The Prime Minister Seduced Me to have Babies!-Chapter 760: Storytelling
Yun Jiao whispered to the maid, "Sister, I’ll go see my family and come back, okay?"
The maid nodded slightly, and Yun Jiao walked towards the carriage.
Gu Yuheng soon saw his daughter. He had thought that since his daughter was taken by the Second Prince’s men, she must have been defiled.
Last night, he thought this to himself. However, it was dark then, and he didn’t dare to look at his daughter closely. Seeing Yun Jiao coming over carefree today made him doubt his thoughts.
His daughter was married, and she wasn’t a woman without any shame. She certainly wouldn’t act as if nothing had happened after being humiliated by the Second Prince.
Gu Yuheng waited for her to come over and couldn’t help but ask quietly, "What did the Second Prince want with you? Was it for a medical consultation?"
Yun Jiao shook her head, "No, I played cards with him."
Lady Wu was dumbfounded, "Playing cards?"
Yun Jiao nodded, looked back to see no one paying attention to her, then hurriedly took out all the things from her clothes and handed them over to them, "Eat first, I made a bet with them, we should be able to get a cast-iron pot and a bag of rice tonight."
Gu Yuheng assumed she had somehow gotten these foods from the Second Prince. Lady Wu’s mind, which always didn’t like pondering, didn’t even question where these things came from.
Yun Jiao also took out two small porcelain bottles for Lady Wu, "Inside are pills for bruises, you and the eldest girl take one each morning and evening."
Lady Wu nodded and put the pills away. Then she smiled bitterly, "We’ve become a burden to you. Without you, we wouldn’t even have a bite to eat."
Yun Jiao was about to speak when the maid called out from afar, "Doctor Gu—"
Yun Jiao had no choice but to get up, "Alright, I’m going, make sure to stay near the carriage tonight so I can find you."
Returning to Wanyan Zhang’s carriage, Yun Jiao noticed Wulinda Hai was already gone, seemingly not intending to continue playing cards, so she paid her respects to Wanyan Zhang and planned to leave, but Wanyan Zhang lazily said, "Didn’t you say you have many new and interesting things in your head? Got anything fun?"
Yun Jiao’s eyes slightly shifted, "How about I tell a story to the Second Prince."
Wanyan Zhang lay lazily on the couch, "Go ahead."
Yun Jiao hesitated for a moment between "A Thousand and One Nights" and "Journey to the West," and decided to start with "Journey to the West." 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
She had watched the TV series and read the original novel of "Journey to the West." She had a good memory, so although she couldn’t recall every word, the general plot was no problem.
The story began in the East Victory Divine Continent, where overseas there was a land called the Kingdom of Aolai...
Initially, Wanyan Zhang was not interested, but as he listened more, he became more engrossed, sat up, rested his chin on the table, and just watched Yun Jiao’s mouth open and close.
Yun Jiao thought she lacked a gavel and a fan to be all set.
She spoke for one or two hours, until the group stopped again.
For the sake of the child in her belly, Yun Jiao shamelessly managed to get another dinner before leaving Wanyan Zhang’s tent.
Getting off the cart, she saw a soldier carrying a cast-iron pot and holding a bag of rice standing outside waiting.
Yun Jiao waved, and the soldier followed her.
She didn’t walk far before finding the carriage parked not far from the king’s tent, where the soldier put down the pot and rice and left.
Everyone’s eyes shone with excitement at the sight of the bag of rice.
Uncle and Gu Yuheng, the only two remaining men, carried the iron pot to fetch water.
