The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard-Chapter 2385
Carson Flores opened his eyes wide in pleasant surprise.
Although he had studied Bank Austin’s Heavenly Sword and joined the White Crane Immortal Sect, he had only seen Bank Austin’s Primordial Spirit once; he had never seen the true person.
He never expected to hear news of Bank Austin from his newly acknowledged master.
Two thousand years ago?
Peak Great Land Supreme Immortal?
Carson asked excitedly, "Master, did he mention which Sect he is in now?"
Floating Cloud Master smiled and said, "No Sect, he said he is a Loose Cultivator."
Carson suddenly realized. I figured as much.
Even though he hadn’t seen Bank Austin, he was a man who could sweep through the entire Thunder Immortal Realm with just one sword. His talent in Sword Dao was unparalleled. If he had joined some top Sect, how could it have taken him four thousand years to advance to peak Great Land Supreme Immortal?
He must have spent more time cultivating by himself and earning cultivation resources. After all, while talent is important in cultivation, the most crucial thing is still cultivation resources.
As long as the cultivation resources are good enough, even a pig could fly, let alone a talented cultivator.
Now, two thousand more years have passed, who knows how he’s doing?
Surely he has long since broken through the bottleneck and advanced to Great Land Prime Immortal, right?
"Master, where did you meet him?"
"Eastern Radiance."
Carson’s eyes lit up: "So, he might have been staying in the Ten Thousand Immortals Domain for thousands of years?"
"Perhaps he still is."
Floating Cloud Master smiled and said, "If you’re interested, I’ll instruct the Sect disciples to keep an eye out for any news of him for you."
Carson nodded calmly, "Alright, thank you, Master. I haven’t seen him even once and I truly want to meet him."
Floating Cloud Master laughed heartily, "According to you, he annihilated his own Primordial Spirit Incarnation, which equates to telling his True Self that the inheritance has found a successor, but he doesn’t know who. Even if you stood in front of him, he probably wouldn’t recognize you."
"Yes."
Carson was unfazed: "He didn’t leave the inheritance for any personal gain, just to ensure that the Heavenly Sword inheritance remained within the White Crane Immortal Sect. To him, it doesn’t matter who the successor is, as long as they’re a White Crane Disciple."
Floating Cloud Master stroked his long beard, "That’s true, but one day, if you two meet, the scene will surely be quite amusing."
Carson thought of meeting him, calling him Master while Bank Austin looked puzzled. He found that very amusing and couldn’t help but chuckle, "Definitely, I’m looking forward to that day too."
Floating Cloud turned to the three women behind Carson, and Carson introduced them: "These are my wives, um, Pathist companions..."
The three women all greeted Floating Cloud Master, who quickly rummaged through a Space Ring, taking out three Spiritual Treasures as meeting gifts for the women.
Carson smiled and said, "There are two more cultivating in seclusion on the island. Next time, when there’s an opportunity, I’ll introduce them to Master..."
Floating Cloud Master’s expression turned rather peculiar, and his lips twitched, "If you have any more Pathist companions, I’ll be bankrupt."
Carson chuckled. The reason he agreed to become Floating Cloud Master’s disciple was partly because Floating Cloud was powerful and offered good conditions, and partly because of Floating Cloud’s personality.
Floating Cloud was free-spirited, disinterested in power and lust, and did not involve himself in Sect affairs. In short, he was carefree and had few concerns. This was very important to Carson, who didn’t want to join the Dragon Mountain Sect and become tangled in a myriad of affairs, making it feel like he was just working a day job in the Mortal Realm—how miserable that would be.
Despite Floating Cloud’s immense strength, he was approachable, easy to talk to, and easy to get along with, which Carson appreciated.
Carson was no longer a newcomer to the Barbaric Wilderness Realm; he was fully capable of refusing. Even if he cultivated on his own, much like his master, Bank Austin, even if it was a slower process, he could eventually climb up.
As for dying along the way?
Well, that would be the fate, no need to force it.
"Let’s go, let’s meet others."
"Alright!"
Carson followed into the Dragon Mountain Sect’s camp, where many were setting up the camp and constructing defensive arrays.
As they entered, all eyes turned and focused on Carson, who was following closely behind.
Flowing Cloud was chatting with two others when he turned and smiled, "You’re here."
Just as Carson was about to respond, Floating Cloud Master calmly extended his hand, "Call him Senior Uncle, you’ve met him before."
The smile on Flowing Cloud’s face froze, "Ah?"
Carson secretly laughed, cupping his hands in salute, "Carson greets Senior Uncle!"
Not just Flowing Cloud, but everyone else who was paying attention was stunned, but seeing Floating Cloud Master standing there, they quickly realized.
Carson had become a disciple?
Flowing Cloud’s face filled with delight, "Senior Brother, this kid became your disciple?"
Floating Cloud Master acknowledged with a hum, maintaining a master-like demeanor, but the upward tilt of his lips betrayed his emotions.
Flowing Cloud laughed heartily, "That’s great! Hey, Carson, what made you suddenly come around?"
Carson hesitated for a moment, looking at Floating Cloud Master, who was facing away and not intending to turn.
Carson turned back, smiled, and replied, "I like wandering around and often cause trouble. Having a master is like having someone to protect me from getting beaten to death..."
