The Necromancer is amassing troops like crazy in the apocalypse-Chapter 464 - 379, I’ve got your head covered.
Chapter 464: Chapter 379, I’ve got your head covered.
Philippa yelled out in excitement.
This was a priceless weapon, enough to arm a fleet of a large pirate group.
“I’m giving you this weapon not for you to fight with it, but to use the Illusion to confuse enemies and escape in dangerous situations,” Wu Heng reminded.
“Mmm-hmm, thank you, Dad!” Philippa took a deep breath to steady herself before continuing to ask, “What about these two elixirs? Are they poison?”
“They are Strength Amplification Potions. After taking them, you can directly enhance your physical constitution, roughly equivalent to the effects of leveling up one or two levels.”
Silence suddenly fell on the other side.
...
After two or three seconds, Philippa spoke with a tone of doubt, “Can they really level you up directly?”
“It’s not a direct level-up; it’s just the effect that comes with leveling up.”
“I’ve never heard of such an elixir!”
Wu Heng said, “Its precious value is no less than that of your weapon, and you must keep it secret from others.”
“Oh, I understand! I can keep a secret.”
Having explained everything about the items to her.
Wu Heng continued to ask, “Have you heard of the Demon’s Hand Pirate Group?”
“I’ve heard of them, a very famous pirate group.”
“Tell me about this pirate group.”
Philippa pondered for a moment, then began, “I’ve never encountered them, just heard some accounts. The Demon’s Hand is a large pirate group, with two or three fleets, and the captain must be at least level 15. They also have quite a few experts among their crew. They aren’t in this region, so why are you asking about them?”
A large pirate group with a captain above level 15.
They certainly possessed considerable strength.
“I’ve received some information that they might be planning to assassinate me.”
“Ah!” Philippa cried out instinctively, then asked doubtfully, “Is that reliable? With their size, they shouldn’t be coming after you for just 500 Gold Coins.”
“It could also be just some rumors, but if you get the chance, pay attention to it.”
“Alright, I’ve got your 500 Gold Coin head covered,” Philippa said seriously.
“I thank you.”
“Don’t mention it. I won’t chat anymore, I’ll contact you if there’s anything,” she said.
“Mmm!”
After putting the phone back, Wu Heng walked straight out of the room, heading downstairs.
…
In the captain’s quarters of the Iron Barrel Pirate Group.
Philippa sat with her legs on the desk, wrapping a strip of cloth around the scabbard of the ‘Illusionary Magic Dual Blades’ in her hands.
Weapons with special effects needed to be disguised.
Otherwise, the enemy would devise plans to kill you based on the type of equipment you had.
Once she finished wrapping, she cradled it lovingly in her arms.
“Being a pirate really isn’t the quickest way to make money!”
She hung the two weapons at her waist and affectionately patted the Red Crown Green Parrot beside her, “What do you think?”
“Idiot!” the parrot cursed.
“Shut up, stupid bird.”
The parrot fluttered its wings, flying over to a copper ‘perch’ and gently swaying.
Philippa also stood up and walked to an open area in the room.
She drew the Shuangdao from her waist.
After sensing her surroundings for a moment, her figure began to twist, and two identical figures branched out from her, one on each side, striking the same pose.
Surprise and delight intensified in Philippa’s eyes.
At a thought, the two images instantly made attacking motions.
Although on close inspection one could spot differences from the real body, they could serve a temporary purpose in combat and even affect the flow of the entire battle.
Philippa, thoroughly satisfied, sheathed her weapons and the Illusions vanished.
Sitting back down at the desk, her gaze returned to the remaining items.
A bag of Gold Coins, two elixirs.
She pocketed the Gold Coins and looked closely at the elixirs.
The potions, said to have the effect of leveling up, looked more like Detoxifying Potions sold in Alchemy shops.
She doubted whether the elixirs truly had the effects Wu Heng claimed.
Though she didn’t believe Wu Heng would harm her, potions that could directly improve one’s physical attributes seemed impossible.
If such potions truly existed, the strong would merely need to drink potions to improve.
The one in possession of the potion’s formula would have the power to change the world.
And yet, via a Vice-executive, such a thing ended up in the hands of a minor pirate like herself.
This was somewhat dubious.
But he had indeed treated her well; giving her both weapons and money, it seemed unlikely he would seek to harm her with this.
Mulling it over in her mind, her gaze turned to the parrot standing on the copper perch.
She called out, “Come here, I’ve got a task for you.”
The parrot looked at her but still flew over.
Philippa was quick, grabbing the parrot and pinning it down on the table.
In a panic, the parrot flapped its wings, its eyes full of fear as it struggled frantically.
Philippa drew her weapon and held it to the parrot’s neck; the bird glared, daring not to move.
“Pirate’s code!” the parrot squawked.
Philippa bit into the cork with her mouth and pried it open, directly pouring the Elixir down the Green Parrot’s throat.
Once the Elixir hit its stomach, the Green Parrot stood back up again.
It took a couple of steps on the table, then its eyes rolled back, and it collapsed outright, its body starting to convulse violently.
“Damn, it really is poisonous.” Philippa felt some regret for having made the Green Parrot drink it, since it was her own Tamed Beast.
If it died, she would have to find a new one.
Just as she was about to move forward to try and save it.

The convulsions on the Green Parrot’s body stopped.
In the blink of an eye, its body swelled a bit, and its feathers became even more lustrous.
The Green Parrot stood up again, and the eyes it opened seemed more intelligent.
It shook its head and said, “Praise the captain!”
Philippa’s eyes instantly widened.
There really was a change, and it seemed like the Green Parrot had become smarter too.
Philippa’s gaze returned to the remaining bottle of Elixir, she opened the cork and drank it down herself.
After the bitter taste passed,
her entire body was filled with an indescribable sensation of piercing pain, as if her bones and muscles were being pricked with fine needles.
She curled up in her chair for quite a while.
The sensation in her body gradually dissipated, followed by a feeling of amplified strength all over her body.
She could clearly sense that her body had been enhanced.
“Truly magical, what sort of person have I followed!” Philippa exclaimed, looking back at the Tamed Green Parrot. She ignored its endless praise, grabbed it by the neck and shook it, saying, “You spit it out, you foolish bird.”
The Green Parrot’s body swayed, turning its head away.
…
Gold and Silver Island.
At the dining table, besides Wu Heng and the two maids, Shanaela had also come to scrounge a meal.
Shanaela wore a light blue Longsword gown, and around her fair neck was a pendant made of Amber, dropping to her chest and nestled among her fullness.
Noticing the eyes across from her, Shanaela looked up and gave a cold glance, then lowered her head slightly.
Wu Heng asked, “What have you been busy with lately?”
“Still the trading company’s affairs; what about you?”
“Pretty good, mostly dealing with Pirate issues. Don’t go out to sea recently; it’s not very safe,” Wu Heng cautioned.
Shanaela smiled, “Since the last incident, I’ve not gone out to sea much either, I feel safer staying here.”
“Yeah, run to me if you’re in danger.”
“Got it!” Shanaela sent a soft, tender look his way.
Wu Heng picked up his wine glass and took a sip, “When will the goods I ordered last time arrive?”
“Should be delivered within five days, I’ll let you know when the time comes.”
“Right, can I also order magical weaponry and equipment?” Wu Heng asked again.
“Depends on what kind you need, but production is limited, certainly can’t be orders of a few thousand like yours,” Shanaela put down her knife and fork and looked at him, “If you’re planning to equip an army, magical weapons and armor are not suitable for the battlefield.”
“How so?” Wu Heng also looked towards her.
“Magical items can provide a lot of special effects, but frequent battles, or even a slight damage, can cause the engraved runes to fail. They’re okay for personal use, but there’s no need for large-scale equipment—it’s better to buy a batch of high-quality gear, which would be much more practical than magical weapons,” Shanaela explained.
Listening to her, Wu Heng also understood the underlying meaning.
That is to say, for occasional battles, like Wu Heng catching Fugitives or Pirates plundering ships, magical weapons and armor can provide effects that regular equipment can’t match.
But to equip an army, not to mention the cost,
the kind of frequent training and combat involving hundreds or thousands of soldiers on the battlefield is prone to problems.
Even if you do equip an army, when they return from the battlefield, a batch of weapons may be scrapped.
It’s better to choose some durable weapons.
Wu Heng felt that she made sense.
“You make a good point; do you have any recommendations?” Wu Heng inquired.
“For example, Longswords or Battle Axes made of Fine Iron can achieve excellent results, have high production, and the price won’t be as outrageous as magical items,” Shanaela continued explaining.
When it comes to the market, Shanaela knew what weapon suited whom for purchase.
To be the largest trading company among the Wood Elves takes more than just good looks and the ability to transport and sell goods.
“Hmm, that might work. Can armor be customized? I have a few friends with somewhat unique body shapes; I would like to order some custom armor,” Wu Heng said.
Shanaela nodded, “When the time comes, give me the designs and I’ll arrange for someone to make them for you.”
“Great!”
As the two chatted, Mini and Andre Willow began clearing the table.
They then said, “We’re going outside to kick the shuttlecock; after you finish chatting, Sister Shanaela, come join us.”
“Okay, I’ll be right out,” Shanaela responded with a smile.
Mini and Andre Willow left the room and started kicking the shuttlecock about ten meters apart in the courtyard.
The little owl flew back and forth following them,
screeching nonstop.
…
Glancing outside,
Wu Heng stood up and walked over. He stood before the Wood Elf in a light blue gown, studying her intently as if she were a gem.
Shanaela, shyly dodging, whispered, “What are you doing? They’re still outside.”
