The Martial Artist Turned Movie Mogul-Chapter 43 - 42. Silver Needle Customization
Chapter 43: 42. Silver Needle Customization
Chapter 43: 42. Silver Needle Customization
Photography studio.
Sister Luo pushed Tang Shu into the changing room and gave a few instructions to the two stylists beside her before turning around to talk with the photographer from Starshine Media.
Fifteen minutes later, the door to the changing room was pushed open.
“Brother Shen, what do you think of this outfit?”
A costume stylist from Starshine Media followed closely behind and asked for opinions in the direction where the two were standing.
The photographer known as Brother Shen looked towards Tang Shu, and once he did, he couldn’t take his eyes off her.
The girl not far away was wearing a black jacket and matching it with black jeans that had holes in them.
It was a very simple style, yet combined with Tang Shu’s delicate facial features and her cool eyes, it added an aura of invincibility.
Brother Shen was stunned for a moment and didn’t speak.
He had always found the company’s new artist very attractive, but previously, she gave off the vibe of the girl next door; now, her image had been completely overturned.
“It’s perfect, just like that!”
All of a sudden, he turned to Sister Luo beside him, his eyes filled with admiration.
“You really had foresight, Tang Shu is very suitable for the role of the female assassin in Director Xie’s film.”
Just now, Sister Luo told him that they had chosen a dark style for this photoshoot, and his first reaction was that it was inappropriate; he was inwardly resistant to it.
He had never imagined that Tang Shu, once changed into the outfit, would give him such a shock.
“Take her to do her makeup, there’s no need for heavy makeup, this is fine.”
Tang Shu’s features were very distinctive, and with just a little bit of contour, she could absolutely hold down the dark style.
“Okay.”
The costume stylist said a word to Tang Shu and went with her into the adjacent makeup room.
Meanwhile, Sister Luo had just recovered from the impact Tang Shu had made on her, showing an odd expression.
“At that time… I indeed signed her because of the role of Lin Yiyi—”
Could it be that she had misjudged?
Why was the direction of events feeling a bit off?
Taking advantage of the artist’s makeup time, Sister Luo approached Brother Shen, who was adjusting the camera.
“Weren’t you just opposed to this dark style theme a moment ago?”
You sure changed your stance quickly!
Brother Shen’s movements froze for a moment, then he casually cleared his throat, “Have you forgotten who I am? Even if it’s a complete novice, I can make her master any style.”
“???”
Are you really not feeling conflicted saying that?

In the makeup room.
Sister Ching, the makeup artist from Starshine who came along, was currently looking at the face in front of her with sparkling eyes.
“Your name is Tang Shu, right? How do you usually take care of your skin? I can’t find a single flaw on it.”
Her face was smooth as an egg, brimming with collagen; did it even need makeup?
Completely unnecessary!

Sister Ching held a powder puff in her hand, eager to try, yet she also felt it was a pity.
For a makeup artist with aspirations, encountering such a perfect face would naturally be a joy.
It was a pity because she was so beautiful that any touch could possibly disrupt the original beauty.
Tang Shu paused for a moment at the words, and her gaze fell on Sister Ching’s face.
“Sister Ching’s skin is very good too, but there are two pimples on your chin, probably from eating spicy food recently. Drinking a cup of lemon water usually will make them subside.”
“Really?”
She had been worrying about the pimples on her face!
“Really. Also, drink a cup of lemon water before eating spicy food next time, and you won’t have this trouble.”
“I’ll try that next time.”
Half an hour later, Tang Shu walked out of the makeup room.
The girl’s face was adorned with a delicate light makeup; under the expert hands of Sister Ching, her tender white skin became crystal clear and flawless.
A light grapefruit color tinted her lips, complementing her skin even more and making it appear pure white and flawless. Under the studio lights, it shimmered with a gentle luster as her nose, after some contouring, looked more defined.
Brother Shen, who had just finished inspecting the camera, was once again stunned on the spot.
“Sister Luo, you’ve really found a gem—your eye is impeccable!”
Such a girl is destined to live under the spotlight.
Sister Luo was equally fixated on the radiant Tang Shu, momentarily speechless.
“Isn’t that the truth,” she agreed.
Tang Shu slightly lifted her head, her cool gaze pausing on the two of them before her lips parted lightly.
“Shall we start?”
“OK, let’s begin the shoot!”
Brother Shen felt a sense of unprecedented pride swelling in his heart as he walked, eyes gleaming, to his position.
In the photography studio, under the multitude of spotlights.
Tang Shu leaned her back against the red wall, one leg slightly bent, her right foot elegantly tipped upward, her upper body casually straightened, exuding an air of nonchalance.
“Good, just like that, hold that pose,” directed the photographer.
“Click, click—”
Brother Shen’s camera shuttered repeatedly, each second capturing what seemed like a highlight moment to him.
After half an hour, once a set had been shot, Tang Shu went back into the changing room.
When she came out, her style had completely changed.
This time, her rebellious denim look was replaced by a black figure-hugging dress, unexpectedly shrouding her in an air of mystery.
Brother Shen stared at her outfit for a long moment, then turned and instructed several crew members.
Shortly, Tang Shu was called to a spot beneath a window.
“Could someone from props please bring over that white short-eared cat for her?”
As per Brother Shen’s request, Tang Shu sat on the tatami by the window, her black dress naturally draping down.
She cradled the white short-eared cat in her arms, gently tilting her head upward, her expression focused and earnest as she gazed out at the starry sky.
“Good, that’s the feel we want, don’t move!”
Once the lighting technician adjusted the angle, Tang Shu’s features became more pronounced. Just the profile view alone made the onlookers in the studio catch their breath.
The next moment, another burst of shutter clicks ensued.
The five sets of photoshoots took over three hours to complete. By the time Tang Shu had changed out of her clothes, it was already eleven o’clock at night.
Sister Luo handed her the phone.
“Your phone was ringing.”
Tang Shu glanced at the caller ID and her eyes gleamed with anticipation.
“Hello—”
“The silver needles are ready for you. I’m outside the studio,” came the voice from the other side.
“Thank you,” she replied.
“No need to thank me, I’m the one who’s coming out ahead in this deal,” the caller chuckled lightly.
Through the window, Tang Shu looked downstairs to see a woman in a trench coat leisurely leaning against a Hummer, looking up at her.
Two minutes later, Wen Nuan downstairs passed a small cloth bag to her.
“This was specially prepared by a friend who practices Chinese medicine. It’s said to be convenient for carrying around. Does it suit your needs?”
When Tang Shu opened the cloth bag, she saw the silver needles gleaming softly under the light.
She took one out and flicked it a few times, causing the silver needle to waver slightly.
It had excellent flexibility.
“Not bad, as expected of Plants & Herbs Hall products,” she said with satisfaction.
“That’s good to hear. If you want something customized next time, just send me the design on WeChat,” Wen Nuan offered.
“Will do.”
“I’m off, see you next time.”
Tang Shu waved goodbye and watched as Wen Nuan drove away, holding the set of silver needles thoughtfully in her hand.
In fact, during their last conversation at Plants & Herbs Hall, what had convinced her to agree to cooperate was this very point.
The other party had promised that if in the future she wanted to craft more convenient weapons, Plants & Herbs Hall would forge them for free.
Finding someone so skilled in cold weapons here was unlikely; apart from Wen Nuan, there probably wasn’t anyone else. And more importantly… this was someone she could trust.
