The Power Of Wrath-Chapter 28: Invincible But Die
Chapter 28 - Invincible But Die
Between being used to ram through a couple of trees and fighting two troublesome idiots, when Rio jogged out of the burning forest his main purpose for returning was the two-headed direhog which surprisingly hadn't followed after him.
Rio expected Ark to be either dead or taken away and an army to be crawling the top of the hill, but when he reached, he found that there were no new faces but there were familiar ones.

Other than the charred bodies that his fire had apparently spread and created, five familiar faces were still on the hill.
There was a bald man who had red burns on his body, the grand priestess, the two-headed direhog and most shockingly Ark still suited up in his shiny silver armour.
Looking at the two-headed direhog, Rio could only grimace at the realization that it had been caught by the grand priestess who had placed a large cage glowing with red energy on them.
How the beast could have been caught in such a manner given its abilities and how little time had passed Rio could not fathom.
Rio was debating how best to approach the mysterious prostitute when the bald man after speaking some gibberish to his Ark Turned and ran towards him.
"This dumbass, he can't even walk properly"
True to Rio's words the firestorm the bald man had joined his colleagues to invade had badly burnt him, ridding him of his hair, a good portion of his clothes and inflicting severe burns around his body particularly his left leg.
Conserving his energy Rio didn't spit out flames when the man approached him, he waited for him to get close before easily stepping out of the way of his downward swing and then delivering a kick to his head.
The hit had the man stumbling to the side and before he could regain his balance, Rio appeared by his side, seized his blade from his hand and then ran it through his head.
Pulling the blade out of the man's head as he fell to the ground, Rio began walking towards the grand priestess who was without mount or any protection, but before he could get close to the woman, he heard gibberish from the silver armour as it began rising to its feet.
"How can he still move" Rio thought a pit forming in his stomach.
Without hesitation, Rio pushed off his feet and appeared beside Ark who had only just stood up.
He immediately threw out a kick but before it could hit, Ark's figure disappeared, and his leg swiped through the empty air.
Rio's eyes narrowed as he realized the worst had happened. He moved to turn and look for his opponent but before it could even do a 180, Rio's sense flared and he kicked off the ground.
Bam!
Where Rio had previously stood shattered as a silver boot fell on the position.
Not even looking at the scene behind him Rio ran straight for the grand priestess, unleashing a wave of fire when he was close to her and the two-headed direhog.
Rio planned to get the grand priestess to retreat and allow him to free the beast from its cage, but when the fire cleared, he saw a silver armour standing in his path, and his approaching form could do nothing to avoid the punch which it threw forward.
Blood flew out of Rio's mouth as Ark's hit destroyed his momentum and sent him flying in the opposite direction, his body smashing into the ground with reckless abandon.
Rolling and digging through the earth, with a powerful groan, Rio pushed himself into the air, fire enveloping his body, but before he could land on his feet, a foot appeared before his face and sent him shooting through the ground once more.
Releasing a defiant scream, Rio dug his fingers into the ground, gripping the soil to cancel out his momentum but just as his body began slowing down there was a blur in front of him and his face was kicked up, sending his body rising on it's feet, but before his feet could leave the ground, a fist was released on him.
Unlike Ark who had armour to help him defend and buffer Rio's hits, Rio had nothing, and when Ark's punch landed on him this time, along with a spray of blood coming out of the wound on his chest which was yet to heal, he let out a scream as he was once more sent shooting through the air.
"The worst had happened, Ark had gotten the time to tune his armour toward just speed and now Rio was play a thing to him."
Blurring through the air, unable to be followed by Rio's eyes or senses, Ark rained down brutal hits on Rio and then when he had comfortably turned him into a ragdoll, he calmly walked towards his form that was lying on the ground a pool of blood beneath him.
"You actually dared to think you could defeat me" Ark spoke disgust dripping from his tone as he reached down and picked up Rio by what remained of his shirt.
Bam!
Ark released a punch making Rio cough up blood
"I Ark Pulmas, the hand of the gods"
Watching the scene from a distance, the grand priestess shook her head as she had a thought.
"Could this be why I cannot divine his future?"
"Grrrr, Grrrr"
From within its cage, the two-headed direhog, growled and scraped at the cage, their turmoil at Rio's plight obvious and it made the grand priestess raise her eyes in surprise.
"Don't tell me they actually want him as their master."
Bam!!
"Look at me when I'm talking to you dog."
Saying this, Ark had the helmet on his head disappear a smirk forming on his face when he saw Rio's half-lidded eyes widen even if just the slightest at his appearance.
Rather than the burnt disfigured face Rio expected Ark to have considering he had baptized him in his flames earlier, Ark's face was pristine and healthy and the proud king couldn't help but boast about it.
"My armour doesn't just give me speed, strength and defence, it also heals me."
Though Rio couldn't understand what Ark was saying, he could understand the condescending smirk that played on the man's face, its familiarity with a certain executive jarring and he spat on the king's face.
"You are not qualified to kill me."
Though Just like Rio, Ark couldn't understand him, the unwavering defiance in his eyes was clear and before Ark could let out a word or make a move Rio spoke first.
"Die!"
