The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard-Chapter 1528: Heaven Has a Path You Don’t Take, Hell Has No Door Yet You Break In!
Chapter 1528: Chapter 1528: Heaven Has a Path You Don’t Take, Hell Has No Door Yet You Break In!
Snow Dragon Mountain.
The mountain peak covered in snow and ice, in this sparsely populated area, is adorned with a series of buildings, and a grand white palace stands proudly at the summit, majestic and imposing.
If one were to look from afar, they would only see swirling snow mist atop the mountain, unable to discern the buildings at the peak.
Previously, three men and one woman who had forcefully attempted to capture Carson Flores but were driven away by Cecilia Browning swiftly flew into the mist, revealed their Tokens, passed through the Formation, and then entered the grand palace atop the mountain.
Inside the palace, a white-haired man sat cross-legged, meditating.
His appearance looked young, about in his thirties, yet his hair was snow-white, with no trace of other colors.
The three men and one woman entered through the door, bowed in the center of the palace, and raised their right hands to their foreheads.
"Master!"
The white-haired man opened his eyes, his gaze falling upon the wounded man, his brow slightly furrowed.
"Where is he?"
The leading man’s eyes were filled with fear as he quickly replied, "The new Pill King is Carson Flores from the White Crane Immortal Sect, a disciple of Bank Austin. He somehow learned incredibly powerful alchemy skills."
"We followed him as he left Flying Phoenix City, stopped him, and were about to forcibly take him back when suddenly three people appeared—a masked woman, a middle-aged woman, and a white-haired elder. The middle-aged woman struck down Lucian Fraley with a single move. Her strength is at least that of a Golden Immortal. We were powerless and had to retreat."
The white-haired man’s eyebrows arched: "Bank Austin’s disciple? Since when did Bank Austin practice alchemy?"
The man replied, "His alchemical skills were definitely not learned at White Crane Villa; he likely had some unique encounter."
The white-haired man inquired, "What’s the identity of those three people?"
The man’s forehead was sweating: "I don’t know, but when I retreated, I left behind their images..."
The white-haired man slightly lifted his chin, not speaking.
The man took out a Soulmirror Stone, injected internal force, and suddenly a scene was projected into the air.
The images of masked Alfred Weaver, Cecilia Browning, and Vance Holt appeared lifelike, as if they were alive.
The white-haired man’s gaze fell on the scene, seemingly in a daze, then he suddenly floated into the air, his eyes wide, his gaze shocked.
"Vance Holt!"
The three men and one woman in the center of the palace were startled by the white-haired man’s actions.
What was going on?
Crystal Snow is powerful, typically expressionless. Why such a big reaction now?
Who exactly are these three people?
The white-haired man’s gaze swept over Cecilia Browning, looked her over twice, and finally rested on the veiled Alfred Weaver, whose appearance was unclear, his eyes glowing as if he could pierce the void.
"Vance Holt is not guarding the Celestial Palace and suddenly appeared in the Skyland Continent. There’s only one person who could make him leave his post..."
"She actually left the Celestial Palace!"
The white-haired man’s face showed an excited expression, staring at the masked Alfred Weaver for a long time before retracting his gaze and calming his emotions.
"Where exactly did you encounter them?"
The man answered, "About 400 miles west of Flying Phoenix City in the wilderness. They must have also been pursuing Carson Flores."
The white-haired man squinted: "They’re pursuing the new Pill King? That’s unlikely; the Celestial Palace doesn’t lack Alchemists..."
After a pause, the white-haired man sat back down cross-legged, solemnly saying, "Tell me everything that’s happened recently, especially regarding Carson Flores."
"Yes!"
The man respectfully said, "We received orders to enter Flying Phoenix City as the competition was just starting..."
The man recounted the entire competition, and the white-haired man listened attentively. Upon hearing about Carson Flores publicly teaching the Flower Pinching Skill’s grand spectacle, his eyebrows rose.
"Unique alchemical methods unheard of in the Thunder Immortal Realm?"
"It seems Carson Flores indeed had some kind of extraordinary experience. His alchemical proficiency is exactly what we need..."
"Could it be they were pursuing Carson Flores because of his unique alchemy skills, seeking to recruit him or ask him to craft a particular elixir?"
The white-robed man closed his eyes, thinking rapidly.
After a long while, the white-haired man opened his eyes, coldly ordering: "Issue my command; everyone is to leave the mountain, activate all channels to trace the whereabouts of those three people and Carson Flores. Once something is discovered, report back with utmost speed and discretion!"
"Conduct the search covertly; do not let the other side notice, do not alert them. Whoever finds them will be heavily rewarded!"
The men and women bowed in unison, pressing their right hands to their foreheads: "Yes!"
After everyone left, the white-haired man pondered some more before standing up and heading towards the back of the palace.
Passing through the palace, he arrived at his Cave Mansion’s rear, picking up a Jade Slip and quickly recording a message.
Once he finished recording the message, he entered the innermost room of the Cave Mansion, where two small Array Plates were arranged on the ground.
If an Array Master were present, they would immediately recognize these as Teleportation Mother-Daughter Plates, one child plate, and one mother plate.
The white-haired man cast a spell, and the previously dormant mother plate suddenly burst with brilliant white light.
The white-haired man threw the Jade Slip into the array plate, and with a flash of white light, the Jade Slip vanished.
The white-haired man lowered his hand, gazing at the glowing array plate and suddenly laughed: "Heaven has a path that you didn’t take; Hell has no gate, yet you chose to enter..."
