The Primordial Record-Chapter 1519: The Grand Game (final)
All of these were startling revelations concerning her mental state but Circe thought about was what important here, and it was that she was able to fully recognize the overall power distribution in Reality. There was a learning curve here that she had to rapidly grasp else she would be disappointing Rowan's faith in her.
She was still unable to peer deeply at this map, but the awareness of what it contained had merged with her soul, and Circe had a weird sense of fullness as if her soul had been filled to the extent that it was about to burst open, but this knowledge she had acquired was indispensable.
Reality was vast, but of the countless dimensions that filled it, only these seven Primordial Domains were worth the attention, and if everything went according to plan, Rowan wanted to make an eighth location that would equal these seven powerful domains.
This concept blew her mind, Rowan was not just going to be fighting against the Primordial Domains, he would also be establishing his own domain that would seek to compete with theirs.
If he heard this vision from anyone else, whether they were Old Ones or some Supreme genius from a bygone era she would choke with laughter, all those who knew of the Primordials understood how unfathomable their foundations were, how could one man, born yesterday with no known influence upon Reality chose to create a power that could stand against these seven great Titans? ƒreewebɳovel.com
But this was Rowan, and Circe would choose to follow him, even when the road ahead seemed impossible to tread, and the only reason she would do this was because Rowan had shown many times over to his people that he was deserving of their trust.
Rowan did not delay his explanation to Circe when he saw that she had fully healed and understood the main players in this grand game, and he began to point out the core of his plan to Circe,
"All of the Aura leaving these Primordial domains are the strengths they have cultivated all through this Supreme Era, these are their weapons, armies, and other hidden arrangements gathered over the years, and if I was to reveal my Origin Land, they would all come for me, nothing else I can do can ever draw their attention like this. You see, the Primordials need to consume all the dimensions under their domains for their strengths to be fully realized inside of Reality, this is the condition for them to awaken from their slumber, and with the scale of my Origin Land, it would place every other dimension inside of Reality to shame."
Circe eyes glowed as she frowned, "You are using yourself as bait, what prize could be so important?"
Rowan smiled and his eyes went back to the Primordial Domains,
"The Primordials are greedy for my powers, my domain would grant them benefits that no other dimension despite their numbers would be able to give them, and as they eye my power, I am also ravenous for theirs as well. On this map, I have battled against their forces for fifty million years and I have failed to vanquish them, but if they come to me, I will not only have an advantage in my home ground, but their Domains would also be left defenseless, and I will have a chance to strike at their heart."
Noticing Circe's eyes widening in shock as she began to comprehend what he wanted to do, he knew she had not fully understood his position, so he waved his hand over the map and the Aura from the Primordial Domains vanished leaving each domain to stand on its own without any of their Aura surrounding them,
"Circe, this Supreme Era is unique, and the opportunity here before me would not come again, the Primordials are forced to sleep because of the state of this Era for there is no more Primordial Essence inside of Reality to hold the weight of their existence, giving me a sliver of a chance to finish them off at their weakest moment, they are asleep and I can kill them, all of them!"
Circe shivered and she whispered, "Are you not drinking poison to cure your thirst? Opening up your Origin Land for invaders while invading the Primordial Domains in return, I fear there would be no victor in this fight Rowan."
Rowan looked away from Circe and turned towards Reality as he muttered, "Sometimes the battle is its own reward. Even if this battle drinks the last of my blood like the evening swallowing the sun—not in defeat, no, but a surrender to the fight that outlasts victory, if there is to be one purpose for which I fight, then let it be to embrace the dusk with open arms."
He turned towards Circe and smiled, "Do you understand my dreams?"
With tears filling her eyes she nodded and Rowan laughed,
"I have peered into Fate and Destiny, and this is the only path forward that gives me a chance to survive and even if it is insignificant, then I will take it. I have learned to find meaning in the battle and not the results."
Circe was quiet before she whispered, "What about your children, are you willing to let them follow you on this path?"
Rowan was silent for a long time as he watched time pass by and his gaze seemed to peer past space and time to see the moment his dimensional body was being betrayed by Seed and Elura, feeling the pain, rage, and helplessness that filled all corners of his mind and knowing that if he could be brought down like this, then his children would have no way to fight against these great tyrant,
"I do this for them," Rowan replied, "They do not have to love me or understand why I throw them into battle, one where there is no assurance of victory. If there was any other way I would have taken it, if I have seen any other person that could carry this task with more grace and wisdom, then I will pass this burden to them and kneel at their feet, but I stand alone Circe. I am the last hope for all that lives."
At this moment his dimensional flesh seized the power of Memory and Rowan sighed,
"The grand game is here."
