The Mysterious CEO and His Feisty Bride-Chapter 559 - 567 She Actually Fell in Love with the Great God (17)
The road was long, and it took Ling Momo and Li Qingshen a full twenty minutes to reach the villa’s entrance. Busy servants saw them, immediately stopped their work, bowed, and respectfully greeted, "Young Master."
It was just like a scene from one of those idol dramas where a male lead returns home.
The servants didn’t know who Ling Momo was, but they politely greeted her with a "Miss."
This made Ling Momo somewhat uneasy, and she politely smiled at the servants before obediently following behind Li Qingshen into the villa.
Upon pushing open the door, the interior decorations were even more resplendent and grand. Ling Momo had once visited the Li Mansion, but many years had passed, and the Li Mansion had been redecorated, which left her speechless with awe.
The walls were golden, the entire style was European, and right in the center of the living room facing the front door was a fireplace burning with fire, above which hung a huge portrait.
A woman, her lips slightly curved, leaning against a crape myrtle tree wearing a purple dress, her gaze tender. Her fingertips slightly lifted, with purple petals floating past.
The woman in the portrait was dignified yet enchanting, her eyes and eyebrows exuding a darling softness.
It was Li Qingshen’s mother, Wen Jiaran, painted so lifelike it seemed real.
"Madam, the young master has returned," a servant called out upon seeing Li Qingshen, towards the living room inside.
Soon after, Ling Momo saw the purple crystal door being pushed open, and Wen Jiaran stood there, smiling gently. She spoke in a voice as soft as water, "Qingshen and Momo have arrived, come quickly, we’ve just been waiting for you two to start dinner."
Li Qingshen nodded and called out, "Mom," before taking off his coat. Wen Jiaran smoothly took it from him, tidied it up, and then handed it to a servant standing by.
Ling Momo politely bowed, her voice soft, "Auntie Wen."
Wen Jiaran smiled and nodded, then took Ling Momo’s hand, presenting a warm, welcoming smile, "Momo, hurry inside. Your great-grandmother just heard you were coming and was thrilled beyond words, she’s been talking about it incessantly!"
Wen Jiaran spoke as she led Ling Momo into the living room, with Li Qingshen following behind. When they reached the crystal door, Li Qingshen gentlemanly opened it, Wen Jiaran and Ling Momo walked in, and then Li Qingshen followed.
"Mom, Momo is here," Wen Jiaran called out inside, then Ling Momo looked up and saw several people sitting in the room.
She recognized her great-grandmother and Li Nian, but there were three more people, a middle-aged couple, and a girl about Li Qingshen’s age.
Li Qingshen stood behind Ling Momo, slightly frowning at the sight of so many people in the room but said nothing, walking directly to the sofa and taking a seat.
"Momo is here," the great-grandmother waved at Ling Momo, who quickly went to her great-grandmother’s side and softly called out, "Great-grandmother," her tone a bit coquettish.
Wen Jiaran sat between Li Qingshen and Li Nian, her voice still gentle and soft, "Qingshen, this is Zhou Changlin, Mrs. Zhou, and their daughter, Zhou Nuan."
Li Qingshen listened to Wen Jiaran’s introduction and didn’t speak, just nodding his head coolly, acknowledging the greeting.
