The Grants: Choosing One Between The Two-Chapter 197: Harrison Sterling Really Has Feelings for Yvette Aston
"What’s going on? Where’s the pianist?" A small problem arose at the wedding venue.
At a grand family wedding like this, everything is supposed to go off without a hitch.
But they had invited a renowned pianist, who unfortunately had a sudden heart attack and was rushed to the hospital.
"What should we do, does anyone here know how to play the piano? Searching for one now will probably be too late, the newlyweds will pass through here soon, there’s a shower of flowers; if no one plays the piano live, I’m afraid..."
Seeing everyone anxious, the guests were also bewildered.
The attendees were from the business circle, the entertainment industry, and the modeling circle, mostly accompanying big names and influential figures.
However, the piano piece was quite difficult, and they were also afraid of ruining the wedding. After all, it’s not easy to play fluently just by sight-reading.
The bride seemed a bit anxious too, as the planned segment went awry. Playing the piano piece seemed to make her wedding less perfect.
"Should I give it a try?" Yvette Aston thought the bride was a nice person and softly asked.
"Can you do it? Don’t ruin someone’s wedding if you can’t." Someone expressed doubt.
"Who is she? Who brought her here?"
"Seems like Ethan..."
"I’ve heard she’s just an assistant. Can she even play the piano?"
Yvette Aston didn’t speak; she simply wanted to help the bride.
"I trust you, give it a try." The bride pulled Yvette Aston to the piano.
Yvette Aston glanced over the sheet music, placed her long, beautiful fingers on the piano, and gently pressed the keys.
Feeling the sound was not quite right, Yvette Aston stood up to check the piano strings.
"The sound isn’t right, let me adjust it." Yvette Aston spoke softly.
"Can she really do it?"
"Heh... I bet she’s just making excuses because she can’t."
Yvette Aston ignored the gossip, remembering how she learned to repair pianos during her time in prison.
After adjusting the sound, Yvette Aston sat back in the chair.
In reality, Yvette Aston was very grateful to the Aston Family, who cultivated her with great care without knowing her true identity.
Yvette Aston was indeed a rare genius, not only with exceptional memory but strong artistic talent as well.
The piano sounded crisp as her graceful fingers began to move over the keys.
The melodious piano music wafted out.
On the other side, Ethan Grant paused amidst his conversation and instinctively turned to look at the piano.
Yvette Aston sat elegantly at the piano, playing with poise and radiance.
Elsewhere, Harrison Sterling and Sean Sterling also stared dazedly at Yvette Aston.
She really has many points of brilliance, doesn’t she?
"Bro, isn’t this a slap in the face?" Sean Sterling teased Harrison Sterling. "Who said Ethan Grant only fell for Yvette Aston’s looks, calling her just a pretty face?"
Harrison Sterling snorted, saying nothing, but his gaze never left Yvette Aston.
Indeed, there was a strange charm about Yvette Aston that continually drew the sight of the three Sterling brothers.
Harrison Sterling had to admit he was genuinely interested in Yvette Aston.
"Who is she exactly? A domestic celebrity? Looks like she came with Ethan Grant." The guests all inquired.
"Mommy! That’s my mommy!" Baron gleefully jumped around, pointing to Yvette Aston, claiming she was his mommy.
The guests were dumbfounded, the mother of the Sterling Family’s young grandson?
The woman who gave birth to a child for the Sterling Family and then disappeared?
Impressive, indeed...
A woman connected both to the Sterling Family and Ethan Grant, truly no ordinary person.
The wedding concluded perfectly, as the bride and groom gradually proceeded to the altar amidst Yvette Aston’s piano music.
Yvette Aston watched the couple with blurry vision, feeling a deep sense of bitterness.
It’s impossible not to envy.
What woman doesn’t hope to walk into marriage with the one she loves?
It’s the happiest and most beautiful moment in a woman’s life...
When the groom kissed the bride, Yvette Aston averted her gaze, trying hard not to cry.
She guessed she’d never have a wedding in this lifetime.
At some point, Ethan Grant appeared behind Yvette Aston and wrapped her in his arms. "How many more skills do I not know about, hm?"
Yvette Aston smiled lightly. "Nothing... just happened to know how to play the piano."
"Oh? I think you might be a genius..." Ethan Grant held Yvette Aston tightly. "Your learning ability is so strong, maybe consult Holly Ziegler more."
"..." Yvette Aston’s ears reddened, and she instinctively replied, "Why don’t you learn?"
After speaking, Yvette Aston was so terrified she nearly collapsed, realizing she’d truly been spoiled by Ethan Grant, daring to suggest her sponsor should learn those things.
Ethan Grant squinted dangerously, saying, "Are you accusing me of not trying hard enough?"
Yvette Aston stammered in fright. "No, no, that’s not what I meant."
Laughing softly, Ethan Grant took Yvette Aston’s hand and left.
The wedding concluded perfectly, the bride immensely grateful to Ethan Grant and Yvette Aston, even gifting Yvette Aston with a super-luxe souvenir before departing.
Yvette Aston was thrilled, her first time receiving a souvenir at someone else’s wedding.
"The bride is so thoughtful." On the way back, Yvette Aston couldn’t help but open the souvenir, finding gifts carefully chosen by the bride.
"For your wedding, what kind of souvenirs are you planning to select for your friends?" Ethan Grant held Yvette Aston’s fingers, squeezing them gently, observing them closely.
These hands were so slender, the rings needed custom designer creation.
Squeezing Yvette Aston’s left ring finger for a while, Ethan Grant sent the measurements and photos of Yvette Aston’s fingers to a renowned jewelry designer.
"These hands are so beautiful," the designer replied in shock.
"My beloved," Ethan Grant replied proudly.
"Leave it to me," the designer signaled OK.
"Get me a design within a month; once I decide, expedite making the rings; I plan to propose with them," Ethan Grant quickly typed.
He wanted to formally propose to Yvette Aston once the marriage news was public.
"Designing will take some time, give me two months," the designer pleaded.
"Hasten," Ethan Grant replied before closing the phone interface and handing the phone to Yvette Aston.
Today, during the wedding, he saw yearning in Yvette Aston’s eyes.
For some reason, anything Yvette Aston desired, he wanted to give her.
Even if she wished for stars from the sky, he’d find a way to get them.
Maybe it was true love.
Previously, Ethan Grant didn’t understand what it felt like to love someone.
Turns out, loving someone is favoritism, boundless favoritism, trust, wanting to give her the best of everything, believing she deserves the very best.
Yvette Aston’s past was beyond his ability to make up for or join in, but her future life, he wanted to protect her always.
Ethan Grant knew Yvette Aston had suffered many hardships and grievances and wanted to heal her scars and bring her happiness.
As long as Yvette Aston was willing to give him this chance.
Ethan Grant was actually scared, afraid of the truth from six years ago...
If the person that night really was him, once Yvette Aston found out, she would surely run away.
