Chapter 191: Shock Campaign.

"If I don’t see you in 24 hours, I will discharge you from the army and set a bounty on your head. That way, you will be hunted throughout this small world. Good day."

After she said this, she used her token to wield her authority as commander to cut Greg down from captain to the position of a normal soldier.

This demotion is only temporary. If Greg doesn’t come to her to plead his case within 24 hours, he won’t even get to remain a soldier. He will be discharged from the army and hunted as a traitor.

Of course, all of this is a bait. She has no intention of forgiving him when he comes to defend himself. She is not discharging him immediately because she wants to be the one to kill him.

She wants him to come to her so that she can tear him apart. Only by doing something like this will she be satisfied with putting up with his shenanigans all of these years.

When she was done with the setup, she sighed in relief and said, "About time I dealt with him."

Then she looked at the battlefield and said, "Fortunately, he didn’t screw this up. I have too much counting on this."

When she saw that everything was going well on her side, she took her token and began using it to issue orders.

Her voice was stern as she said, "Ivory, secure that city and update me frequently on every event."

"As for the rest of you on the front lines, it is time to act. Attack every enemy city in front of you. It is time to put the burn on the Martial Body Sect. Call me if you need help."

With this order, the entire front line began to boil. This was because the Four Directions Sect was orchestrating a shock campaign, something only the Martial Body Sect usually does on this battlefield.

Earthly Battlefield E6-137, the initiative has always been in the hands of the Martial Body Sect. They have to be proactive, or they will never be able to close this battlefield.

Because of what’s at stake for them, the Martial Body Sect has invested a lot of manpower in this battlefield. An example of this high level of investment is the fact that every three fortress cities on the front line that belong to them are manned by a rank 4 cultivator.

The rank 4 cultivator will stay in one city but will be able to quickly reinforce the two cities on their left and right. This way, it will be very difficult for the Martial Body Sect to lose a city.

There are more than one hundred fortress cities on the front line. So there are more than 33 rank 4 cultivators from the Martial Body Sect on the front lines.

On the other side, the Four Directions Sect is lacking in rank 4 cultivators. There is only one rank 4 cultivator for every five cities. Sometimes, someone like Greg has to be the one in charge of five cities. This makes it much easier for the Four Directions Sect to lose control of their cities.

These differences in manpower make it easier for the Martial Body Sect to not only keep control of their cities but also gain more cities anytime they run shock campaigns. Time and time again, the Four Directions Sect has been defeated and lost ground to the Martial Body Sect.

The only reason why the Four Directions Sect has been able to hold on until now is that their commander, Amelia, is an Enslavement Cultivator. She is a beast tamer, but just like every other Enslavement Cultivator, she is worth an army on her own.

But the best that they could do was resist. However, an opportunity to do more than resist arrived when one of the rank 4 cultivators of the Martial Body Sect on the front line disappeared mysteriously.

Greg claimed to have killed the rank 4 giant and that the giant didn’t disappear mysteriously. No one believed Greg’s story that the rank 4 giant had taken to the air and was brought down at the cost of the lives of every recruit.

No one believed him for months. When he couldn’t take it anymore, Greg swore that he was telling the truth and promised to prove it by leading an attack on the very city that the rank 4 giant was supposed to be stationed in.

Greg’s attack on this city was the first step in Amelia’s plan. As it happened, Greg turned out to be right about the rank 4 giant being absent. The success of his attack meant that there were three cities on the front line without adequate protection.

Amelia saw this as an opportunity to kickstart a campaign. So she set out with some other captains to attack the other two cities that the rank 4 giant was supposed to be protecting.

Just as she expected, reinforcement was late to arrive because the nearest rank 4 warrior was too far away. So she intended to capitalize on this gap in the defenses of the Martial Body Sect by making everyone on her side on the front line to attack her cities in the front line under the control of the Martial Body Sect.

Her goal is to preoccupy the rank 4 warriors on the front line so that she can take these three unprotected cities. And if the Martial Body Sect is hell-bent on stopping her, she will make them pay with something else.

Greg was the one who lit the fuse that started this unusual shock campaign. But as things are, he is no longer a part of this.

After he was stripped of his rank, he was kicked out of the communication channel of the captains, so he didn’t hear any of Amelia’s orders.

What he ought to do now is to go over to Amelia, but Greg didn’t dare to do that.
