"Elder brother, is something wrong?"

Jun upon seeing Yan Su's blank expression asked with a worried look on his face.

"I…"

Yang Su momentarily paused as he turned to look at old man South Border with a complicated expression. He eventually looked away after a brief moment and then said.

"I-I'm fine Jun."

Jun despite hearing Yang Su's response still had the worried look on his face.

To further comfort him, Yang Su put what old man South Border said at the back of his mind before smiling and patting his Jun's and said.

"Or should I call you my little brother now? I've never been a big brother before so I might not do a good job as an older brother."

Jun smiled sheepishly and responded.

"It's fine, you don't have to act any differently than now."

Old man South Border seeing Yang Su laughing with the others sighed and thought.

'At least he has people who cares for him and vice versa. Hopefully, he'll be strong enough to face his destiny.'

After thinking that, old man South Border turned to the Mercenary Association elder that came up to him and cupped his fist.

"Border Guardian, this one's name is elder Hong. Will you be escorting us to the Star Bound Continent?"

Old man South Border shook his head.

"Even though I regret not acting sooner to prevent this situation, I cannot escort you all the way to the Star Bound Continent with this projection. Shi Lei Hu."

"Yes Commander-in-chief!"

Shi Lei Hu stepped up upon hearing old man South Border.

"I'll entrust you to escort this ship to the Star Bound Continent."

"Don't worry Commander, I'll see to it they reach there safely."

Elder Hong hearing that old man South Border wasn't the one to escort them hesitate for a moment then said.

"Border Guardian your greatness, is this truly the right decision? The Sea King's clone was destroyed, wouldn't there be retaliation on his part?"

"His clone was destroyed?"

Shi Lei Hu asked a bit surprised.

"Explained what happened during the trip."

Old man South Border said.

Elder Hong started and began retelling what transpired during the trip. How Sea King Modu attacked them and went after Fang Chen, and to buy them time Shi Chun sacrificed himself.

Elder Hong left out nothing, even mentioning the warning Shi Chun had given him.

'Perhaps they can understand why elder Chun had given that warning?'

Elder Hong thought as he finished his retelling and looked at old man South Border and Shi Lei Hu to see their reactions.

"Wait…the person Sea King Modu was after was not that child whose name is Yang Su?"

Shi Lei Hu asked motioning to Yang Su.

Elder Hong nodded his head and pointed out that Fang Chen was the one he had been initiated after, but later switch to Yang Su.

Shi Lei Hu narrowed his eyes at that.

"Shi Lei Hu, do you have any idea why your brother would give that warning?"

Old man South Border's expression was serious. Shi Chun had said if Sea King Modu had succeeded in getting on this trip the Maple Continent would be in danger. As one of the four Border Guardians, he took this matter extremely seriously.

Shi Lei Hu left his thoughts when he heard old man South Border's question. He advise them to move somewhere else as the disciples on the ship were beginning to wake up.

After elder Hong told the disciples on the ship to wait and recover from their injuries, he along with old man South Border flew further up into the air with Shi Lei Hu.

After reaching the golden portal that old man South Border had exited, Shi Lei Hu took out Shi Chun's headless corpse.

Immediately, old man South Border's face changed.

"Did he not die due to Sea King Modu?"

Old man South Border asked as he sensed the strange aura where Shi Chun's head was missing.

'Wasn't this the aura I felt that made the danger I sense draw closer?'

Old man South Border thought.

Shi Lei Hu then began to explain Shi Chun's situation of how he was being used as a Comprehension Cauldron.

"I think to hold back Sea King Modu my youngest brother allowed the process to be complete and used that Sword Spirit."

"Yes Commander. Also…"

Old man South Border released a sigh after saying all of that.

"Then it was no wonder elder Chun was so frantic when he told us to leave. He had figured out that if Sea King Modu was after that child's bloodline he must be cultivating some technique that could increase his strength by absorbing bloodlines. If the Sea King had captured that Fang child his strength might have increased to where he could threaten the borders. If he then obtains that child's Leviathan Race bloodline he would be the one to unite the four Continents Ocean instead."

"The Mercenary Association sure is knowledgeable."

Elder Hong suddenly heard Shi Lei Hu say before he shot him a glance.

The borders have kept the secret of Teng Ye's background and their plans a secret, but here elder Hong was just casually mentioning it.

"We know the Mercenary Association is a neutral power, or else we wouldn't have left your spies in our borders."

Shi Lei Hu said finishing for elder Hong.

Shi Lei Hu and elder Hong didn't hesitate to nod before they flew down towards the ship.

SCREECHHH!!!

A loud, high-pitched cry from a monster was suddenly heard echoing out.

The void trembled and the Ocean's water surged frantically as a result.

The cry reached the ship and the disciples immediately felt as if they were going to go deaf.

"Ahh!"

"W-What is that?!"

The disciples panicked and desperately covered their ears to block out the cry but it was no use. Several disciples' ears drums bled adding to the emotional and traumatic stress they'd been through thus far.

Elder Hong quickly formed several hand seals to erect the ship's berried while Shi Lei Hu waved his hand and bolstered it with his cultivation. Only then did the disciples relax a bit.

"YOU DARE DESTROY MY CLONE!!!"

A Divine Will swept out into the surroundings as a voice echoed out; it was filled with immense rage.

The ship rocked back and forth due to this, but old man South Border stepped in and his figure became transparent as it shone with dazzling golden light that pushed back Sea King Modu's Divine Will.

"Sea King Modu, don't go too far."

"Bullshit!! After I destroy your clone I'm going to murder everyone on that ship and take those nutrients! That's not a warning, that's a fucking threat!!"

Sea King Modu seemed to have lost all reason. It looked like he didn't care about anything other than getting not just Yang Su, but Fang Chen and the others as well.

BANG!

From the Ocean below a monster similar to the projection that attacked Yang Su appeared. But unlike the projection, Sea King Modu's original body was much larger being several hundred meters in length.

As his half-serpent half-leech body burst from the Ocean, the fins at his neck were spread open as he let out another roar.

Seeing Sea King Modu's hideous appearance, especially the features that didn't fit his body, old man South Border narrowed his eyes.

"So aren't even going to try and hide it anymore, you are truly after these children's bloodlines."

"So what if you know? JUST DIE!!"

Sea King Modu opened his teeth-filled mouth and the void trembled as a black beam was released towards old man South Border.
