Chapter 494: Realization!

Whereas, Austin was currently in the hotel’s room, “Get the files extracted. I want the shipment to be at the customer’s warehouse as soon as possible.”

“No...No.. This deal is very important. It is worth 50 million dollars. We can’t let it go so easily. I will ask Sharon to arrange the documents as well, you just keep your eyes on the other part of the operations.” Giving the demand to his team, Austin had shut the laptop down.

A tired sigh had escaped from his lips, where he couldn’t help but feel his head aching. Getting his tie loose, he rested his head against the chair to close his eyes. ‘This was really a long day...’

And he doesn’t know why, but the sudden images of meeting Olivia in the morning were flashing across his brain.

Despite being engaged in the work, he can’t get the argument out of his mind

‘Stop it Austin..she doesn’t even care about you..’ and this was the ultimate truth he is facing currently.

It trashed his heart with the powers but stopping them, Austin knew he had to overcome the power.

.....

TING!

The bell rang in the room where he stood for his toes to walk to the other side of the door.

Opening it, he came across the sight of a single person and that was the most unexpected part. 𝐟re𝐞w𝐞𝒃𝓃𝒐𝐯𝚎𝒍.c૦𝚖

“O-Olivia?”

It was already night in the state. So what was she doing here so late?

Whereas, she carried a tight-fitted black one-piece. She had clutched her hands altogether with a lot of resistance and the empowered eyes can’t muster the courage to lift them. “H-ey...”

“Can we talk?” Was the small request Olivia made with sincerity in them?

As Austin’s eyes traveled and gazed at her from bottom to top, he only nodded his head. “Come in”

“Thanks.” Olivia passed him a genuine smile and entered the room where she sat on the bed without even making any significant eye contact with him yet.

Gulping the saliva present in her mouth, Olivia lifted her eyes softly to look at the man, “Um...I wanted to say sorry..”

“For what?” Despite knowing what she was here for, Austin didn’t barge from letting her speak the truth.

It was as if he was interested to know more and hear the truth from her own mouth which will get the things commuted very well.

Initially, Olivia was hesitant. Her trembling holding fingers proved her wrong in this state before she just blurted, “For the morning scene I created. It was unnecessary....”

“So you do know that it was useless and there was no need for you to do that.” Austin was sarcastic in his words when he sat beside her on the bed as well. “I told you that on the spot. You were overreacting.”

“Those were just my fears and...anxiousness that erupted at that moment. I didn’t intentionally do that.” Olivia tried her best to cover up but it brought a scoff from Austin’s lips.

A chuckle escaped from Austin’s lips, where he couldn’t help but stare at her face once again, “Your emotions...Olivia, what do you even think of me?”

“What do you mean to say?” her brows lifted from their space as the query didn’t fit inside her mind. “You still bore hatred against me because I didn’t take you along with me when I..went back home at the age of fifteen?”

Austin’s question struck her mind. But in return, she had instantly passed him shook and decided to decline such a possibility.

“That isn’t the truth. I never said that I hated you because of that. I-It..was simply other things...”

“Such as? You already know this and I have told you countless times that..my family background isn’t the one where you should be brought up. I know how I have suffered since I went back.”

“I realized that I have shifted from heaven to hell. It was the dead meet with my gangster and mafia father and with stepmother and brother sisters. It was all useless for me, but what brought me to them and stayed up was..all because I wanted to be someone big. So that I can act and achieve what I want in my life..”

Austin’s sudden explanation made Olivia raise her head.

She found the sudden glow in those sparkling eyes, which was already rare to come across. “I know that your father wasn’t very fond of you.”

“Neither is he right now. But I have a business to handle so he was left with no other choice to make. And I didn’t keep my promise to find you, either it is an orphanage or..in real life.” Austin’s bringing back the promise only startled her heartbeat.

She had no clue but the messy emotions dismantled the guards and the walls he built over the time.

Moreover, the man she has loved for the very first time in her life..was sitting beside her.

But his few actions have already ended up hurting..making her make thousands of the scenes in her mind.

“B-but....you still sent me away...didn’t you?” Out of the blue, Olivia’s voice made Austin freeze.

He shifted his gaze from the place to look at the lady who was already resting her face down. “You mean to say, Lucas?”

“Who else will I even talk about?” Olivia commented when she felt the small smirk pulling on her lips. “Many things were messed up at that time because of this..”

“I was twenty-two, Olivia. I had aims.” Hearing this from his mouth made Olivia shake her head like she can’t agree with his words.

“So do I. I had the dream of living with you..doing the stuff, going to a better university, and at least living life...but you didn’t give anything like you promised, Austin.” The sudden truth from Olivia’s lips seemed unlikely to be denied.

And it was like this, for them it was hard to withdraw their eyes from each other.

Not like they cared but the sudden realization and mistakes of the past have ruined their lives to the next extent.

“I....I..had no realization at that time...”

“So do you have the realization of your inner feelings anymore or not?”
