The Goddess is Sweet and Aloof-Chapter 1092 - 1088: Choices
Chapter 1092: Chapter 1088: Choices
Qiao Xiaren’s schedule wasn’t lacking, and with Weini paying special attention, Guemov considered assigning her a few more dedicated staff members, making things like filming and other engagements more convenient.
The reason Guemov asked Qiao Xiaren to wait was undoubtedly because of these staffing arrangements.
Unexpectedly, during this time, Fang Yun came over to inform her about shooting a commercial together.
Fang Yun wasn’t considered a top-tier actress in S Country, but it seemed like someone had always been looking out for her, so her resources were decent, though she hadn’t won any awards.
The entertainment industry nowadays is nothing like it was years ago. Having someone to back you is a good thing—resources will keep flooding in, and this will help build a considerable fan base. However, it doesn’t guarantee winning any influential awards.
Fang Yun was one of those people.
After all, awards with high value require public recognition. Once the audience stops buying into it, the award essentially becomes meaningless. Hence, award committees are very cautious, scoring actors across various aspects to eventually select a winner everyone is satisfied with.
Looking at it now, the forces behind Fang Yun were still impressive; they managed to get her an opportunity to appear in commercials, which wasn’t easy. Louis DIO was already a top-tier brand, and shooting commercials for the brand was always a hot topic for media outlets, bound to lead to a wave of overwhelming coverage.
Seeing Qiao Xiaren’s puzzled expression, Fang Yun smiled and nodded, "Yes, I’m just going to shoot an ad. Of course, it’s nothing compared to you, the brand ambassador. I really envy you; getting such great resources right away."
She considered herself to have started at the same level as Qiao Xiaren, yet Xiaren had already had a representational work in M Country. Although it was a supporting role, she had been under the spotlight quite a bit lately.
Qiao Xiaren didn’t want to continue this facade of a conversation with her. Fortunately, at that moment, Guemov arrived, followed by Annie and Yunduo, along with a few M Country individuals of varying appearances.
During Xiaren’s time back home, Annie and Yunduo had essentially had nothing to do and felt like they were on the verge of rotting from boredom.
"Xiaren, you’re finally back," Yunduo said with a bitter smile. Being an assistant to a celebrity was like this: when it was busy, you wished you had eight hands; when it was quiet, you wished you could find something—anything—to do.
"Hello, I’m Alice, your personal stylist and dresser." The young woman with long, slightly wavy hair was stylishly dressed, her finely drawn eyebrows remarkably lively. She extended a hand, "Looking forward to working together."
Qiao Xiaren smiled, stepped forward to shake her hand, and then met the girl next to her; this must be her makeup artist.
"Alright, let’s start by giving Xiaren a light makeup look," Guemov glanced at his watch. "The car is already waiting at the company entrance. We have, at most, one hour. Let’s get to work."
With a swoosh, the crowd dispersed to begin their tasks, leaving Fang Yun standing there alone, her expression slightly awkward, as if she were the most idle one among them.
Guemov didn’t have the time to pay her any mind, hurriedly inspecting the outfit Qiao Xiaren was about to wear, while juggling other matters related to different engagements.
Forty minutes later, Qiao Xiaren was ready.
Guemov didn’t have the luxury of appreciating his own artist. Instead, he quickly gathered a few staff members, who surrounded Qiao Xiaren as they exited the company doors.
Today’s shoot for the Louis DIO brand was a series of seaside photos. Reportedly, these featured a breezy collection of dresses designed by Miles, inspired by the sea, and one of the dresses had won first prize at Miles’ spring-summer haute couture competition last year.
At midday, the seaside was exposed to intense sunlight.
Various photographers and lighting technicians were already adjusting their equipment. Qiao Xiaren changed into the dress, her light chestnut-colored long hair billowing gently in the ocean breeze.
