The Prime Minister Seduced Me to have Babies!-Chapter 296: Someone Has Died
Shen Qing remembered what Yun Jiao had said about opening the clinic at exactly 7 a.m.
He arrived at the entrance of Renxin Hall almost a quarter of an hour early.
There were already about ten patients lined up outside the door.
Zhang Shun and Liu Zhu were laying down the boards, and Shen Qing quickly went up to help.
The two had seen Shen Qing at dinner the night before and knew he was the boss’s cousin, so they said with a smile, "You go ahead and rest, we got this."
But Shen Qing didn’t listen; he carried the boards and placed them in the corner.
He wasn’t stupid. Noticing that there were numbers on the boards, he arranged them according to the numerical order.
When Yun Jiao came out, she saw Shen Qing mopping the floor.
She nodded slightly, thinking this kid is diligent and hardworking, just what she needed; she didn’t want to hire a slacker.
Seeing Shen Qing finish mopping the floor, Yun Jiao said, "There’s still porridge, cakes, and eggs in the kitchen at the back. Go and eat."
Shen Qing had already drunk a bowl of watery gruel at home.
But hearing there were eggs, he licked his lips and headed back.
Teenage boys can eat a lot; he quickly finished a bowl of porridge, an egg, and a piece of pancake.
Guihua asked him, "Are you full? If not, I’ll make you a few more pancakes."
Shen Qing shook his head repeatedly, "I’m full, I’m full."
Guihua laughed, "In our house, we eat until we’re full. Just eat as much as you want, especially you kids who are still growing. If you don’t eat enough, you won’t grow tall."
Shen Qing gave a slight bow to her, "Thank you, sister-in-law."
Then he went back to the front.
Yun Jiao had already started seeing patients.
Zhang Shun and Liu Zhu were dispensing medicine.
Ah Tie was helping to spread paper and divide the medicine.
Shen Qing, not knowing what he could do, stood there feeling anxious.
Yun Jiao waved him over, and Shen Qing quickly came over.
"Can you read?" she asked.
Shen Qing replied, "I studied for a few years, so I recognize some characters."
Yun Jiao was pleasantly surprised, "Then sit here next to me and keep records."
"Write down the patient’s name, address, onset time, initial symptoms, and current symptoms. Later, when there’s time, copy my prescriptions to the back."
"If a patient returns for a follow-up, continue recording."
"This is called a pulse record."
Shen Qing felt a bit embarrassed, "My writing isn’t very good."
Yun Jiao shook her head, "That’s fine, the important thing is to write neatly so it can be read."
"Oh, and remember to clearly mark each day’s date."
The patient sitting next to them gave Yun Jiao a thumbs-up, "Doctor Gu, you take everything so seriously, no wonder you’re a renowned physician."
Yun Jiao smiled and continued treating patients.
By mid-morning, when the shop was the busiest and had the most people, suddenly there was a loud commotion approaching from outside.
If you listened carefully, you could hear crying mixed in.
The people in line started to stir, craning their necks to look outside.
The person at the door shouted, "Someone’s dead!"
Then they saw two people carrying a door panel into the shop, with an older woman lying on it, her graying hair visible.
A crowd of people followed, and several women were crying next to her.
Yun Jiao stood up, and glanced at Lin Shuo and Ah Hu.
Lin Shuo also looked at her and then walked toward the door.
Lin Shuo and Ah Hu stopped the people carrying the door panel, "Are you here to see a doctor?"
The two carrying the door panel put it down, and one of them spat fiercely, "Pfft, see a doctor?"
"Who would dare see a doctor here?! My mother took the prescription from Doctor Gu, and within a day, she was dead!"
