Apart from his name, she couldn't find his background, his birthplace, or even his photo. She could only sketch Lin Fang's image from her memory to search for him.

However, on a continent this vast, with a bounty quietly hovering over her own head, searching blindly had been suicide. She had been forced to abandon the hunt.

And now…

Myra's lips parted, and a soft laugh escaped her.

Then another.

"Hah…" she murmured. "Hahaha…"

The laughter grew clearer, lighter, filled with a sharp edge of delight. She lifted her head slightly, eyes gleaming.

"Heaven really does have a sense of humor," she said.

Jiang Fei stared at her, breathing heavily, barely listening. "What?"

Myra stepped closer again.

"Do you know how long I searched for him?" she said, almost conversationally. "A whole month. I questioned everyone who even brushed past his shadow. I even tried using my inside man in the Association."

She shook her head, clicking her tongue. "Locked files. Sealed authority. Not even his origin city could be traced. It was as if he crawled out of thin air."

Her smile widened.

"And now," she said softly, "I save someone out of courtesy and the heavens hand me Lin Fang's enemy on a silver platter."

She laughed again, lower this time.

Jiang Fei finally focused on her words. "Saved me?" he demanded hoarsely. "What are you talking about?"

Myra exhaled and raised both hands slowly, signaling calm.

"Easy," she said. "A lot happened while you were gone."

"Gone?" Jiang Fei frowned, the rage dimming just a little. "What do you mean I was gone?"

She studied him for a second before answering.

"You were in a coma," Myra said.

The word hit harder than any blow.

"Coma?" Jiang Fei repeated, stunned. The sharpness around his body softened as his mana instinctively pulled inward. "How long?"

Myra met his gaze. "A little over three and a half months."

The room seemed to tilt.

"Three and a half…" Jiang Fei muttered. His knees felt weak, and he sat back down heavily on the bed. "That long?"

He ran a hand through his hair, memories crashing together in his head. No wonder everything felt different. No wonder his body felt unfamiliar, heavier, stronger.

"So much time," he whispered.

Jiang Fei scanned the room again, slower this time. The initial storm inside him had calmed just enough for his senses to catch up. The walls were plain, the furniture functional. No gilded trims. No family crests. No armed guards standing at attention.

"This place…" he said hoarsely. "It doesn't look like a luxury mansion. And it's definitely not my grandfather's residence."

He turned his gaze back to the woman standing calmly before him.

"So tell me," Jiang Fei said, his voice low and wary, "who are you?"

Myra didn't answer immediately. Instead, she gestured toward the bed with an open palm. "Sit down first," she said evenly. "And listen. You won't like everything you hear, but you need to hear it."

Jiang Fei hesitated for half a second, then sat back down, his posture stiff and guarded. His fists remained clenched on his thighs.

Only then did Myra begin.

"After the massacre at the Xiao Estate," she said, her tone turning businesslike, "the police sealed the case within forty-eight hours. Official conclusion: an operation carried out by a dark guild. No suspects. No survivors worth questioning."

Jiang Fei's jaw tightened.

"You were the exception," she continued. "Barely alive. Severe internal injuries. Your mana core shattered and is rebuilding itself in an unstable way. You slipped into a coma almost immediately after being admitted."

She paused briefly, watching his reaction, then went on.

"Your grandfather, Jiang Xiaofeng," Myra said, "the Chairman everyone pretends not to fear, quietly issued a mission through underground channels. The task was simple: keep Jiang Fei alive, hidden, and monitored."

Her lips curled faintly. "The reward was generous. Over a million credits. Enough to attract people like me."

Jiang Fei's eyes darkened. "So you took it."

"Yes," Myra replied frankly. "And I met your grandfather personally."

She crossed her arms loosely. "He was very clear. Your return would not be welcomed. Too many people would be uncomfortable with your survival. Your claims. Your memories. Your existence."

Jiang Fei's fingers dug into the fabric of his pants.

"He told me to take you away," Myra continued, "and make sure you stayed alive but out of sight. So you were transferred to a university hospital under a false identity. Best doctors. Best equipment. Discreet care."

She tilted her head slightly. "Your grandfather paid every bill himself. But even he didn't expect you to wake up this soon."

Silence stretched between them.

Jiang Fei's chest rose and fell slowly as he absorbed her words. When he finally spoke, his voice was tight.

"So even my own relatives…" he murmured. "Was waiting for me to stay dead."

Myra didn't deny it.

After a moment, she changed direction.

"There's something else," she said. "I don't know yet if our enemies are truly the same person… but the description lines up too well to ignore."

Jiang Fei lifted his head.

"I have an enemy named Lin Fang," Myra said. "Tall. Handsome. Calm on the surface. Dangerous underneath. And somehow connected to Feng Xiu."

Jiang Fei let out a sharp breath. "That matches Lin Fang who I know."

He frowned, thinking. "But I don't see his connection to Feng Xiu beyond one thing. Lin Fang is an innate soul. He attended the hunter examination Feng Xiu conducted and passed it."

"Innate soul?" Myra repeated.

Her eyes lit up, not with shock, but with confirmation.

"The one I've been searching for is also an innate soul," she said softly. "So it really is the same person."

She stepped closer, her voice dropping. "Tell me. Where does your Lin Fang live?"

Jiang Fei didn't hesitate this time.

"Huaxi City," he said firmly. "At least, he did three months ago. He was running a business there. Fang Fang Pet Store."

A bitter smile twisted his lips. "Even back then, it was booming. If nothing drastic happened, that store will still be there."

Myra's smile widened slowly, predatory and satisfied.

"Huaxi City…" she repeated.

She turned away, already piecing together plans in her mind.

"So the ghost finally has an address," she murmured.
