The Happy Farmer Wanderer-Chapter 262 About the Girlfriend Thing_1
Li Qing dropped Guan Lin off at her home but didn’t go inside.
On the way back, Guan Lin had had her way with him, and she looked somewhat peculiar when she got out of the car.
In such a situation, Li Qing didn’t dare to follow her in.
When he got home, only Tian Yue’e was there, hanging Wenguan Leaves in his house; Han Mei was not there.
Li Qing tiptoed over and slapped Tian Yue’e’s peach-like bottom hard.
"Stop it!"
Tian Yue’e turned her head and softly scolded him, her eyes as tender as a spring breeze.
Seeing Tian Yue’e like that, the excitement tormented by Guan Lin on the way instantly surged back into Li Qing’s heart.
He stepped forward and gently embraced Tian Yue’e, his head nudging toward the trembling pair in the middle.
Tian Yue’e gently pushed Li Qing away, giggling, "Don’t be naughty."
"I want you!" Li Qing said in a muffled voice.
Holding Tian Yue’e’s soft body, the fiery passion in his heart immediately boiled uncontrollably.
"Not today," Tian Yue’e rejected Li Qing’s eager invitation, "Your sister-in-law told me to tell you to hurry to the store as soon as you get back. Besides, I still have a lot of work to do here, and later at home, there’s a pile of things waiting!"
"Once that picky sister of mine comes back, ah, I’ll no longer be able to enjoy my freedom," Li Qing recalled suddenly that Tian Yue’e’s sister had finished her extra lessons and had come back.
They say children from poor families take on responsibilities early, and Tian Yue’e’s sister is definitely a study fanatic.
Others have been on holiday for a long time, but what about her? After school extra classes ended, she spent most of her vacation taking more lessons.
"Fine, I’ll take two bites then," Li Qing insisted relentlessly.
Tian Yue’e chuckled, unamused, and began to unbutton her neckline, "You really want it that much today?"
Li Qing nodded vigorously.
He had been tormented by Guan Lin the whole trip and could no longer bear it.
"Let’s go inside," Tian Yue’e said, resigned, "but let’s get one thing clear, you can only have two bites, and that’s it. You can’t do anything else; I’m truly busy today."
Li Qing nodded obediently.
Inside, Tian Yue’e nourished Li Qing with a very generous posture, then pushed him out of the room.
Not allowing it to go any further.
Li Qing knew what mattered and didn’t continue to insist stubbornly.
But having nibbled a few bites of Tian Yue’e’s fullness only fanned the flames, rather than calming them.
Li Qing scratched his head in frustration, turned around, and headed for the store.
He wondered why Han Mei was in such a hurry to see him.
When he arrived at the store, Wu Xingxing wasn’t there; only Han Mei was tending the shop.
As Li Qing entered, Han Mei was diligently wiping the counter with a cloth.
Since Auntie Caili left, the place had basically changed completely.
Han Mei and Wu Xingxing liked to keep things tidy, and as fans of little touches of freshness, they had a liking for planting flowers and greenery.
Although the main items in the store’s interior were still the same old ones, they made it extra cozy with their arrangement.
"Sister-in-law, what happened?" Li Qing asked as he entered.
Han Mei turned around, hopped off the stool, and said, "Go see Wu Xingxing."
"What’s wrong with her?" Li Qing asked.
"She got heatstroke," Han Mei said.
"Heatstroke?" Li Qing was a bit dazed, "With heatstroke, resting for a while should be fine, right? What’s the big deal?"
"It’s pretty serious. She’s been vomiting and having diarrhea and even fainted several times." Han Mei pointed towards the big willow tree outside, "That girl works too hard. On such a hot day, she flattened the ground outside all by herself, cleaned up all the clutter, and even decorated the willow tree. In the end, she exhausted herself to the point of collapse."
"She’s your girlfriend now, you should go see her, show some more concern!"
Li Qing’s face changed quietly as he called out in a deep voice, "Sister-in-law!"
"If you hadn’t said ’girlfriend,’ I might have gone to see her. But now that you’ve mentioned it, forget it."
Han Mei’s almond-shaped eyes glared fiercely, "What nonsense are you spouting now?"
"I only acknowledge you!" Li Qing declared, his neck stiff.
He naturally had a favorable impression of Wu Xingxing in his heart.
But if he really had to choose between the two, he would definitely choose Han Mei.
There was no doubt about it; he would make that choice without any hesitation.
Han Mei stared at Li Qing and sighed softly, "Didn’t I already settle this with you?"
"I don’t care, I’m just stubborn like that," Li Qing said, shaking his head.
"Fine, I won’t talk about it anymore, okay? You two figure it out yourselves," Han Mei said helplessly, "I can be your secret lover, doomed not to be acknowledged publicly. That’s just how it is."
"It’s all a matter of effort. As long as you can untangle that knot in your heart, everything is possible!" Li Qing said in a deep voice.
"Alright, let’s talk about this another time," Han Mei conceded, unable to continue the conversation with Li Qing.
Li Qing stood there headstrong, like an angry young bull, countering with silence.
Han Mei glared at Li Qing a few times, then suddenly smiled gently, "Go have a look. Even if it doesn’t work out, you should still go see her."
"Alright, I’ll go have a look," Li Qing said, extremely reluctantly.
"Hurry, go, even if it’s just on my behalf," Han Mei urged, "Take these fruits with you."
Li Qing had no choice but to pick up the gifts prepared by Han Mei and head towards Yu Lan’s house.
Han Mei had once again brought up the girlfriend topic, which made his heart quite conflicted.
As for future matters, he truly had no plans at all in his heart.
Truth be told, he felt quite lost.
But Li Qing also didn’t want to disrupt the current situation so soon.
Once he had a girlfriend, many things would definitely change as a result.
Yu Lan’s front gate was wide open. Li Qing stood in the courtyard and called out several times, but nobody responded.
With a sense of confusion in his heart, Li Qing went straight upstairs.
He first went to Yu Lan’s bedroom. The door was open, but there was no one inside.
Only then did he circle around to the opposite bedroom.
On the big bed, Wu Xingxing was sleeping soundly, her complexion rosy and her cheeks flushed.
Apparently hearing Li Qing’s footsteps, she slowly opened her eyes, "Huh, what brings you here?"
"I came to see how you’re doing. You’re home alone, sleeping, why is the front door wide open?" Li Qing asked.
"Is my godmother not here?" Wu Xingxing asked weakly.
"I didn’t see anyone downstairs." Li Qing set down the things in his hands and sat down beside the bed.
Wu Xingxing propped herself up and sat up, "She must have gone to get medicine, then. The village doctor came by earlier, and I vaguely heard something about getting a prescription."
"How are you feeling right now? How can heatstroke get so severe?" Li Qing asked.
"I’m just physically weak, and these past few days have been... well, my body hasn’t been feeling too well," Wu Xingxing suddenly blushed as she spoke.
