The Omega Knight's Secret Baby Daddy is A PRINCE?!-Chapter 105: Ezra, The Omega.
Kaelis still walked casually.
He moved through the woods, following the scent of cinnamon sugar. He watched as the footsteps from Ezra’s boots became faint, uneven... until they stopped completely, as if he had fallen onto the dry ground.
’He must barely be able to stand now.’ Kaelis exhaled, amusement draining away and replaced by a more pressing concern.
At first, he had found the situation entertaining.
The moment he saw Ezra Belloren, with his fierce gaze and smaller frame, he had already made a guess.
Ezra was going to be an Omega.
Not a Beta, and definitely not an Alpha.
But it had certainly been interesting at the beginning.
A boy like that being chosen as a squire by Aamon, of all people. And then later, Ezra presented as an Alpha, one who just so happened to be... smaller than most.
Kaelis had accepted it.
But even so,
Ezra fit being an Omega far more than an Alpha.
Perhaps a very strong Omega.
’Does Helios know?’ Kaelis thought, then let out a soft chuckle. ’Of course he does. If not, how would he have hidden it all this time?’
The real question was this:
Who else knew?
Did Aamon know?
Did the knights know?
That, Kaelis wanted to find out.
But for now, he pushed away those worries.
He needed to find Ezra first. Make sure he was safe, at the very least.
Kaelis might have been annoyed, more than once, at how Ezra treated him with clear disdain despite all his attempts to befriend him, and that frustration lingered even now.
And yet Ezra always gave Helios credit for things Kaelis himself had done.
"Hah..." Kaelis let out a quiet breath as he walked deeper into the woods. "I wonder if his heat was triggered by the cultists’ pheromones."
A pause.
’Of course it was.’
Yet again, he answered his own question.
Ezra didn’t seem like the type to go into heat often. And if Helios had been helping him, then he was most likely giving him high-grade suppressants.
As Kaelis continued following the scent, it grew stronger.
Thicker.
Sweeter.
He was close.
"Ah—"
A soft sound reached him from ahead, making him stop.
It came from between two large trees. The scent of cinnamon sugar was strongest there, mixed faintly with something floral. There must have been a flower bed nearby.
"Time to figure out how to handle this," Kaelis muttered under his breath as he stepped closer.
And then,
He saw him.
Ezra was on the ground, his face flushed bright red, his breathing heavy. His hands were pressed against his pants as he struggled to steady himself.
"Well, well... look who’s already a mess this early in the afternoon," Kaelis said.
It sounded like a joke, but there was no humor in his tone.
Despite his words, his face remained expressionless.
Nothing about this was funny to him now; concern overrode any sense of humor.
He stepped closer, standing over Ezra.
Ezra looked up at him, eyes wide.
Still conscious.
Barely.
"P-Prince Kaelis..." he whispered, his voice trembling slightly. "I can explain—"
Kaelis raised a hand. "You don’t have to. Truthfully, I know why anyone, and especially someone like you, would hide your true second gender."
"You’re... n-not... going to tell the others?"
"Who else knows?" Kaelis asks.
"Only Prince Helios and his doctor know."
’Right, as expected,’ Kaelis thought as he sighed. "Not Aamon?"
"Please don’t tell him."
’Alright then.’
"Do you have your suppressants? How are you going to deal with this?" Kaelis asks, tilting his head. "I followed to make sure you’re safe, Ezra Belloren, but I honestly don’t know how to handle you."
Ezra whimpered. He actually whimpered, which surprised Kaelis... a lot. Ezra didn’t answer him, but it seemed like Ezra was thinking as he twitched on the ground.
’I’ve always thought he was too beautiful for a man, despite that attitude. But right now, he’s almost heartbreakingly adorable. How is this possible?’
Ha. Adorable.
To think he’d ever think that about the icy knight, Ezra Belloren.
"It won’t stop," Ezra mumbles. "I didn’t bring my suppressants... I always fear someone might end up finding them."
"Then what do you do?"
Ezra looks at him with wide, teary eyes, making Kaelis freeze and almost lose his breath. "I-I... Uh... I... I can’t think... my... my body feels so hot."
Ezra was using very simple words; it was obvious he was starting to lose it.
Kaelis watched as Ezra bit his lip, his face turning redder, as if that was still possible. "Prince Kaelis..." Ezra mumbles.
"Yes?" Kaelis was pushing away his demons.
Kaelis was a man.
A very active man.
Not only that, he was an Alpha.
By how Ezra was acting right now, a knight whom Kaelis always taunted, the strong knight was acting soft.
Of course, Kaelis was affected. Outwardly, he appeared calm, but inside, he struggled to control his body’s response, pushing back a growing conflict.
To have empty thoughts.
"Please... help me..."
But oh, the struggle was overwhelming, and his composure threatened to break.
Kaelis ran a hand through his hair as he knelt on one knee, cautiously placing his hand on Ezra’s forehead.
Ezra flinched, but as Kaelis’s palm made contact with his hot skin, he let out a soft groan.
"Please," Ezra mumbles.
"You’re not yourself, Ezra Belloren," Kaelis whispers, staring into those wide pink eyes, which he always thought reminded him of pink garnets. "As tempting as your pleading may be, I do not want to—"
"I’m aware." Ezra covers his face. "I’m very much aware, and as much as I hate this, and as much as I want to hurt myself right now... my body feels hot... There are still cultists out there, the horde, and Lior... I am needed. I can’t... I can’t go on like this." 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
Ezra peeks through his hands. "I can’t ask anyone else, because I can’t risk anyone else knowing, and you’re already here."
"Hm? And why do you think I’d be willing to do it?" Kaelis asks, but Ezra doesn’t answer.
Ezra stays silent, and Kaelis stares at him.
’He’s desperate,’ Kaelis thought, now starting to feel a hint of amusement.
Kaelis did feel somewhat bad for him. If it weren’t for him, maybe Ezra wouldn’t be in this situation in the first place.
So he exhales and takes off his cape.
"Okay then," he says, making Ezra look at him. "I just hope you don’t regret it and try to kill me afterward."
