Chapter 299: Chapter 298: Is that question very difficult? (Extra)

Lu Mian’s fingers flew across the screen, as the images on her phone switched rapidly.

Ding Cai wanted to say something, but suddenly realized she had earphones in and hadn’t heard a word he said.

“…” Fine, he just played the lute to a cow.

After introducing his team on stage, Sheng Zixin suddenly took the microphone and started speaking with an arrogant tone.

“Does anyone here have the solution to the math problem from two days ago? It doesn’t matter if you’re a teacher or a student.”

In his hand, he was fiddling with the school badge of Kunpeng High School!

...

Listen to this arrogant tone!

Look at this haughty attitude!

The heads of the school and some teachers sitting in the front row of the theater all had cold expressions on their faces.

The students sitting below were sighing, feeling both self-reproach and humiliation. They wished they could drive these people out of their campus, but had to admit that the rival’s aggressive move had frustrated them for two days!

The more arrogant the enemy, the more Qiang Hua told himself to stay calm.

He also took the microphone with interest and walked up to Sheng Zixin, interacting with him on the spot.

“Is this Sheng Zixin? I have a question for you.”

“Please ask.”

Qiang Hua glanced at the audience below, then stared at Sheng Zixin seriously and asked in return, “Was that math problem you posed very difficult?”

“…” Sheng Zixin’s expression froze for a moment, as if he was almost amused.

The students below, however, erupted at Qiang Hua’s question, banging their chairs and whistling loudly.

They never knew their grade director could be so cheeky!

What a great question that was, brilliantly asked!

Even Sheng Zixin ended up laughing with a “haha”: “Do you perhaps have a misunderstanding about that problem?”

How could he not know the level of his own problem? When he posed it, the teachers at Era Middle School huddled together, taking a whole day to get to the essence of the problem and solve it. Since the experts from the Mathematical Olympiad Committee didn’t solve it within the allotted time, the problem became legendary.

And they dared to say it wasn’t difficult?

Sorry, he just wanted to laugh.

“Oh, there shouldn’t be any,” Qiang Hua replied with a smile, his tone both joking and dignified: “But I think you might have a misunderstanding about our school.”

Sheng Zixin and his party looked at each other, the atmosphere quite awkward.

Qiang Hua didn’t care, and said into the microphone, “A/V room, play the surveillance video of the problem-solving.”

Sheng Zijin looked at Sheng Zixin, feeling somewhat uncertain. Could it be that someone really solved it?

Sheng Zixin waved his hand dismissively. Not that it was impossible for a particularly outstanding student to do it in two days, but surely it wouldn’t surpass him.

He didn’t take it seriously and turned to look at the big screen behind him.

The surveillance video started playing quickly. There was no sound, only images.

The footage started from when Sheng Zixin wrote the problem. The video sped up after he finished writing, and didn’t return to normal speed until twenty minutes later, when no one was moving around the display area anymore.

The campus was very quiet.

Only a tall girl with short hair came into view. She seemed sleepy, yawning and covering her mouth all the way, so that her face wasn’t visible.

Soon after the girl passed the display area, the plot took a turn.

She paused for a few seconds in front of the display, then picked up a marker that was lying on the floor.

Without a second thought, she started writing the process and answer. The time on the surveillance video read 7:22 AM.

She was casual the whole time, with one hand in her pocket and no need for even a piece of scrap paper, diagonally facing the camera.

When the camera clearly showed the display area again, the difficult problem had been solved, with a neat answer listed there.

The time read 7:28 AM.

The video paused and at the same moment, a wave of frenzied screaming erupted in the theater.

“Ahhh—It’s been solved!”

“What kind of problem is this? Our student finished it in six minutes!”

“Era Middle School, give us back our school badge!”

In the midst of the frenzy, someone in the audience weakly asked, “Who’s that girl?”

Someone stood up directly, shouting, “I recognize her, I know who she is!”
