The Last King Of Darkness-Chapter 1334 - 660: Horror Castle
Since the battle of Starry Sky City ended, Trolian has been searching for the location of Horror Castle.
It wasn’t until now, after mastering the method to search for ancient relics, that the Investigation Legion discovered its tracks.
This is very significant news.
Horror Castle contains the purest Star Source. According to Bossivale, the Star Source is an aggregate derived from the essence of the stars, one of the most precious Soul Elements, which can greatly enhance the activity of souls and increase the dynamism of positions.
Trolian has a deep understanding of this. Potions made from Star Source bring enormous improvements to mid- and high-rank combatants.
Rod’s perception is even more direct: one drop of Star Source, 8 points of divinity.
Unfortunately, since the Star Chart was completely damaged due to pollution, this source of divinity has been cut off.
Trolian’s Star Source and Star Source Potions have long been exhausted, leaving many people stuck at critical junctions, unable to progress further.
The scarcity of resources is showing itself vividly at this moment.
This is still the result after Trolian’s great expansion; previously, the scarcity of resources was even more severe, with even common resources like Sun Stones, Moon Stones, and Sun Crystals being extremely scarce.
Upon learning about this history, Bossivale genuinely cannot believe that under such circumstances, Trolian at the time still had more than a dozen Commanders. He cannot imagine how they managed to complete quantification to step into the domain of true powerhouses.
Rod is also quite curious about this: "How did Saint Reel obtain the Star Source?"
Bossivale explained: "At the moment when the stars shine, or when the stars return, the thirteen Protecting White Kings return to the Royal City to hold a massive star ceremony, gathering the brilliance of the stars to condense into the Star Source... If we are in great need, on Fire Day, Moon Day, when the sun shines or when the moonlight is bright, we can also forcibly hold a star ceremony, but it requires the Pope to personally preside over it."
After learning about the items needed for the star ceremony, Rod couldn’t help but marvel at Saint Reel.
Forget the past; even today’s Trolian cannot support it.
Not to mention anything else, they can’t even gather thirteen Monarch Level powerhouses.
Currently, Trolian has at most three Monarchs, and only four if you include the King. Unfortunately, the three Protecting White Kings sent back from Saint Reel were severely injured, with polluted soul cores, forcing the Soul Masters to cut a portion of their souls.
Though they saved their lives, they suffered too much damage, with incomplete souls and residual pollution, rendering them essentially incapable of combat. They had to retire to secondary roles, becoming Elders in the Supreme Council, engaging in teaching and training activities to assist Bossivale in passing on combat experience and Spiritual Energy cultivation knowledge to Trolian’s warriors.
There are many others sharing the same fate, including several Commanders, dozens of Transcendents, hundreds of non-humans and Perfects, as well as many, many warriors.
They are the lucky ones, at least retaining their lives and continuing to contribute in the new kingdom.
Many more have long sunk into the lands of Saint Reel, with fewer than one in ten escaping from Saint Reel.
During this time, in addition to setting up outposts in the Sword Edge Mountain Range to monitor any movements from Saint Reel, Trolian has also devoted significant effort to rescue those escaping Saint Reel from other directions.
Trolian’s only two deployable Monarch Level forces, Olivia and Allen, personally led the rescue teams.
But, unfortunately, few people managed to escape Saint Reel on their own.
Most of those rescued by the First Saint Heir perished on the road. Many teams, even after leaving Saint Reel’s territory, didn’t go far before being caught and killed by flesh creations.
Outside the Kingdom of Saint Reel, there were only corpses and walking dead. Just before their deaths, the vast majority were heading towards Trolian, guided by the message from the First Saint Heir, as their only hope.
Yet most with such hope perished halfway.
The largest group Allen encountered numbered nearly a million, all died on a barren land, where flesh was scattered, blood was pervasive, and monsters feasted joyously, enjoying a carnival of flesh. The presence of the Blood God hovered over it, transforming the place into an Earthly Divine Kingdom of the God of Contaminated Blood.
Within this tragic scene lay unsettling information—the aura of the God of Contaminated Blood was spreading towards Trolian.
Perhaps soon, Trolian will face an invasion of the Ancient God.
Upon receiving the information, the Royal City grew highly tense, and defensive preparations for an invasion intensified. At this moment, Liszt sent news that they had found traces of Horror Castle.
This shocking information immediately caused an explosive reaction in the Royal City.
Currently, many combatants are stuck at critical points due to lack of Star Source. Horus and Lucian are just one step away from completing quantification and advancing as Commanders.
The former is the only Archbishop in a thousand years to master the Bright Light Attribute, while the latter possesses the rare "Eye of the Heart". Once he completes quantification, Doomsday believers will find escape from his sight even harder.
Even more powerhouses are unable to advance due to the lack of various resources, including Star Source.
Most importantly, Liszt discovered the clue of Horror Castle in a relic on the Dark Great Plain.
It was a solitary tower left by a kingdom called "Sigles" from the Fire Epoch. They traveled from thousands of miles across the Main Continent to find Horror Castle. The Sigles Kingdom learned through some means that Horror Castle was a relic left by one of the three True Kings who founded the Fire Epoch. They wanted to obtain his legacy and find a way to revive human glory.
