Jia Li was about to drink from the bottle after Fu Hee uncapped it for her when YingPei called out ‘brother’ from their left direction.

Jia Li didn’t drink the water again, she pushed it back to her mother-in-law and wanted to run to her light in shining armor, but Fu Hua was faster than her.

He saw her crying from a distance and felt a sting in his heart. His wife looked really miserable. All the anger he felt before he saw her in that state, disappeared into thin air.

Jia Li fell into his arms and hugged in tightly while crying out louder. If not for her baby bump getting in the way, she would have squeezed him to death.

”Fu Hua, Da Xia is in the emergency room! it’s all my fault, I shouldn’t have left her all alone!” Jia Li blamed herself one more time.

Fu Hua sighed and tried to comfort her by patting her back. How could he bear to show his own emotions when she was already in that state?

One thing for sure is that she would never stop blaming herself, and the right thing to do was to let go of his emotions for the time being and not show them to her.

”Sweetheart, our daughter will be fine okay? Stop crying nothing will happen to her.” Fu Hua said while weaving his hand through her hair, and rubbing her back with the other.

”It’s good that you are here, please make her stop crying and give her some water.” Fu Hee said with relief in her tone, but her look showed that she had so many things to worry about.

Fu Hua released Jia Li from the hug, but she held him tighter. “Please don’t let me go, I just want to be in your arms!” She said as she slowly rested her cheek on his chest.

She felt so comforted being in his arms, and she felt more reassured seeing him there. She felt everything was going to be better now.

Since she begged him, Fu Hua let her stay there, but he didn’t just comfort her, he shifted his gaze to his mother and younger brother to ask about what happened.

”What happened?”

Fu Hee briefly explained all she knew, and Fu Hua was enraged having to hear that Lanying purposely poisoned his daughter.

Because Jia Li was very sensitive at this moment, Fu Hua was trying to be very careful by holding down his outburst.

If he saw Lanying right now, he wouldn’t promise to let her go until she takes her final breath while strangling her neck with his bare hands.

YingPei who hadn’t said a word spoke up, “I think Lanying is very weird. She knows the consequences of her actions, yet still went ahead to do it, it’s like she is tired of living.”

”Fu Juan is to blame for all of these! They were supposed to leave tomorrow, are you sure she is not a part of this?” Fu Hee said with a glare.

”Maybe Lanying did this because we did not welcome her properly or show any special care towards her,” YingPei said.

Fu Hee snorted and threw her face to the side, she was too furious to continue speaking.

”Whatever reason she has, it’s not valid. I’m going home as soon as I finish speaking with the doctor, I have some problems to take care of.” Fu Hua said with a dangerous gaze.

Right then, Fu ChuHua’s call came in on YingPei’s phone. She tried calling Fu Hee’s line, but it turned out that she forgot her phone at home, because it’s been ringing and no one was picking it up.

Fu ChuHua called to find out how Jasmine was and if the treatment has started, on behalf of the family, while also dropping off an idea of what was going on in the house.

Fu Lei was hitting Lanying with his whip.

”He shouldn’t stop, it would be good if he flogged her death!” Fu Hee said in response, but YingPei quickly took his phone from her.

”No, he shouldn’t kill her, that would be too easy…” Fu Hia said just before YingPei hung up.

”What do you plan to do?” Fu Hee asked with a curious gaze directed at him.

”Mum, you and YingPei should take care of things here, I will go and settle the score at home,” Fu Hua said with his gazes on them, whole releasing Jia Li from his embrace.

”Please stay here with me!” Jia Li pleaded. She didn’t care if Lanying was flogged to death, she just wanted his primary family with her.

Fu Hua took out a handkerchief from his pocket and used it to wipe her tears, before making her best on the padded seat. Next, he made her drink some water before handing her over to his mother.

”I will make this quick and come back to you,” Fu Hua said and kissed her forehead before leaving.

Jia Li could only watch him leave in anguish. She knew that he had already made up his mind, and there would be no use trying to stop him.

Before leaving the hospital, Fu Hua spoke to the doctor who told him that Jasmine would be fine.

”This is her first time going through this kind of pain, so it’s going to take a toll on her. This night, she would be better, and by tomorrow evening, we can send her home if everything is perfect!”

The doctors had to flush out the banana and milk in her system, by making it digest fast, so she could pass it away through stooling.

Also, a pain relief drug was given to her, through the drip attached to her vein. This will help to relieve her pain.
