The Prehistoric System in the world of Fantasy-Chapter 181: The Instant Dungeon (Part-2)
If anything, more and more people began to worry as the time was ticking down to the last twenty minutes. However, at the very least, there was less noise and crying in the atrium. Whoever had separated earlier was reunited with their companions, with the support of the staff members of the mall.
Lin Fang, on the other hand, is busy on his phone, playing an offline chess game against the Bot without a worry on his face. The probability factor was displayed on the side, the engine analyzing the bot's moves and Lin Fang's, giving a live score of 46.4: 53.6, i.e., Lin Fang was slightly losing.
He seemed so engrossed in the game that he didn't notice someone sitting beside him and observing his game for a while, too. As his eyes were darting left and right, all over the board on the screen to find the move, a voice obstructed his concentration. "Knight to F7."
"Eh?" Lin Fang cast a sidelong glance to the right and saw a woman looking at his phone and then at him. "Hi." She smiled.
She seemed like a Goryeo, and yet at the same time, she didn't seem like one. "Who…"
"Who are you?" Lin Fang couldn't help but ask her, who looked at him with this smile on her face, as if she knew him. The fact that she knows him is a grave matter. Lin Fang's heart did spike a bit, but he kept his composure on the outside.
"Don't mind me. Your time is ticking." The woman replied, pointing at the timer on the screen. Lin Fang nodded, going back to the phone. He made the same move as she suggested earlier.
As the Bot responded with a check, forking both the King and the knight, the woman instantly spoke to him again. "Now, don't move Bishop, and instead move away the King and sacrifice the Knight."
Lin Fang glanced at her again, feeling slightly annoyed by her interruption, but then again, he already thought of that move anyway. He followed the move and sacrificed the knight.
Once the Queen of that D-column, Lin Fang took over the control in a few more moves, and the Bot resigned the game when the probability of its winning chances dipped below 5%.
Once the game was over, Lin Fang finally turned to face her. She smiled, tilting her head slightly. "You are welcome."
Lin Fang glanced at the digital board overhead. There are still more than ten minutes left. He looked back at her, offering a handshake. "Lin Fang."
She didn't take his hand. Instead, she smiled again, introducing herself. "Noa."
Lin Fang pulled his hand back and asked. "Do you know me?"
Noa blinked in surprise. "Of course, not. I just felt like we met before."
Lin Fang shrugged indifferently, "I wasn't from this place, Ms. Noa. I highly doubt that we met before."
Noa blinked, but then nodded. "Yeah, I can guess that you aren't a citizen of this country. If I may boldly assume, you are from Northern Yan who might have participated in the recent trials."
Lin Fang frowned deeply. "How do you know that?"
Noa chuckled, shaking her head. "I just have good observation skills." She pointed at his smartphone. "That's the Aota brand, which you cannot see sold anywhere outside Northern Yan."
"Hmm… I'm intrigued." Lin Fang said, facing her. Intending to slightly interrogate her, to check whether she is just genuis or some spy, he spoke. "Ok, let's put your observation skills to the test, then. What else can you tell about me?"
Noa hesitated, but then her gaze sharpened as she observed him again. Her eyes flicked to his exposed wrist due to the fact that he had rolled his sleeves earlier. "First of all, you are wearing expensive brands from top to bottom, but the watch was an analog watch with an almost worn-out strap. Therefore, it has a high sentimental value to you. Someone very important must have given you that watch, and judging by how you still treasure it, you were missing that person, and that means it's been years since you last met that person, or the person might have passed away. The watch's style is from like twenty years ago, and it seemed like a man's watch. So, it should be a relative, Dad, uncle, or Grandpa, maybe?"
Lin Fang raised an eyebrow, impressed by her analysis. He didn't say yes or no. "Go on."
Noa continued by pointing at the pup. "That wolf pup has a beast suppression collar. I can recognize that from far away. There would be no use in suppressing a monster that is weaker than an elite, as no one would feel worried. So, I think it is atleast a Commander Tier monster. If you are from Northern Yan and if you are merely a tourist for a couple of days, you wouldn't take it with you. You would hand it over to some Pet boarding houses. Yet, you bring it with you. So, either you hold it dear too much, or it has a special identity. And then, recently, Trials are conducted at the Yanhui range, and almost every hunter who participated there comes to this city. Last but not least, your mana reserves are higher than even mine, likely making you a high-ranking hunter. So, it would only make sense if you are here for the trials."
And then she added, "Last but not least, you have perfume on your dress, that scent… It's definitely Whisper Rain. It's a woman's perfume. It wasn't heavy but not light either. It was on your shirt but not your body. So, you didn't have sex with her, atleast recently, but mostly hugged her. Surprisingly, the same scent was coming from the pup in your arms. That means whoever the woman you were with used to pet your monster companion. You seemed too young to be married. So, Girlfriend... Perhaps?"
Alpha chuckled in his head and commented, "This girl is smart."
Lin Fang regarded her for a moment and then nodded in approval. "You are good."
"So, how many things have I got right?" Noa asked curiously with a smug expression on her face.
Lin Fang replied with a shrug. "Almost all of them."
"Almost? So, where did I go wrong?" Noa enquired, raising her eyebrow.
Lin Fang replied, pointing at the wolf pup. "I didn't bring Xuan Hei to the trials."
"Oh?"
"But seriously, Ms. Noa, you really find it all from these clues?" Lin Fang couldn't help but ask her.
Noa blinked once, "Yes, of course."
Lin Fang stared at her for a couple of seconds, glanced to his other side, and then leaned to her ear. "Then, tell me. Miss Noa, what can you tell about them?"
As he pointed at the family of three beside him, Noa glanced at them. Her eyes narrowed and she stayed in that position for a few seconds before she said, "The girl beside that man's left has the same almond-shaped eyes as him; both of them had matching attire, and even the phone straps. But she looks like an adolescent, perhaps 18 or 19. It is unlikely they are a couple. And hes look too young to be her father. Hmm, perhaps, brother?"
Noa continued by pointing at his left hand. "The difference in color on his ring finger clearly showed that he had been married for a while and recently removed it. The absence of a ring either states that he doesn't like to wear it often or that he was divorced."
"You are kidding..." Lin Fang is completely frozen. He didn't know anything about those strangers, but even from a distance, this woman could just profile them by observing subtle details? if she had spoken this from the start, he thought she was speaking nonsense, but whatever she said to him was true.
"Just who are you?" As he asked her again in surprise, Noa smiled, staring at him, "Told you before. My name is Noa."
Before Lin fang react, just then, Tianzhu suddenly snapped his head toward them and said, "Lady, you were wrong about us..."
"Eh?" As Noa's eyes widened and Lin Fang glanced at him, the latter pointed his finger to the side. "First of all, she's not my sister. She's my niece."
"Eh?" "Huh?"
"And secondly, I'm not as young as you think. I'm at least 15 years older than you."
pointing his finger to the side."
