THE GOD EATER-Chapter 196: Scheming Amelia
As she spoke, she made sure to press down with her foot even harder, so Greg screamed louder than ever. This double infliction of physical and psychological pain brought a smile to her face. She relished the sight of him writhing in pain beneath her impotently.
She was in a good mood as she said, "That Amelia girl did me a great favor. But what did she want in exchange? She only wanted a favor from me and the pleasure of knowing that you know that this was all caused by her."
"She wanted me to tell you that she planned all of this and that you fell into her bait. Apparently, she knew that you had a mutated Floating Furnace all along, but hadn’t bothered to make use of that information because she needed you."
"Unfortunately for you, you didn’t know this. If you knew that she was onto you, you wouldn’t have pissed her off as you did."
She cackled as she said, "Once you pissed her off, she knew that asking you to come to her to plead your case would make you run away for your dear life. So that 24 hours of grace that she gave you was to set you up."
Then he laughed as she said, "Can you imagine that?"
Greg had finally had enough and was ready to talk. He opened his mouth and shouted at her, saying, "Fuck you."
His words made her click her tongue in displeasure and say, "There is no need to be crass about this. We can do this the easy way or the hard way. There is no reason to take the hard way when this can be easy for both of us."
In response, Greg said, "Fuck you, bitch." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
So she snorted and said, "Fine. Be that way."
She decided to get on with it, seeing as the other party was so eager to die. So, the next second, the mark on her head expanded into a bright glowing circle.
The glowing circle of light expanded out of her head and fell onto Greg’s squirming body like a blanket. Greg resisted by attacking the glowing circle with birds of fire, but everything he threw at the glowing circle was swallowed.
It was as if he were attacking a lake of water. The lake only rippled slightly as it submerged everything that fell into it.
Eventually, even Greg fell into the glowing circle. His body shrank as he was swallowed by the glowing circle. It was as if he had fallen into that lake of water and was slowly drowning.
As he was being submerged into the glowing blanket of energy and force, he screamed at the lady, saying, "Fuck you. Fuck Amelia. Fuck Loki. Fuck everyone and fuck this world."
He cursed and cursed everyone and everything he knew until his voice grew hoarse.
He had initially planned that when he was about to die, he would expose the fact that Loki also had a mutated Life Ability. But at this moment, he didn’t care about that.
Actually, he couldn’t remember to have revenge on Loki because he was too full of hate, anger, and unwillingness. He was full of hatred for Amelia. He was angry for being weak, and he was unwilling to become a material to help someone else grow stronger.
Amidst all of these emotions, there was little room for the thought of revenge on Loki. This was also because deep down, he couldn’t blame Loki for his current situation. If anything, he ought to pity Loki.
All of these negative emotions made him scream curses at the rank 5 cultivator. He wanted a way to express all of his hatred for her and Amelia. Unfortunately, screaming can’t help him get out of this situation, or he would have escaped, considering how well he screamed.
In a few seconds, Greg disappeared completely. There was nothing left of him after the glowing circle was done with him. Not even his mechanical arm was speared.
With Greg gone, the glowing circle began to shrink. It shrank back until it returned to being just a glowing mark on her forehead.
Her eyes twinkled, and she said, "Truly, mutants taste better."
"There is something indescribably special about it. I can’t put my hand on it. It feels like this."
As she spoke, the ball of fire in her hand began to change. Its two sides stretched into long wings, while its front elongated into a head, and a small portion behind it fanned out into a tail.
The large ball of fire became a bird made of fire. It was a life-like bird with feathers, talons, and a beak. The bird even cawed like a raven.
This sight brought immense joy to the lady. She began petting the bird as she said, "You can be anything you want as long as you are not a Floating Furnace. I will do everything in my power to help you become divine, and all I hope is that you leave your roots as a Floating Furnace behind."
In response, the bird of fire enlarged into a giant avian creature made of fire. She stepped on the back of this giant avian creature and let it carry her away.
As she soared into the air on her new mutated Life Ability, she took one last look at the giant silver mech that she destroyed. This singular glance confirmed what she suspected of the operation of the mech to her.
What she saw inspired her on what kind of Divine Metac she should turn it into. So she said, "It seems that the young man was using you to enhance the power of his mech. That sounds like a good idea."
Her eyes lit up, and she said, "In that case, you should be a Fire Engine. Instead of being a furnace for melting metal, you will be the power source of machines."
Then she laughed and said, "What a wonderful day. Truly a wonderful day."
