The Primordial Record-Chapter 2141: Kill Me As Hard As You Can
Every life in the Origin Realms had grown to have a sense of responsibility, and the Primordials knew that without the sacrifices of so many people, who ensured that their cultivation path was as smooth as possible, they would not be able to reach this point.
No time in history had there ever been a place like this, where it was highly possible for someone to see the path to the level of Primordial so clearly. The secrets and deceptions about the paths of power were wiped away, and those that were not given were only because there were enemies within their ranks.
Aetheron was extremely angry and in pain; he had seen everything that had happened since the final war began, including the betrayals that had arisen within their ranks. The shields would have gone down in the future, but that should have required millions of years of constant barrage, and now this trap that could lay every Primordial low was unexpected.
Eos’s Incarnations had left to deal with whatever had released that blade light that shattered the shields above, and they that should have held down the fort and protected those weaker had become the ones who needed protection.
A million years ago, he had sat down not far from here and listened to Eos speak about the tribulations that were to come. He had said there would come a time when everything would come crashing down, and it was at that moment that they needed to rise, because only in their hearts was there true strength.
All of the noble guardians had fallen to the last man; none of them had flinched as they threw themselves into the infinite maws of the abominations that were falling from the heavens above, and Aetheron laughed and cried at the same time before he burned his Origin Core.
He was on the third layer of the Origin of Spatial Harmony, and he expected that in another hundred million years, he would reach the fourth.
As a mortal, he was a scholar who ventured deep into the universe, disregarding dangers to look for knowledge and in his search for the truths of the past and the future, he came across one central personality that had guided the course of creation, and it was the Grand Creator himself, a being who took on many forms and yet still held a single core objective... protecting the weak and ensuring the continuation of life.
His search for the truth caused his cultivation to soar, and soon he became immortal, and on the verge of reaching the fourth-dimensional level, he came upon the most profound truths, which were the origin of reality and all that he knew.
Aetheron discovered the vastness of Existence, and he knew that the Origin Realms were born from the power of Space, in a profound sacrifice that gave life the chance to go on. Without this act, then there was a great chance that Existence would have ended.
It was from that moment that Aetheron decided to pursue the power of Space, and he was not the only one; however, he was among the most successful, quickly rising to the ranks of Primordial and becoming the Primordial of Spatial Harmony and linking with an Origin Realm.
All of these memories briefly flashed through his mind as the endless horde descended upon his realm. A brief glance at his Primordial brothers and sisters revealed that they would not be able to break out of their chains in enough time, and Aetheron decided that he would give them this time, even if it killed him.
With a roar that was heard all over his realm, Aetheron expanded his consciousness around the invaders, pushing his mind to a limit that it should never reach. His mind covered trillions... quadrillions, and even more.
"Leave my world!" he roared, and his Origin exploded from his core, and everywhere his mind touched, space was expanded into infinity.
The infinite horde streaming out of the Blackened Scar fell into an area of infinite space, and if they wanted to reach the Origin Realm, they would have to travel through forever to get to it... at least, if Aetheron was strong enough to hold all of this infinity and maintain it for long.
Aetheron closed his eyes, his body slowly collapsing into golden light, but instead of his power falling, it was growing as space continued to expand.
Inside the spatial cage he had created, uncountable trillions roared in anger, and tens of thousands of Primordial-level abominations tore through the constraint of time. Most of them, especially the Soulwraiths, were unbounded by the physical laws and could phase through dimensions as if it were nothing... however, Aetheron kept expanding space, making sure that their movements felt as if they were running through mud, and the road ahead was endlessly extending.
A single Primordial held back infinity, and he was not even at the peak of his potential, still at the third layer of Spatial Harmony.
Suddenly, Aetheron began to laugh. His skin was cracked, and golden light was shining through, appearing as if at any moment he would collapse, but he was not... he had just discovered that the barrier that was stopping him from reaching the fourth layer of his Origin was loosening and if he could hold on for long enough, he would not only give time for the Primordials to recover, he would also become much stronger.
Then he heard a sigh beside him, and he turned to see Myrra, the Primordial of Exiled Light. She had somehow freed herself of her chains and was standing with her hands folded behind her back as she watched the space in front of Aetheron being stretched to infinity under his Will.
"That child did wonders in the creation of Primordials like you," she whispered to herself, but Aetheron was able to hear her clearly. His eyes grew stern as he asked, "Who are you?"
Myrra turned towards him, a bit of sadness in her eyes, "If I could, I would not take this path, but his Will must come to pass."
Saying this, she brought out a blade that was blacker than night and began walking towards Aetheron, pointing it in front of her. If she continued moving, the blade would pierce through Aetheron’s head.
The Primordial of Spatial Harmony could have run at this moment, or detonated his core. Doing this would give him the chance to resurrect in the Mountain of Ascension, but if he were to die by this blade, even the core of his Origin inside of Eos would shatter.
However, if he did this, the defenses would collapse. Every second he fought for was important, and he would hold on as long as possible.
Aetheron could not fight back, not when he was holding infinity, and he simply smiled at Myrra, "Kill me as hard as you can, for I will take forever to die."
Myrra, the Primordial of Exiled Light, stopped, and then she smiled, but there was no humor in her eyes, only endless madness that sent chills down the spine.
"Ah, you are all like your creator, stubborn to the end. Let me see how card it is to saw off your head, and trust me, I shall take it slow."
