The Herb King-Chapter 279 - Training Progress
279 Training Progress
Aenwyn led the surrendered elves to regroup with Ramiel and the others.
“Miss Aenwyn, are you alright?” Ramiel asked worriedly. Aenwyn has been gone for quite some time and he was nervously waiting for her signal.
Aenwyn nodded her head and muttered solemnly. “I’m fine. These elves are willing to follow us back to the Barden Territory. They are my people so I hope that you guys will respect them.”
Ramiel stared at the elves behind her when he heard this. He noticed that among the elves who surrendered, four of them emitted unfathomable auras. The beautiful white-haired elf standing beside Aenwyn exuded the strongest aura among them. His pupils constricted when he sensed this. ‘Level 5 Espers!’
The 100 elite human soldiers were also shocked by the strength of the elves, but they were happy that they had surrendered. If they join the Lassiter Household, their power would increase once again!
“Yes, Miss Aenwyn!” Ramiel answered in a loud voice. Aenwyn’s status in the Lassiter Household was just the same as his. However, everything would soon change after today. With the addition of these elves, Aenwyn’s authority in the Lassiter Household was bound to increase!
Aenwyn turned her gaze at the tree castle behind them before walking side by side with Ramiel.
“That human seems to be someone of high status. Who is he?” Queen Irithel whispered while pointing her chin to Ramiel.
With his strength, Ramiel could clearly hear her words, but he pretended that he didn’t hear anything. This woman who looked almost identical to Aenwyn was a Level 5 Esper and he didn’t want to offend her.
.....
Aenwyn stared speechlessly at her mother and replied. “This person is General Ramiel. He is one of King Aethelwolf’s strongest subordinates. His level might be weaker than mine, but his combat prowess is above Lucia’s.”
Hearing this, Queen Irithel was slightly surprised. Lucia was a peak stage Level 4 Esper and she could even withstand a blow from a Level 5 Esper. However, her daughter actually said that the human possessed combat power that was stronger than Lucia!
“Interesting...” Queen Irithel muttered with an intrigued look on her face.
Meanwhile, inside the tree castle, Callon was staring at Aenwyn who was leading the elves and humans. He had a complicated look on his face. “My dear little sister, I hope you live well. Your big brother will take care of things here...”
Callon was an extremist and he loathed the humans. He was against the idea of forming an alliance with them. That was also why he had plotted a rebellion against the Queen. He believed that he could lead the elves to glory even without the help of the humans. However, he was beginning to doubt if everything he had done was right.
Now that the three Elders had left, the Aracan Kingdom had lost their most formidable force. Their future was uncertain.

A few days later.
In the training grounds of the Barden Territory, the five young elites were now being trained by Fast Sword. They were sweating profusely as they continuously struck their weapons at the training dummies in front of them.
“Don’t stop! You have to preserve your world essence until ten more minutes! If this was on the battlefield, you guys would have already been killed! You must learn how to effectively use your world essence!” Fast Sword shouted in a stern voice.
Among the five young elites, Alec Ward showed the most remarkable abilities. Although his talent wasn’t the best among the five of them, his perseverance and willpower drove him into exceeding everyone! Please visit 𝐟𝘳ℯ𝚎𝘄𝒆𝑏𝗻𝑜ѵ𝚎l. c𝘰𝑚
After ten minutes, Fast Sword raised his hand and shouted. “Stop! You guys can take a thirty-minute break.” He then left the training grounds without looking back.
As soon as he left, the five young elites slumped weakly to the ground.
“This is so exhausting!” Christopher Leone complained.
“It is, but our strength has been increasing by leaps and bounds. We also receive the best resources and the strongest weapons as practice materials. We have nothing to complain about.” Michael Singler said as he wiped off the dust on the blade of his spear.
As they chatted, only Alec Ward didn’t say anything. The training might be exhausting for the others, but to him, it was an opportunity to become stronger! They have only been training for a few days, but his strength was already at the late stage of Level 2. He was confident that he could reach Level 3 within a month if the training continues.
“Alec, I want to spar with you!”
Alec furrowed his eyebrows as he stared at Janrose. This woman challenged him every single day, but because of the huge difference in their strength and experience, she would always end up losing. However, Alec sensed that Janrose was slowly shortening the gap between them. She was already at the mid stage of Level 2 and her combat experience was also rich.
He heard from the others that Janrose had joined the training of Aethelwolf’s army and she even participated in the cleansing of the large bandit groups!
Other than her, the remaining three also showed remarkable talents. They had already broken through to Level 2.
“You’re still not my match!” Alec muttered coldly as he shook his head.
“Enough nonsense and fight me!” Janrose unsheathed her sword and pointed her blade at Alec in a taunting manner.
Alec knew that he couldn’t escape this challenge so he pulled out his sword and said. “Make your move!”
Janrose grinned as she jumped towards Alec while slashing her sword. She sent large streams of world essence on her sword, making it even more powerful!
Alec calmly watched her and the moment her blade was about to cut him in half, he raised his sword and blocked her attack.
Clang!
The two exchanged dozens of moves in the blink of an eye with no clear victor.
Meanwhile, Grace Urgel and the other two were looking at the scene with interest.
“I’ll bet ten gold cards on Alec.” Christopher chuckled as he grabbed ten gold cards from his storage ring.
Michael gritted his teeth and took out ten gold cards as he said. “Ten gold cards on Janrose.”
Seeing this, Grace shook her head in silence.
