The Last King Of Darkness-Chapter 1353 - 669: Humanity’s Legacy (Part 3)
"But this throne is dozens of times larger than the Star Marrow Altar, I’m afraid it will break your egg..."
"It’s a storage space!"
Rod felt slightly weary and handed the stone jar to Qingyu:
"You hold this, it contains the Primordial Spiritual Energy of the Holy King, very precious, and there are also three Light Stones in the base."
He grasped that dirty rag and sent it back to the Dream Realm:
"This is Star Cotton, which has absorbed all the Star Source condensed by the Holy King. After returning, you can slowly squeeze it out bit by bit."
He walked outside, drew the Dream Ritual, and sent out all the anchored items.
"I can only anchor one item at a time, pick up the most valuable ones, and discard the rest."
Finally, Rod came under the throne, where the majestic corpse still sat quietly on the throne, the gigantic skull gazing down like a god throughout its life.
He took a deep breath and drew the largest Dream Ritual in history, then formed the Dream Gesture.
Boom!
A magnificent explosion sounded, a gale howled past from behind his head, and the gigantic throne and corpse vanished.
In the Dream Realm, only an earth-shattering bang was heard, and the Spirit Throne landed on a vast expanse of open ground.
If the Dream Realm hadn’t expanded many times, it would never have accommodated such a colossal object.
Luckily, the Book of Knowledge had already commanded the three Ghost Kings to move aside, or one might have been crushed.
It and Asa curiously approached the throne, carefully observing the corpse of this legendary king.
Meanwhile, in the Horror Castle, the view before Rod suddenly became immensely spacious.
Qingyu, Horus, and Peibela all expressed sincere admiration, uttering their oft-repeated phrase: "As expected of you, Rod."
At this moment, a violent tremor occurred in the Horror Castle, dust fell from the ceiling, and countless cracks rapidly expanded.
"The Horror Castle is about to collapse, let’s get out quickly..."
Before they could finish speaking, the entire Horror Castle collapsed with a massive explosion.
Countless fragments fell from the sky, and the immense shockwave roared back and forth, yet it didn’t harm them in the slightest.
Rod watched the collapsing Horror Castle in astonishment. No wonder the Holy King didn’t warn of danger; there was no danger at all.
There was nothing horrific in the Horror Castle, its name was "Holy Castle."
Rod stood atop the countless ruins, the Abyssal Aura howling in from all directions as he contemplated the scene before him.
What changed its name, twisting the Holy Castle into the Horror Castle?
The collapsing ruins began to evaporate, an eerie yet sacred aura rose skyward, dispelling the Abyssal Aura.
Specks of light condensed and fell from mid-air, gathering in Rod’s palm.
It was a swirling grey mist, a Residual Soul deliberately partitioned by the Holy King, containing his Root Origin.
The Holy King’s characteristic was not "Eternal Burning Fire," he was not the Fire’s Chosen, but rather the exceedingly rare "Bright Light" among humanity for countless ages.
Achieving the True King with "Bright Light" was unimaginably difficult.
As the Horror Castle collapsed, the terrain of this abyss rapidly changed, the black swamp began to boil, dangerous auras emerged, and Abyss Monsters were approaching.
"Let’s hurry and go."
Qingyu urgently said: "This place is becoming very dangerous, I already sense several strong beings focusing their attention here."
Rod felt a chill in his heart, knowing that in the absence of the True King’s deterrence, Abyss Monsters were swiftly approaching.
"Go, let’s quickly return to the Royal City."
The four dared not delay, moving as swiftly as possible towards the abyss.
But the abyss’ powerful gravitational pull constrained them, and soon, monsters were catching up.
It was an enormous skeleton, only the upper half of a body, with the lower half being a large mass of black condensed matter.
"King Level Monster, sixteen-level Spiritual Energy! Quick, we are no match!"
Yet their speed was no match for the giant skeleton, and worse, another massive Abyss Monster emitting black aura appeared in front of them.
"Damn, that’s the Abyss Demon King!"
Rod exhaled, knowing he couldn’t save his Spiritual Energy, and with a thought, the [Spirit Realm Ship] unfolded, enveloping the three.
"Hold on tight!"
With a thought, the large mass of white fog carried the four of them skyward.
The "Spirit Realm Ship" freed itself from the abyss’ gravitational constraints, crossing the dark turbulence and great wilderness at an unimaginable speed, shaking off the Abyss Monsters’ pursuit and passing through the abyss’ entrance—a massive hole in the sky, hidden behind the deep Black Abyss Cloud.
The "Spirit Realm Ship" took just one second to pass through the entrance, and Rod felt the world spinning as if the heavens and the earth shifted places. When he regained his senses, he was back in that enormous cave, standing among countless pillars, with the gigantic pit leading to the abyss beside him.
It took Rod several seconds to realize he was out of danger and within the range of the Royal City.
The four of them exchanged glances and smiled.
They knew that at this moment, a new era was about to begin.
The Trolian Kingdom was on the verge of entering a period of prosperity.
The clearing of the Black Fog, elimination of monsters, revival of humanity, rekindling of fire—all of these once distant and unattainable whimsical fantasies were becoming tangible.
——
As Rod emerged from the sewer, a huge burst of Golden Light flashed before his eyes once more.
Gather the relics, enhance the overall power of the Orderer, further reduce the entropy of chaos, and bring great hope, Divinity +300
At this moment, nothing could bring Rod this much joy.
He knew that not only humanity but he too was about to step into a new domain.
