The Monarch-Chapter 713: The reaction of the multiverse
Meanwhile, in the universe outside, a true revolution was beginning; it was something never seen before, it was literally something unique in all of existence. There had already been many cases in which the universe united against a single mage, there had been many diabolical beings that represented a real risk to existence.
Beings capable of killing all life that existed had been seen before, but all of them, for the most part, were gods and were under minimal emotional control. Kayden’s case was completely different; he reached a point of power that not even the current divine king had been able to reach. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
No mortal had ever been so strong before; in reality, in terms of raw strength itself, there had already been other cases, even the divine king had reached that level. Speaking of strength was not correct; Kayden was terrifying, but there had already been others like him throughout existence.
Time was immense, the river of time was practically infinite. At certain moments there had been mages of levels capable of equaling Kayden; they were unique beings, but they were killed over time, time crushed all of them. Very bright fireflies were not capable of surviving as long as common flies that did not draw attention.
Those flies were the survivors; the council mages, for example, were not the strongest that had ever existed, they were the flies that survived the passage of time. With the exception of Thoth, all of them were mages who merely survived; few there truly possessed any degree of strength.
Kayden was not the strongest that had ever existed among mortals, at least not yet; that was the frightening part. Kayden reached a point that many of the so-called geniuses fought their entire lives to reach, but he had not even begun yet. His potential was incalculable, there were no ways to place limits on his future.
There had never been such a frightening talent before; not even the oldest members of the council remembered anything similar. Even though there was currently no power in Kayden capable of rivaling the gods at their peak, that power would exist in the future.
That fear moved the gods; all of them understood that Kayden would kill them all, that all of existence would be absorbed, and his words were taken seriously. Any idiot who had seen his soul at the moment it became divine would know that his threat was real.
The multiverse was immense; it encompassed trillions of universes, all living within the same timeline and the same reality. There were other timelines and other realities, realities that existed in only two dimensions, for example, but that was something extremely unreachable even for most gods.
At that moment everyone was organizing for the final war; when an absurd number of geniuses were placed throughout the multiverse they would all go against Kayden, but at that moment it was only beginning.
Techniques of ancestral families were shared freely, the gods revealed techniques and cultivation methods completely out of the ordinary, the council opened its library to the public; this was the greatest act of madness of all at that moment.
The council’s library had been accumulating knowledge since the beginning of time, since the first god ascended and became capable of gathering with other universes. It was knowledge that transcended even timelines and even realities; it was not something common, and even so it was opened freely to any genius indicated by a god.
The mages began to act in silence, altering the fabric of the universe with rituals that should never have been performed together. Natural laws were forced, the flow of time was distorted, and entire regions began to exist under artificial rules. Worlds were shaped to produce constant conflict, continuous suffering, and extreme talents. Chance was suppressed by cold calculations and by the collective will of the conjurers. Each change was a deliberate sacrifice made to prepare reality against Kayden.
In the depths of existence, ancient and newly awakened mages broke limits that they had previously respected out of fear or ignorance. Lineages were manipulated, destinies rewritten, and potentials forced to emerge prematurely. Balance was abandoned in favor of survival, and the future became unstable. Each advance demanded a greater price than the previous one, paid in lives, worlds, and entire eras. Even so, everyone believed that any cost was acceptable to face Kayden.
The legend of Kayden continued to spread more and more; he was Kayden the Destroyer, the emissary of the end. Various names arose for him over time, but all were very clear about his purpose. Common mortals were not left blind to what was happening; everyone knew they would be killed by Kayden if he were not stopped.
Entire organizations were created solely to search for talents and train them to an insane point. Gods who did not want to participate in this event were completely crushed by the absolute majority of the council, at least most of them; a few remained against it.
The pride of the divine god should be studied; even seeing Kayden’s potential that day, they refused to believe that he was such a great threat. Not only that, they believed he would be incapable of fully fighting them when he became a god.
One of them was the divine king; his ego was the greatest among all gods. Instead of training common mages and pathetic mortals, he began to focus on himself. He completely refused to provide any help and isolated himself in the council’s library; the rest of his days would be spent in that place.
Kayden would be his final opponent; it would be the consecration of his strength. If he won, a process of enslavement of all gods who walked under the sun would begin; otherwise it would not be a problem he would have to deal with.
This caused a certain disorder in Atherion, as this world was left without governance once again. The gods were able to fully grow their influences again and return to ruling without limits.
Meanwhile, Kayden was beginning to recover in the universe of chaos. His mind and his higher soul transformed what should have taken millions of years into only a few tens of thousands of years; that was all it took for him...
"So this is chaos," Kayden said as he pulled a law toward his arm and smiled.
Author’s note: Sorry for the delay in posting Chapters, but... I bought a car. Many of my readers must be from other countries, but in short, in Brazil buying a new car is the same as buying a house in other countries, lol.
