The Invincible Full-Moon System-Chapter 1466 : You Disgust Me
"Let me go!"
"Garvain is the feudal lord of these two lands and the Arcalen House is a big deal. If you kill me, the last surviving member of Arcalen House, the Imperial Family will investigate and kill you. Even as monstrous as you are, you are nothing but ants in front of them!"
"You've made your point! I was mistaken to underestimate you so stop this! I can still recover!"
"Wh-What about the Nameless Dragon Arena? You need me to nominate you!"
"Our House's name came from our dragon lineage. Kill me and Arcalenta will come and kill you!"
Selvaris kept on begging and pleading.
Her emotions were a rollercoaster.
At one moment she was begging and in the next she was screaming threats at Rex.
Unsurprisingly enough, her will to survive was strong enough to keep going even in her condition.
But Rex ignored her completely.
No amount of begging and pleading could wash away what she did and changed her fate.
From the moment she refused to lower her pride and listen to him was the moment her life was forfeited.
Rex's heart was already stone cold regarding anything about her.
Along the way as Rex dragged Selvaris by the hair through the main pavilion's front yard, staining the white stone road with crimson, Selvaris' body stiffened as she could hear the painful, distant screams of her people.
Each one of them was so raw, so full of despair.
But she didn't feel guilt, sadness, or anything of that sort—she felt fearful as her death was approaching.
Soon, she would end up screaming like them and she doesn't want that.
Upon reaching the main street, Selvaris' blood ran cold at the sight of a street filled with fresh corpses.
Despite the black wind limiting her vision, she could see and smell the corpses.
Linthia has been massacring the rest while Amanir rounded up those who tried to escape.
Earlier, the Critical Ticket item he obtained from the System had settled on five times, and that meant in the next hour, the life energy that he or Linthia could absorb within the area would be multiplied five times, turning the entire area into a leveling area.
For Rex—any death would result in five times more Nightfall Stars.
He got a substantial boost in Nightfall Stars because of it.
And earlier, the Life Gem he devoured was also five times more powerful than it already was.
Absorbing that amount of life energy almost caused him to explode but with the help of the System's directions—Rex was able to alleviate the Red Dawn of Kaiser to the Immortal Spirit rank and store the excess life energy into its expanded reserve as well as his other two Soul Artifacts.
Had it not for his willpower, quickness, and the System's help—he would've exploded.
Normal or even exceptional spirits who attempted what he did would undoubtedly die.
At this moment, with the life energy stored inside of him—Rex was confident that he had enough.
Enough to push his other two Soul Artifacts to the Immortal Spirit rank as well.
But he postponed that as he would need to consider the Spirit Genesis for each one well.
His Red Dawn of Kaiser's Spirit Genesis, Inevitable Death is a rushed Spirit Genesis.
It has to make sense and be connected to the Soul Artifact as well as the Echo it was going to merge with.
The Dark Auctoritas Echo is supposed to be the Auctoritas Echo and there are several types of it but the one Rex has was the Dark-type. An Echo that works on dark commands, and it translated to the Inevitable Death Spirit Genesis' power well and amplified its power as the Spirit Genesis itself allowed him to cause inevitable damage up to death to anyone within a range.
Additionally, the Dark Auctoritas would make the Spirit Genesis even stronger if the target feared him.
Lacking a ranged attack, this was a good Spirit Genesis considering that it was rushed.
Even though Rex could still benefit—from killing the remaining people residing within the Dragna Sea, he reckoned Linthia needed them more so he allowed her to kill the rest. After all, he promised that he was going to aid her until she reached the Well of the Untold.
"Save the Lady!!"
"Fight! Kill the usurpers!!"
Rex glanced to his side and saw several citizens of Dragna Sea, charging at him fearlessly.
Seeing Selvaris' condition, armless—anger consumed them, dulling their instincts as these people failed to recognize the gap of strength between them and Rex. Inside, Rex applauded their loyalty but he didn't allow them to come close.
Swoosh!
Just a quick exposure of his aura, these people flattened into the ground—coughing blood.
Rex kept his eyes on them, keeping his murderous intent locked onto them until their bodies exploded.
Out of the ten citizens, all of them were killed by a mere glance from Rex.
Sighing lightly, he scanned the area and noticed the tallest building in Dragna Sea in front of him.
It was a tower.
He wasted no time and leaped high, landing on the tower's roof perfectly.
Once he was standing there, he placed Selvaris there to watch as her people called for help and scream.
Every corner of Dragna Sea has people panicking and screaming for a miracle to happen.
But nobody was coming to save them.
Though vague, she could still see her people being massacred.
Since the soldiers were all already dead, the rest were civilians—easy to kill.
"All these people, innocent lives lost—they weren't slain by me or my people. Their deaths are on you. As a ruler, you failed to recognize the threat I posed, and that failure cost you everything. Your house, your family, and your people," Rex muttered as he crossed his arms.
Considering that Selvaris ran, he expected her to not be disturbed by the sight.
After all, by running away—she abandoned her people.
But seeing the genuine disbelief and shock, Rex attributed it to her feeling something.
Or maybe, he was wrong entirely—she was only regretting that her sanctuary was now gone.
"Please..." she said weakly. "You've killed them all. Surely, their lives are worth enough to spare one, to spare me"
Upon hearing this, the veins in his neck bulged.
It seemed it was the latter.
He was wrong—Selvaris was only a self-centered and spineless woman.
Even though Selvaris wasn't going to survive this no matter what, she could choose her death, forcing Rex to kill her with her dignity intact. But with this, she chose to die a humiliating death. She was not but a rotten person outside and inside.
And for that, Rex was not going to pull back for her.
Just this one time, he was going to make it hurt.
"Yes, I think you're right. I can at least spare one," Rex answered with determination.
Selvaris snapped her head towards him, beaming with hope and anticipation.
But before she could even form a response, her world suddenly turned into a blur as she was pulled by the nape and slammed onto the wall of the topmost floor of the tower. She could feel her entire body rippled with pain as she desperately gasped for air.
"Unfortunately, you are not qualified to be spared," Rex said—as he stepped towards her slowly. "You failed to protect your people, causing the literal end of your House, and yet you still want to live? You… You disgust me"
Bam!
Rex, in his Human form, delivered a violent punch straight to her face.
The force of the punch rippled through her and slammed the back of her head to the wall, cracking it.
Not expecting this at all, Selvaris with one eye-socket sunken look—stared ahead in shock.
She couldn't believe she was now in this situation.
Rex has held back enough to hurt her but not kill her instantly as he already promised himself right when she showed no sign of decency that he was going to hurt her so badly. Raising his fist, freshly coated with her blood, his eyes narrowed, "At least Garvain and Istvan died honorably, fighting for the House but you… You're unfit to be a ruler"
Crash!
Another punch was delivered, this time knocking a few teeth from Selvaris' mouth.
Bam!
Her head snapped to the side as another swing crossed her face, cracking her cheekbone.
Bam!
Bam!
Bam!
Having both her arms severed, Selvaris couldn't do anything much less defend herself.
Each punch struck her face with enough force to hurt her but not enough to kill her.
At the eighth punch, her face was already deformed.
Another punch would end her but Rex doesn't want her to die, not yet.
Purchasing a powerful healing vial from the System, costing him 5,000 gold each, he forcefully made her drink it as her injuries healed rapidly. Realizing what he did, Selvaris wanted to say something but another punch broke her lower jaw.
"What good are you for if you can't even try and protect your people?!"
Bam!
"If you're not strong enough, get stronger!"
Bam!
"If the price is sacrifice, pay it! If the price is insanity, let it consume you!"
Bam!
"If the price is the death of others, kill them all!!"
In under a minute, Selvaris was back to how destroyed she was before the healing vial.
She couldn't even say anything as Rex kept punching him.
Almost as if he was using her as an outlet for his anger.
"Raargh!!"
BAM!
Rex's fist slammed into Selvaris' face, caving her entire face inward, and planted her head into the wall.
Slowly, he pulled his fist—strings of blood and snot decorating his knuckles.
Upon stepping back, Rex breathed heavily, still glaring down at Selvaris who lay on the brink of death, her face unrecognizable—shattered beyond repair. "What… What use are you," He growled between labored breaths. "iI you can't even protect them? What's the point of building a sanctuary if it's doomed to fall?"
Just as he said that he pursed his lips and got silent—both his fists clenched.
It took a moment of silence before he moved again.
Rex ripped Selvaris' entire clothes—stripping her down to her last piece of clothing.
He even ripped off her earrings for good measure.
Once she was completely naked, Rex lifted her up by the neck and took a couple of steps forward.
Brutally, he lifted her and stabbed her body into the finial.
Selvaris was impaled from the back—the finial's tip burst from her chest in a mist of blood.
If she still has hope to survive, she has none now.
Rex fed her a gulp of the healing vial once again, healing her enough to live longer.
Once he did that, he spat in disgust and turned around, "Die there slowly. I'll take your head later'
As he said that, he leaped down from the tower.
He left Selvaris to die a slow and painful death from bleeding out.
As soon as he landed, he looked around, "Now, where was he again? I don't remember killing him"
Istvan, Garvain, and Franklin died by his hands but he didn't remember killing Eiran.
Compared to the other members of the Arcalen House, Eiran was the only one—who was somewhat decent and Rex was going to spare him for that. For killing this many people, he opted to at least spare one and that person would be Eiran.
Just then, as he was about to search for Eiran—his eyes squinted.
On the other end of the street, Rex saw three silhouettes running past his vision.
Surely, those people were the surviving people, and eventually, Linthia would get them but he saw one weird silhouette—the silhouette at the very back was small and very familiar. Frowning, Rex dashed forward to check, and as he expected, that last silhouette was Kraken!
"Kraken! What the heck are you doing?!" Rex shouted.
For some reason, Kraken wasn't with Amanir and it was now chasing after the two people.

Hearing his voice, surprisingly, Kraken stopped and walked over to him.
It could only stand earlier and now it was able to run.
Rex watched as its little legs ran over to him.
Kraken stopped and raised both its tentacle arms up when he arrived in front of Rex.
"What in the…?" Rex frowned but when he checked Kraken's stat, he found that it was happy and also excited. Gore and blood were the first thing it saw and it was curious about it all. "Did you chase those two because you thought they were playing?"
As if it understood what Rex was saying, Kraken let out a soft coo and pointed at every direction.
Seeing this, Rex couldn't help but ask, "System, is there any language to understand it?"
<No, the System's Shop has no Voidal Monster baby language>
"Right… I'm reaching am I?" He muttered wryly, that was a stupid question.
