I turned to my sister.
