The Military Queen-Chapter 127 - 88: Ding Ling and Ding Ling
Lu Xun came out of "Military Road," and when he opened his eyes, the room was already filled with brightness. The new day’s sunshine was dazzling.
He stood up and walked into the bathroom, where the sound of flushing water could be heard.
The door was quietly opened, and a wheelchair rolled in. A woman with a delicately beautiful face like a Barbie doll gently pushed the wheelchair, first glancing at the bathroom. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
Through the misty steam, the man’s naked body swayed. Ding Ling blushed, turned her head away, and surveyed the room filled with a masculine aura.
Lu Xun’s room, just like him, didn’t have any unnecessary, cumbersome decorations. Some books about firearms were neatly arranged on a two-meter-tall bookshelf.
The Rand Military District’s uniform hung inside the wardrobe. The bed was made, and the bedding, as if untouched, was folded neatly into the size of tofu blocks.
Today he seemed to have woken up earlier than usual. Ding Ling pursed her lips and pushed the wheelchair next to Lu Xun’s desk, where the computer screen was still on.
Ding Ling had originally planned to tease Lu Xun while he was still asleep, but now that he was already awake, she felt somewhat disappointed. Her hand reached out to the computer screen and quickly typed in several passwords.
The computer from the year 2064 used a password lock, which only allowed normal use of the computer’s touch-and-mouse functions when the password was entered. On the screen, the "Military Road" icon popped up.
When did Brother Xun start playing online games? Ding Ling pouted; she was already twenty-two years old this year. However, due to a traffic accident in her childhood that disabled her legs, her family had overly protected her, making her temperament and behavior much more childish and willful than her peers.
To Ding Ling, Lu Xun was a very special existence. He was both her "brother" and the playmate her father had found for her to vent on over the years. Ding Ling still remembered, when she first met Lu Xun, how his excited expression seemed like he had found his long-lost "sister."
Ding Ling had always been familiar with Lu Xun’s preferences, and naturally, she also wanted to explore this new interest of his. Ding Ling’s right hand moved to click, just as the "Military Road" interface was about to open.
A strong hand reached from behind and removed Ding Ling’s hand. The computer screen went dark, and Ding Ling turned her face away in annoyance, her arm hanging on Lu Xun’s neck.
Her petite stature, compounded by her disabled legs, meant her whole weight hanging on Lu Xun’s neck was not heavy at all.
Seeing her dangling, Lu Xun worried her arms might not hold, so he picked her up. Ding Ling leaned on Lu Xun’s body, smelling the clean scent of soap on him after his shower, and rubbed her nose against him: "Brother Xun, when did you also start playing games?"
"That’s work-related, not just an ordinary game," Lu Xun admitted he really had no choice with this foster sister of his.
Ding Ling pressed her body tightly against Lu Xun’s. Although her temperament was still at a child’s level, her body was already that of an adult woman. Hugging and embracing in childhood was one thing, but now that both were adults, such close actions, if seen by others, would not look good.
Ding Ling didn’t care about these things; she just used her tender chest to rub against Lu Xun’s sturdy arms. Lu Xun slightly pushed her away a bit, "Alright, I have to go to the military region now."
"Always work," Ding Ling complained persistently. Her father, Brigadier General Ding Mouzhao, one of the two current active brigadier generals in the Rand Military District, also always liked to use his busy work as an excuse to neglect her.
"You stay at home with mother, don’t be too willful," Lu Xun said as he placed her back in the wheelchair and pushed her away.
After handing Ding Ling over to her foster mother Wei Ruqin, Lu Xun changed his clothes and left. Unlike other officers of the same rank in the military region, Lu Xun commuted by the military region’s bus unless going out required otherwise.
Seeing that Ding Ling had not eaten breakfast, Wei Ruqin urged her to eat first. Ding Ling glanced sideways and snorted, "With Dad and Brother Xun not around, stop pretending with me here, you really think you’re my real mom."
Hearing Ding Ling’s words, Wei Ruqin’s still-smiling face stiffened, and she replied, "Xiao Ling, you promised me that as long as I tell Lu Xun you are my daughter Ding Ling, you wouldn’t make things difficult for me anymore."
