"Little sister, were you never sincere about letting your husband do that freight business from the start? You and your brother-in-law wanted to do it yourselves and pretended to ask if your husband would do it? If you really wanted your brother and me to do it, you wouldn’t have rushed to do it yourself after your husband refused!"

Guo Qiulan didn’t know what had come over her, but the words just slipped out in a heated moment. Su Yunjin listened to Guo Qiulan’s words and couldn’t help but laugh in anger.

"Pretend? Sister-in-law, in your eyes, my suggestion that big brother works at the docks was a pretense?" Before Guo Qiulan could answer, Su Yunjin chuckled coldly and said, "Sister-in-law, if I really didn’t want big brother to do the freight business at the docks, why would I bother pretending to ask? I could just not mention it at all. Would I still pretend to ask? Do you really think I have nothing better to do?"

Guo Qiulan was at a loss for words, and there was no taking back what had been said.

"Yun Niang, Sister-in-law was here today?" Gu Ya approached Su Yunjin.

Su Yunjin was fuming and didn’t feel like talking.

Gu Ya continued, "Yun Niang, tomorrow is the opening of big brother’s wonton shop. After breakfast, I’ll accompany you to their opening celebration."

"No, no, I won’t go tomorrow, and neither should you." Su Yunjin glared at Gu Ya, still upset by how much Guo Qiulan had affected her mood.
