The Hunter's Lively Wife-Chapter 2050: Weighing the Options
The food at Qin Lady’s restaurant was delicious. After Su Yunjin enjoyed the feast there, she bid farewell to Qin Lady and left the restaurant.
Gu Yan could tell that ever since his little wife started eating, there was something unusual about her expression. Although she hid it well, the attentive Gu Yan still noticed.
"Yun Niang, do you want to ask Qin Lady something? Isn’t that right?" It was obvious that the little wife had doubts about Qin Lady but was hiding them.
Su Yunjin was taken aback. Did Gu Yan actually know what she was thinking? She didn’t show any obvious signs, yet Gu Yan could still figure it out? That’s impressive!
Su Yunjin looked at Gu Yan in surprise. She did have a question for Qin Lady, but she couldn’t tell Gu Yan right now because even Su Yunjin herself found it unbelievable. If she told Gu Yan, he might not believe her and would probably think she was talking nonsense.
So, it’s better not to tell Gu Yan. Su Yunjin weighed it in her heart, then dryly laughed to cover up, "No... nothing, haha, what could I possibly want to ask Qin Lady? Haha, haha, husband, you’re definitely overthinking it." Su Yunjin did not admit it, fearing Gu Yan would press further, so she quickened her pace.
She walked forward nervously, not giving Gu Yan a chance to question her further.
Although Gu Yan knew his little wife was deliberately avoiding, since she didn’t want to talk, he let her be. He thought whatever she had on her mind wasn’t anything important, just trivial matters, so he let her not say anything.
Su Yunjin walked ahead, and after some distance, realizing Gu Yan hadn’t caught up, she instinctively turned around. As expected, Gu Yan was still standing where he was.
"Husband, let’s go, why are you standing there?"
Su Yunjin waved her hand at Gu Yan and added, "We’ve been out for a while, Little Yuanbao and the others are still on the boat, the first time they’ve been away this far, they must be unaccustomed without seeing us. We should hurry back to the boat to check on how the two kids are doing."
Su Yunjin guessed correctly, Little Tiangua and Little Yuanbao had been well-behaved at first under the care of the nanny and others, neither crying nor fussing.
However, after some time without seeing their mother, Little Tiangua started to feel a bit aggrieved.
The nanny and Aunt Bao tried to soothe the children, but Little Tiangua still wanted her mother. The little girl was crying pitifully, and even when the nanny tried to feed her, Little Tiangua refused.
The nanny was helpless, unable to calm the little master, who now wouldn’t drink milk.
Aunt Bao, seeing Little Tiangua crying so intensely, was at a loss as well. With both the master and mistress outside, she didn’t know when they would return.
Aunt Bao anxiously looked out from the front of the boat and finally saw the returning mistress and master.
Aunt Bao’s heart lifted with joy, and she hurriedly ran over.
"Madam, Sir, you’re finally back. The little ones are fussy for some reason. The nanny couldn’t soothe them."
The sounds of Little Tiangua crying came from the cabin, making Su Yunjin’s heart tighten, fearing the children might cry, and without delay, she quickly headed into the boat cabin.
Seeing Su Yunjin was like seeing a savior for the nanny, who happily handed Little Tiangua over.
"Give the child to me!" Su Yunjin took the child from the nanny’s hands.
