The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space-Chapter 2267: Qian Er Arrives (13)
Watching the two ladies leave, Yang Ruxin smiled, "It always feels best to be home."
"Big sister, it must have been hard for you." Xiaofeng looked at Yang Ruxin.
"Seeing you all well, it wasn’t hard at all." Yang Ruxin reached out to pinch the little guy’s cheek, "Oh my, my little brother is getting better looking."
Xiaofeng’s little face turned red.
"What about me? What about me?" Sini and Erya, along with a group of little ones, crowded over.
"You’re all looking amazing."
The little ones giggled merrily.
"Madam." Chun Hua finally had the chance to approach, "The hot water is ready."
"It’s been a few months, and our little girl has become even more charming." Yang Ruxin finally let go of Xiaofeng, raised her hand and pinched Chun Hua’s cheek, "Come on, give me a smile."
Chun Hua’s face turned completely red, but having lived in the Yang Family compound for so long, her personality had become quite lively. Despite her shyness, she stamped her foot, "Sorry, mister, but this girl sells her labor, not her talent."
Everyone was taken aback for a moment, then suddenly burst into laughter that nearly lifted the roof.
Chai Qin looked at the scene before her and couldn’t help but smile too. This scene was so warm and inviting. Luckily, she hadn’t taken the wrong path. In the future, she would also be part of this lively group. It felt so good!
"Wow, girl, not bad at all." Yang Ruxin laughed heartily and directly put her arm around Chun Hua’s shoulders, "Haven’t seen you for a few months, and you’ve improved. So tonight, I’ll pick you, serve me well, and there’ll be a reward for you..."
"Big sister, how can you be so improper?" Erni blushed furiously, quickly tugging at Yang Ruxin’s sleeve, "There are children here."
"We didn’t hear anything." Then, led by Sini, the group of little ones covered their eyes, but each little hand left gaps, and their big eyes were darting around mischievously, looking utterly adorable.
Once again, everyone burst into laughter.
The people in the outer courtyard and the kitchen couldn’t help but smile when they heard the bursts of laughter from the little building. With the eldest sister back, the atmosphere at home was different. It felt so good.
Because it was so late, after washing up, everyone had a simple dinner and then rested.
Lying on her bed, Yang Ruxin sighed contentedly. Truly, no place, golden or silver, compared to her own little den. No matter where she went, nothing felt as comfortable as home. The only regret was the empty pillow next to hers.
"Gu Qingheng, what do I do now that I’m starting to miss you?" Yang Ruxin hugged Gu Qingheng’s pillow and sighed softly, "Where are you now? Do you miss me?"
Meanwhile, a certain man who had crossed the Yangtze River and entered Jiangnan was looking up at the moon after eating roasted wild rabbit, his thoughts similarly all-consuming, missing his little wife.
After tossing and turning with the pillow for a while, Yang Ruxin fell asleep. The next day, she was woken up by a furry head.
"Dabai, stop it." Yang Ruxin groggily pushed away the head that was tickling her, opened her eyes, "Don’t you know I was exhausted from traveling yesterday? Can’t you let me sleep in?"
Dabai shook his head, whimpered twice, indicating someone had come, and she was still sleeping?
"Alright, I’m getting up." Yang Ruxin sat up, stretched lazily, and then shook her head. She hadn’t dreamed last night, she wondered how the three little ones in her dream were doing. She mocked herself, thinking it was odd to be so fixated on dream children.
Dabai whimpered again, having not seen her for months, this woman had gone silly? Sitting there hitting herself?
Yang Ruxin awkwardly smiled, rubbed Dabai’s head, saying she was merely thinking.
Dabai shook his big head and then padded out with a clip-clop sound.
Yang Ruxin touched her nose, had she been looked down upon by a dog?
"Madam." Chun Hua came in, placed the cotton clothes on the side stove to warm it, then brought it over.
"Who came?" Yang Ruxin took the clothes, put them on, and got out of bed to wash her face.
"It’s Qian Er, he came a quarter of an hour ago." Chun Hua handed over a towel, "But he’s been coming every day recently. Today, upon learning you were back, he was quite excited, but knowing you were asleep, he didn’t let anyone call you. However, I saw from his restless demeanor that he seemed quite anxious."
Yang Ruxin frowned slightly. Qian Er had become more composed these days; anything that made him anxious must be urgent. She didn’t even braid her hair, just tied it with a silk ribbon and headed out.
"Madam, it won’t take long to do your hair."
But Yang Ruxin ignored Chun Hua’s words and went straight to the outer living room.
"Sister Xin." Qian Er, though seated, appeared anxious. The moment Yang Ruxin came in, he stood up swiftly.
"What happened?"
Qian Er glanced at Chun Hua, who had followed in.
Chun Hua sensibly retreated again.
"Sister Xin, Chengzi might be in trouble." Qian Er’s tears finally fell.
"What happened?" Yang Ruxin’s heart skipped a beat.
Qian Er shook his head, "I don’t know. Since the last message he sent, there have been no updates for days. Worried, I sent him messages, but there’s been no reply." He sighed, "My heart’s particularly uneasy." Knowing Yang Ruxin would come back these days, he went over every day.
"Don’t scare yourself." Yang Ruxin shook her head, "Sometimes no news is the best news. But I’ll immediately send a message to ask Prince Ba’s side, see if Weng Xin has heard anything."
Qian Er nodded, but his worry was evident, not diminished in the least.
Yang Ruxin dared not delay, quickly wrote a letter and sent it with a message eagle.
Chengzi and Weng Xin had infiltrated the organization alongside Tian Family people, but later, after dealing with Tian Geng, his two sons continued their father’s wrongdoing. Chengzi, being close to Tian Jialiang, penetrated closer to the core.
That organization was the Flame Sect.
The war between Nanzhao Country and Daxuan was actually instigated by the Flame Sect.
And since Prince Yun had been caught, was it true that Chengzi and Weng Xin were exposed? If so, Yang Ruxin dared not imagine. They weren’t as significant as Prince Yun. Once discovered, death would be their only fate.
"By the way, Qian Er, how have things been with Chun Gui lately?" Not wanting the atmosphere to be so heavy, Yang Ruxin changed the topic.
Sure enough, at the mention of this, Qian Er’s face lit up with a smile, "Great, honestly, I can’t wait until next year."
