Chapter 106: Chapter 106 The Acquirer_1

"The nearby villages, sister-in-law and Yue’er, just take some time to collect, many households around here have planted Wenguan Trees. Even though grasshopper legs don’t have much meat, it’s still meat," Li Qing said.

"Just the two of us going?" Han Mei felt somewhat nervous.

She now understood what good and bad Wenguan Leaves looked like.

Yet, this business, being four hundred yuan per jin, made her feel somewhat uneasy when doing it.

A casual shortfall of one or two liang, that’s tens of yuan gone.

Even Tian Yue’e, who was more capable of stirring things up than Han Mei, felt worried upon hearing this, "This isn’t like buying vegetables, are we up to it? If we mess up, we could lose a lot."

"We won’t lose, as long as the scale is accurate and the accounts are correct, there’s nothing to lose," Li Qing confidently said, "Just go ahead and do it boldly, you both know very well what Wenguan Leaves should look like."

"Okay then, we’ll give it a try," Han Mei said, "There really are quite a few people around here who have planted Wenguan Trees, though each household only has one or two trees, it should add up to quite a bit when collected."

"In the future, you two will be the big and little boss ladies, haha." Li Qing laughed, teasing them on purpose.

"So who’s the big one and who’s the little one?" Tian Yue’e asked with a smile and a playful raise of her eyebrows.

This was a question that sought to provoke.

Han Mei pinched Tian Yue’e at the waist and pretended to be annoyed, "Obviously, you’re the little one, do you still want to be the big one? Are you trying to revolt?"

"A palace maid who doesn’t aspire to become the queen will always be a useless maid," Tian Yue’e laughed.

Li Qing smiled knowingly, his eyes full of contentment.

Perhaps it wouldn’t take too long before the three of them could live together. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎

Just the thought was exciting.

The reputations of Han Mei and Tian Yue’e in the village were not good, in fact, they were pretty bad.

Letting them manage the purchase of nearby Wenguan Leaves might also change their reputations a bit.

Villagers were especially prone to disdain poverty and love wealth, and their opinions could change faster than anyone’s if they saw benefits.

"You’re in such a state that you can hardly take care of yourself, so here’s what we’ll do: for the next few days, apart from sleeping, you’ll come to my place for everything else, and I’ll take care of you," Han Mei said, looking at the haphazardly wrapped bandages on Li Qing and sighed.

Moved, Li Qing said, "Sister-in-law, why don’t you just stay over at my place? It would be more convenient."

"How could that be appropriate? If someone saw, who knows what they might say," Han Mei shook her head.

Seeing an opportunity, Tian Yue’e interjected, "If you don’t come, then I will. I’m really good at taking care of people."

"With your two mouths? From so far away, what would you come for? I should be the one to go," Han Mei said with a flush on her face.

Li Qing’s eyes suddenly brightened, "Why don’t you both come? The more people, the merrier, and that way there’s less room for gossip."

"I think that’s a good idea," Tian Yue’e fully supported the notion with both hands.

Han Mei blushed and glanced sideways at Li Qing, nodding her head.

She knew all too well Li Qing’s little schemes.

"I’ll go and get dinner ready. You little flirt, go pick some vegetables from your family’s garden," Han Mei said as she got up, swaying her hips.

"As you command, boss lady, haha."

Tian Yue’e left, laughing playfully.

After a pleasant dinner together, Han Mei and Tian Yue’e each went back to their own homes.

This left Li Qing deeply disappointed; they had agreed to stay over.

As a result, everyone had left after dinner.

The next day.

Fresh morning light had just spilled through the window when Li Qing got out of bed.

The wound on his body was no longer as painfully obvious, but it still felt somewhat uncomfortable.

He carelessly washed his face with his only functioning right hand, and after preparing himself a bit of breakfast, Li Qing strolled into his neighbor Yang Xuelan’s house.

As soon as he entered, he saw Yang Xuelan bending over with her plump, pert behind as she washed her face in the yard, her full breasts shaking precariously in front of Li Qing.

It seemed she had just woken up and hadn’t had time to change clothes, nor put on a bra.

When she bent down, her loose nightgown could hardly contain those two full mounds, a patch of white as smooth and sleek as stalactites hung shockingly in front of him.

Only the gap in the middle had widened considerably.

Through the gap amid the whiteness, Li Qing could even see the edge of Yang Xuelan’s pajama bottoms.

"Hey, you scared the life out of me, when did you get here?"

The moment Yang Xuelan stood up to wipe her face and spotted Li Qing, the two full mounds before her quivered slightly.

"Just got here, not too long ago," Li Qing said, his gaze still fixed on the abundant fullness.

On her milky white nightgown, those two little nipples protruded quite noticeably.

Yang Xuelan noticed where Li Qing’s eyes were and quickly gestured towards the main room, chiding softly, "We’re at home, what are you looking at all crazy like that, your nerve is really getting more and more... Hey, what happened to your arm?"

"Not much nerve to speak of, someone ambushed me."

Li Qing said with a smile, and swiftly grabbed a handful of Yang Xuelan’s fullness with his hand.

"Tsk, stop fooling around," Yang Xuelan stepped back and asked, "What happened to you? Is it serious?"

"Got stabbed a few times, not very serious though," Li Qing replied.

"Did Hu Youyu do this?" Yang Xuelan asked with a stern tone.

Li Qing’s eyelids slightly drooped, he nodded, then briefly explained what had happened yesterday.

"It’s not a big deal, though the wound might look serious. The result it brought about is quite worth it," Li Qing said.

After listening, Yang Xuelan was so shocked that she repeatedly patted her trembling chest, "This is too dangerous, there were knives involved and you say it’s not a big deal. You’re only able to say that now, I don’t believe you weren’t afraid at the time. No matter what, it’s good that you’re okay. You can’t be this reckless next time."

Li Qing smiled and nodded, "Has Gao Li woken up yet?"

Yang Xuelan’s expression became warily alert, and in a very low voice she said, "Don’t get any wrong ideas, we’ll find another chance in the future."

She clearly misunderstood that Li Qing wanted to get involved with her right then and there.

Li Qing chuckled and spoke, "I have something to discuss with Gao Li, not that. I definitely still know right from wrong."

Yang Xuelan gave Li Qing a flirtatious glance and whispered in a voice only the two of them could hear, "You really almost scared me to death, I thought you wanted to do something with me while he’s still not up!"

"After so many times, not succeeding even once, it really bothers me. But looking at you now, I guess I’ll have to wait a bit more. That useless Gao Li, it’s like tickling when he’s inside, only makes me feel uncomfortable."

"Speaking of which, what do you want with Gao Li..."

Li Qing: ...

Yang Xuelan’s grievances seem to run quite deep.
