Chapter 109: Blood With Vengeance! I

The Letter of Persevere of the Primordial Tongue was fucking great.

This was the only thing Damian could say because... sheesh!

He had uttered it twice while allowing others to cultivate how they normally did, and what happened was even more ridiculous than he expected. By utilizing his Second Doctrine, he wasn’t just cultivating himself but also his surrounding environment. This included the lifeforms near him.

So the cycled Mana from Serala, Masamuk, Inkanyamba, and Uncle Adam also benefited him. Seas of power cycled through them before proceeding to cycle through him, absolutely drenching his body and organs.

His body had transformed.

Skin shone with a crystalline blue allure glowing from within rather than reflecting light. Flesh had become denser and more refined, packed with Mana saturating every fiber. Bones hummed with power making them feel carved from sacred stone. Blood burned with blue fire now a permanent part of its composition. Marrow churned with production beyond anything natural. And organs pulsed in harmony, each one singing with Mana connecting them into a unified system.

This was how saturated with power he had become.

Another thing caught his attention.

His pupils had expanded their vision tremendously. Mana perception sharpened to a degree making his previous abilities seem like fumbling in the dark. He could see flows of energy, concentrations of power, the very fabric of cultivation surrounding everyone present.

And he could inherently feel his eyes now looked like wings.

The marker for Serala was complete. The moment he realized this, he controlled his Mana to paint over his eyes, suppressing the visible manifestation before anyone could notice. When he looked at Serala, the Holy Daughter looked back with those wing-shaped pupils of her own.

She shouldn’t have seen his winged eyes.

Good.

Hiding this felt odd. He couldn’t really explain it. Hey, maybe I copied your Land and Sky Physique. Thanks? Maybe sorry?

Nobody was hurt in this process. He had even helped their elevation. Heavy waves of Mana surrounded Serala now, power speaking of advancement beyond what she had possessed before.

A slight withholding of the truth.

It didn’t make him feel too good even though he wasn’t doing anything wrong, really. But it also made him question why he even needed to hide it. He may as well just tell them honestly soon.

Apart from this, he looked over to Uncle Adam.

The old soldier remained in his meditative position, but his entire presence had changed. With the influx of Mana from others far more powerful than him, his cultivation had surged forward dramatically. His bones seemed fully saturated now, the Second Circle of Bone Tempering reaching its completion.

He would likely step into the next Circle soon. Blood Ignition. The Third Circle.

It wouldn’t put him anywhere near the level necessary to face an Imperator, but it was progress. Real progress after eight years of stagnation and hiding.

As for the Beast Lords...

Damian had been waiting for whatever potential Land and Sky Physique he might gain from Masamuk and Inkanyamba. But oddly enough, he didn’t get anything from them.

Nothing relating to the same markings like he had from Serala and Tiaret. No golden inscriptions forming on hidden parts of his body. No sense of their unique powers replicating into his flesh.

Though he could feel the faint connection with them now. They had his flames and blood inside of them. That link existed, just as it did with Serala and the Noble Beast he’d healed on Mount Vorrath.

Perhaps othet Primal Beasts worked differently when it came to Land and Sky Physiques? Or was it something to do with him?

He focused on Masamuk.

Out of everyone here, the Slime of Chaos was the most terrifying. Concentrations and density of Mana within that obsidian body felt like a small dense sea compressed into a form barely larger than a man’s torso. Those stellar blue points weren’t merely decorative. They were compressed power, each one representing cultivation accumulated across years.

This ritual had lit them up.

Stellar points blazed brighter now, the obsidian body pulsing with energy grown even larger. The sea within Masamuk had expanded, becoming deeper, more potent, more dangerous.

It was to the extent that...

"What the hell?"

Masamuk voiced out, opening his sharp crimson gaze toward Damian in astonishment.

This break caused even the Inkanyamba and Serala to come out of their cultivation. Damian allowed the flames to die down without uttering Persevere another time, blue fire settling into embers before fading entirely.

Masamuk looked at him with suspicion blazing in those crimson eyes.

"You... are you actually an Ancestral Spirit taking on different forms?"

...!

His obsidian body pulsed with bewilderment.

"Is that why you call yourself a Tokoloshe? Because that... that is madness!"

...!

Yes.

Madness!

Because when they looked around, they could feel the heaviness everyone now radiated. Serala’s presence had become overwhelming in a way it hadn’t been before. The Beast Lords themselves seemed to have expanded their already massive reserves.

They all seemed to have many questions.

But Damian had already answered one of the biggest ones they had.

"This was the weapon I had in mind when wanting to go against that Imperator."

His voice was calm.

"This is what you can consider to be my Land and Sky Physique. I can use these flames to aid in cultivation and to heal heavy injuries."

He focused on Masamuk, eyes serious.

"So even if that Imperator cuts you up or cleaves you in half, don’t worry."

A pause.

"I...will bring you back."

...!

Silence settled in the surroundings.

Others looked toward him with incredulity. The Inkanyamba’s storm-filled eyes had widened. Uncle Adam’s weathered face held an expression caught between pride and disbelief. Serala’s wing-shaped pupils studied him as if seeing him again for the first time.

Masamuk shook his body with marvel, then sighed.

"Say less! I am on board for killing an Imperator who targeted Sacred Mountains under me and killed multiple Primal Beasts!" 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

Heavy words were uttered by a terrifying slime whose small body truly could not encompass its terror!
