"That’s good to know. Do we know how to free my mother’s soul, will locking his up free her?" Odette asked.

"No, but now that I think I solved the stone problem, we can work on a way to get him out and into the stone, freeing your mother from his clutches." Arya added.

"We have a powerful witch here in our midst, would you be willing to work with her?" Alpha King Ambrose chimed in asking Arya.

"Depends on the witch, but I’m willing to give it a shot, frankly we don’t have much of a choice, we need to figure this out before the enemy is ready." Arya was right and everyone knew it.

Vlad opened with "We have been establishing the same plans. Our warriors have been training relentlessly for this. Prince Gabriel and I have been dedicated to this. I think we have quite the impressive force. 800,000 strong."

Gabriel’s face was as expressionless as ever.

Jeremy added "I’ve been working on developing a sunlight resistance mixture for the vampires to consume, to give them short term immunity to UV rays from the sun, so they have the ability to walk in the daylight. As well as finding information on the last war."

Oliver chimed in "I’ve done absolutely nothing but run the business from behind the scenes. Lucky me, still the lazy uncle I’ve always been." He laughed.

"You have 1 hour of alone time and then it’s going to be time to eat, and your family needs to settle in." Ambrose whispered low enough only she could hear.

Odette blushed with his gesture and nodded at what he said.

Kalvin couldn’t believe what he was seeing, she was never this sweet with him. Another man was kissing his woman’s hand. He was so confused about what had just happened. He couldn’t believe he’d been caught, that his dirty secret laid bare for everyone to witness. That he lost his woman to a dog, no less.

Ash could see Kalvin’s face, wearing hatred like war paint. He was disgusted with the fact he’s allowed such a little piece of shit under the same roof as him, he knew there was something he didn’t like about the guy, just always chucked up to his prejudice against humans and any men interested in his daughter.

And despite how much he hated the idea of Odette being with shifters, and the son of one of the men who assaulted her mother no less. Seeing the way he is with Odette. Ash had been watching the couple since he laid eyes on them. He was concerned, stood protectively, not just possessively, not to her. He could feel the power he commanded, and he respected that about him. His daughter needed a strong man to hold her down when things got rough, literally and figuratively. Ash knew how powerful she was, too an extent, it’s why he always limited her power usage and testing, he wasn’t just scared of the extent of her powers, he didn’t trust her to handle them well being so young, and if she truly knew what she was capable of her life, would she still had been his humble little girl? He doubted that power made people willfully arrogant, and with as strong willed as she was Ash was confident in his decision to keep her powers hidden from most everyone, even herself.

He felt so proud of her, not just taking control of a room full of hardheaded powerful people with the kind of ease that seemed natural.
