The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse-Chapter 1432: Father-Son-Moment
After Planet Caelmir awoke several billion years ago, Magnus left and never returned. He lost everybody who believed in him, so he had no reason to stay there anymore.
Of course, after the planet’s awakening, all who despised him gained a reality check and tried to make it up to him. However, they were too late.
One of those people was his father, who was the king at the time.
Before the awakening, he treated him like shit. He hated him simply because he awakened as a Vampire, the only vampire the world had ever seen.
However, after the awakening, or maybe during the awakening, when the danger level reached a certain stage where even he was struggling to keep his life safe, he finally saw that the vampire he hated was the only one standing tall, defending the planet from the heavens.
He hated himself for that, so after the awakening, he stepped down as king and exiled himself, spending the next billions of years reflecting on his life and finding a purpose.
Along the way, he became a God and then a Supreme. Now, looking at him exuding a Celestial aura, Klaus couldn’t help but smile painfully.
"I guess the heavens have been kind to you, old man." The former King Alric smiled, and just as he got close to Klaus, he opened his arms wide.
Klaus glared at him and muttered, "I don’t usually hug men, but I will make an exception for you."
The father and son embraced in a big hug, one that made everyone in the hall smile. That was especially true for Klaus’s wives. They knew how important family is to Klaus.
As a Paragon who is hated in every life, all who love him and support him are the most important to him.
Queen Leah had already told them all she knew about Magnus, and so did the five sisters among them who were his wives back then. Seeing them hug despite the bad blood that used to exist between them felt nice.
"Glad to see you are still alive, old man."
"Likewise."
After breaking the hug, Klaus turned to Queen Leah, who said,
"I informed him you would be coming by. I hope you don’t mind."
"Don’t worry, Queen Leah. It was quick thinking on your part."
She smiled, feeling proud of herself. Despite being a god, in front of Klaus, who is a paragon, she felt small.
Klaus turned and saw that three chairs were reserved for him. He had already told them he would be bringing someone over, so one of the chairs was for Rory, while King Alric was meant to occupy one.
They walked and sat down. Then Klaus brought out the Demon Bead and brought out Rory, who immediately tensed when her eyes landed on the people gathered.
There was one Celestial, two Supremes, three Gods, and five Demigods.
King Alric was the Celestial, while the two Supremes were Queen Leah’s sister and mother. Her mother was the queen before her. As for the Demigods, one male and one female were Queen Leah’s children, while the remaining three were her most trusted subordinates.
The rest were his wives, who now numbered over 30. Of course, some of them had not yet officially joined the harem, but he considered them all his wives.
This lineup scared Rory very much. However, Klaus took her hand and made her sit down first.
"Everyone, meet Rory. She is the eldest daughter of Star-Lord Victor, one of the strongest Immortal Lords in the universe and the leader of the Stella Human race."
"Welcome to Planet Caelmir, Rory," Queen Leah welcomed her, and the others nodded, finally calming her down a bit.
Klaus turned and looked at his old man. "This bag of bones is my father. Don’t smile at him or maintain eye contact with him. This old bastard is like a magnet to ladies. In the past, he alone had over 30 wives."
Rory blinked a few times, but no words came to mind. Aside from the fact that Klaus’s father is a Celestial, the mere fact that Klaus didn’t seem to butter his words when referring to him scared her.
And she wasn’t the only one. Even Queen Leah seemed afraid for Klaus. After all, the man in question is one of the most powerful Celestials in the universe.
He is someone who ventured into the Forbidden Universe as a Supreme and returned as a Celestial. Someone like that deserves all the respect in the universe.
Yet Klaus didn’t seem to care.
"Brat, just because I made some mistakes in the past doesn’t mean you can disrespect me in front of these fine people," King Alric spoke, maintaining a smile on his face.
Klaus smirked.
"Who are you kidding, old man? We both know what I said is true. How are my stepmothers, by the way?"
King Alric looked at Klaus long and hard before a chuckle escaped his lips. "They are fine. Some left me, by the way... no thanks to you."
"As it should be. Although you are not aware, I was the glue that kept them together."
"Brat..."
King Alric grabbed his ear, causing Klaus to cry in pain. "Hey, old man, aren’t you shy to be bullying a mere Immortal?"
"You are my son, so it is allowed."
"Queen Leah, do something before this bastard kills me."
Queen Leah coughed a few times but couldn’t say anything. Her mother giggled and hid her face, while the rest just smiled and continued watching the Paragon they all revered get bullied.
"Ladies..." Seeing the Queen had no way to help him, he turned to his wives, but they all held evil grins on their faces. This sight killed his spirit...
"Endure, my love. One day, you will have your revenge," Lily said with a giggle.
"Relax, my sweet beans, I will help you kick father-in-law’s butt when we become Supremes," Hanna also said, and the rest followed until Klaus finally accepted his fate.
"I am sorry, pops. I promise I will help you get back your fine wives."
King Alric held his ear, which had turned red, for a few more seconds before he let go. "That is more like it. Make sure you sing my praise, or else next time, I will stretch both ears until you turn into an elf."
Klaus clenched his ear for a few seconds before a chuckle escaped his lips. He looked at everyone in the hall and muttered coldly, yet his words came out jokingly.
"I’ll remember your betrayals today."
They all laughed, lightening the mood in the hall. They all expected to meet a high-and-mighty, arrogant person. After all, the history they had heard of the Paragons had portrayed him as an arrogant bastard.
The Heavens Court went out of its way to smear his name, making up all kinds of stories just to paint him as the bad guy.
Klaus is nothing like the arrogant person they had imagined.
He is down to earth, and from the little stunt with his old man, they can tell he enjoys life. Some people, even after billions of years and several lives, would still hang on to the hatred they had, considering this man was once a terrible father to Magnus.
However, watching them now, they can all tell Klaus has long forgiven him, and now he is more than happy to have met him.
That is worth everything to them. It shows that the Paragon is someone they can all relate to.
