The Genius of Cloning in the Academy City-Chapter 93: Violet Is Not a Troublemaker. Let’s Prove She’s a Good Girl!
Chapter 93: Violet Is Not a Troublemaker. Let’s Prove She’s a Good Girl!
A strong and powerful morning dawned.
Our Violets woke up and prepared breakfast in their own ways.
The Violet in the dormitory headed to the cafeteria with Daphne, while the Violet living in the central district went to Kalia’s house for breakfast or toasted some bread.
Others opted for instant noodles or just cereal, showcasing a variety of choices.
Eating such diverse meals simultaneously had its advantages.
One, it allowed us to eat everything we couldn’t finish when we were full.
Another, we could savor a variety of flavors at once.
Imagine drinking chocolate milk, strawberry milk, and banana milk simultaneously.
When we had one body, mixing them resulted in a strange taste, but with multiple bodies, the three flavors could coexist harmoniously.
Thus, we Violets could be considered culinary geniuses.
After our stomachs were full and we felt relaxed, our minds started spinning again.
We lay or sat comfortably in our respective spots and connected to the Violet Network.
No. 1, acting as the moderator, announced the beginning of the discussion.
“Let’s pick up from where we left off yesterday.”
“Got it.”
The Violets began discussing what they had seen yesterday.
“First of all, the person we saw yesterday was definitely Saiges. Black hair, black coat! He always dressed like that.”
“He seemed kind of gloomy.”
No. 13 recalled the Principal from the original storyline.
The Principal’s gender was either male or female, but according to the setting, the male Principal was the canon version.
In other words, there was only one Principal.
We didn’t know where Saiges’ twin sister was or what she was doing.
What about Sophiel?
“Maybe she’s with the Inspection Bureau?”
“I heard she worked as a teacher.”
However, imagining the battle from yesterday gave me chills.
The Principal we knew was more cheerful and occasionally clumsy.
Even when fighting villains, he was more emotional and knew how to get angry.
But the human we saw yesterday was a ruthless killing machine, devoid of any warmth or tears.
It gave off a severe sense of déjà vu.
Nos. 39 and 83 continued to offer opinions.
“Think about the vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. He used that in the original story too.”
“Don’t you remember the red-haired girl? The one with cat ears. That’s Milia.”
The image of a girl stomping her feet in frustration at the Principal came to mind.
Who would have thought Milia would be there too?
Milia was the mascot of the Deep Crimson Academia and the Principal’s closest companion.
No. 2, who had been deep in thought, suddenly slapped her knee.
“What about the ability to pull weapons out of thin air? Remember how the inventory disappeared when we went to the Novastia Dungeon? It must’ve been the Principal who took it.” ŗÀꞐ𝔬₿ЁṠ
“Oh, right, there was that!”
The Violets reached a consensus: “It’s definitely the Principal.”
The problem was why the Principal, who was supposed to be active several years into the future, was moving now.
“Regression. Or possession.”
“I vote for regression. If I were possessing the Principal, I’d have started by looting elixirs and magical flowers. Then I’d have tried to recruit fellow students and allies.”
“True, that makes sense.”
Considering he was having a conversation with Adela about something, it seemed he had some plan in mind, but it was puzzling why he wasn’t seeking out Irene, Daphne, or Kalia.
“Could it be that he doesn’t know where they are?”
“Maybe he’s just too busy.”
Eventually, the Violets proceeded with the assumption of “Principal = Regressor.”
Given our uniqueness as “Violets,” the first thing to discuss was this.
“What should we do if we meet the Principal?”
I recalled stories revolving around time travelers or regressors.
Revenge, punishment, judgment…
“Um… Won’t he just deal with us harshly?”
“He might kill us!”
Our reaction was explosive.
Considering the chaos caused by the “Boundless Witch” Violet in the first part, meeting the Principal was more dangerous than putting a time-traveling Jew in front of baby Hitler.
“I know, but maybe we could explain everything properly? Like, we’re not the Boundless Witch you know!”
“But we’d also have to explain how we know that.”
This was a classic devil’s proof problem.
How could we prove that we wouldn’t make mistakes in the future?

How could we even explain how we knew that?
With no answers in sight, some Violets started making unreasonable suggestions.
“Let’s reveal we’re possessed.”
“Rejected. He’d think we’re crazy and try to kill us.”
Upon further discussion, we struggled to figure out how to talk to the Principal.
It was a challenging issue.
The Rustlum Academy City was overrun with villains.
There were cults claiming that beasts and ether were humanity’s salvation and should erode the dimensions, corporations conducting illegal human experiments or trades, and clans shirking their duties while imposing unreasonable demands on non-Awakened individuals, like during the Cockroach Dungeon incident.
There were also various secret organizations hatching conspiracies.
However, these villains had at least somewhat rational reasons for their actions and clear objectives.
The Boundless Witch was different.
The final boss of Part 1 was a sadistic killer who enjoyed tormenting people as she pleased.
“She was a crazy woman.”
“She doesn’t think like us!”
The narcissistic witch Violet found her only pleasure in witnessing others suffer. That’s why the Boundless Witch committed so many evil deeds.
“What did the witch do again?”
In Dorm 205, one of the Violets glanced at her roommate.
“She harassed Daphne.”
“That was much earlier.”
“Didn’t she stage a hostage situation?”
The Violets racked their brains, recalling the witch’s various misdeeds from the main storyline: school hostage crises, massacres of civilians, bombings, assassinations, and random murders.
“She killed children to provoke Adela.”
“She also killed patients at the facility where Daphne worked.”
“She caused chaos across the Academy City just to anger the Chancellor.”
The rampaging Boundless Witch even betrayed the Obsidian Legion, who were trying to stop her, and escaped.
Likely because she didn’t want to follow orders.
Eventually, a catastrophe broke out, with hundreds to thousands of her clones rioting across the entire Academy City.
If the final barrier Daphne left behind hadn’t trapped the witch Violet’s main body, she might never have been captured.
There was talk that the clones ceased functioning immediately after the main body was killed.
Afterward, there was no mention of what became of them.
Did they disappear, or gain new abilities like us?
Considering the lack of mention in the prologue of Part 2, the main body’s death might be true.
“Oh, then let’s use this method.”
One of the Violets, reviewing the situation, made a suggestion.
“Let’s ask our friends to persuade them. We’ll say, ‘We’re not the monster you think we are.’”
“Right, that’s quicker. Why were we even debating this?”
The witch was selfish and had no friends. In contrast, we had friends.
This should convince them that I’m different from that witch.
If the Chancellor gets angry when we meet later, I’ll just run to our friends.
There’s no way the Chancellor, who isn’t a lunatic, wouldn’t listen to them. Come to think of it, I have Adela’s contact information, too.
“Why did I end up in the body of such a bizarre villain?”
“She could’ve lived a bit better! Then we wouldn’t have to deal with these problems.”
We grumbled.
But the evil witch no longer existed.
Only the righteous, loyal Violets remained now.
After the discussion ended, we ate crystal flowers we brought from school. I could feel mana surging rapidly.
“Wow, this is amazing!”
“My magic power is overflowing!”
We immediately started generating clones. Using the hibernation function, lifeless bodies without personalities slumped to the ground.
Once the numbers exceeded a certain threshold, new personalities appeared within the Violet Network.
“Wow! What a cool world. I’m Number 300! Nice to meet you!”
“I’m Number 312!”
The Violets greeted the new Violets and proceeded with the new plan.
“From now on, let’s begin the mass-production operation for Violets.”
We spent a considerable portion of our budget on food.
A hundred Violets meant food expenses for a hundred individuals.
The bigger issue was living space. If we created a thousand Violets, we’d need housing for a thousand.
Even if we rented more places, we couldn’t scale up instantly.
However, with our new abilities, we could maximize space usage. We could just produce Violet bodies and stack them densely to save mana.
Meanwhile, in one corner, Violet’s bodies were being stuffed into barrels.
The barrels were filled with a small amount of food, money, and supplies.
I planned to bury these Violet barrels shallowly in various regions.
They could serve as teleportation beacons in emergencies.
They’d prevent us from being wiped out completely.
We planned to steadily increase the number of clones to build a force in the thousands. This would be a great asset for future operations.
“We need to grow stronger than ever!”
“Look at the Chancellor, so incredibly powerful. Our strength lies in our numbers. Let’s expand quickly.”
One major reason we were rushing the plan was the inspiration we felt after seeing the Chancellor.
We were still lacking.
On the other hand, the fact that even the Chancellor struggled against us gave us some confidence.
We trained, studied, and devoted ourselves to practice. As time passed, the day of the field trip approached.
“Let’s go! Experience points! Artifacts! Treasure chests!”
“We can do it!”
Finally, the time came to enter the Clovis Great Forest.
