The Prime Minister Seduced Me to have Babies!-Chapter 488: A Complete and Utter Defeat
After closing the door, Yun Jiao crossed through the courtyard but didn’t see Jiang Youzhi and his father; she guessed they were talking inside, so she headed straight to the backyard.
Just as she entered, she bumped into Lady Wu walking out. These days, Lady Wu was quite bored, either learning to make clothes for Jiang Youzhi or learning to cook from Guihua.
Her fingers were pierced with countless holes, and the day before, while frying fish, oil splashed on her face, but she didn’t mind at all.
Lady Wu smiled at Yun Jiao, "Is the front door closed?"
"Didn’t you say the stir-fried pork with chili I made two days ago was quite tasty? I’m going to cook another plate later."
Yun Jiao hurriedly said, "Madam, um, Sanlang’s biological father has come."
"He’s in the front yard."
Lady Wu’s expression changed, "Why is he here? To fight with me over my son?"
Yun Jiao sensed something was off; could it be that the two had divorced?
Or rather, had they separated benevolently?
Lady Wu’s face turned stern as she strode outward, and Yun Jiao quickly pulled her back, "Madam, they have just reunited, surely they have some things to discuss."
"Madam, why not wait a bit before going?"
She didn’t want to get involved, but seeing Lady Wu like this meant she was heading for a quarrel with the Duke of England, which would be awkward for Sanlang caught in between.
She must consider her boyfriend’s feelings.
Lady Wu halted her steps, suddenly grasping Yun Jiao’s hand, "You’re right; I shouldn’t go now."
She was still contemplating letting Jiang Youzhi inherit the Duke of England Mansion, so she should allow the father and son to connect emotionally.
Besides, if she went, her son might not necessarily side with her; she had little influence over him.
Feeling frustrated with her impulsiveness, Lady Wu turned back inside, pondering how best to deal with Jiang Zhongxing.
Mrs. Chen came out of the house at this moment, planning to visit the front kitchen. Seeing her, Lady Wu’s eyes lit up, "Sister Chen, I have something to discuss with you."
With that, she pulled Mrs. Chen into her room.
She pressed Mrs. Chen down to sit and, in a rapid-fire manner, began recounting everything from her arrival in the capital to overthrow the Duke of England until Jiang Youzhi was born, and when she moved out of the Duke of England Mansion.
Mrs. Chen listened as if hearing heavenly stories.
Only now did she realize how Sanlang had been lost!
Such high-status families were indeed terrifying.
Lady Wu clutched Mrs. Chen’s hand, "Sister Chen, please advise me on what to do from now on."
"Sanlang’s father has come, certainly to recognize him and take him back, which means he will live in the Duke Mansion."
"But I don’t want him to live there; I want him to stay with me."
Mrs. Chen looked at Lady Wu in surprise, "According to you, Sanlang is the legitimate eldest son, meaning the Duke Mansion is supposed to be inherited by him in the future."
"How could he not return?"
Lady Wu replied awkwardly, "The Duke of England Mansion naturally belongs to my son, but—"
Mrs. Chen smacked her hand firmly, "I say, sister, you made mistakes before; don’t keep making them now."
Lady Wu nodded, "I know I was wrong."
Mrs. Chen shook her head, "You don’t know!"
"Sister, if I may say, you’re too befuddled."
"Previously, you made trouble with your husband for fear that a little vixen would steal him away."
"What was the outcome? You only pouted in anger without using strategies to win your husband back."
"In the end, you lost both your son and husband to the vixen. Had Sanlang not found you, wouldn’t the entire estate have been handed over to the vixen’s son?"
"You’ve lost so thoroughly!"
