The Fake Heiress Turns Out to Be a True Tycoon!-Chapter 59 - Azura Loomiss System
Chapter 59: Chapter 59 Azura Loomis’s System
Chapter 59 -59 Azura Loomis’s System
Azura Loomis turned her gaze away a bit impatiently, and the next second, a voice suddenly echoed in her mind.
“[Host, Lucas Jennings’ Goodwill Value is currently nearing the passing line. To ensure the extraction of Fortune, please enhance Lucas Jennings’ Goodwill Value promptly.]”
“I got it.”
Azura was a bit annoyed.
“If it weren’t for you saying that reducing their positive energy makes the Fortune extraction easier, why would I have taken Lucas Jennings there? You clearly said before that ghosts wouldn’t hurt me, so what on earth were those threads?”
If it hadn’t been for those threads rushing towards her, she wouldn’t have been startled and instinctively left Lucas behind.
Otherwise, why would Lucas be mad at her?
Originally, when Lucas left angry today, she hadn’t taken it seriously.
But unexpectedly, as soon as Lucas left, the system suddenly alerted her.
Lucas’ Goodwill Value plummeted drastically, and even now, it showed no signs of recovery!
To pull Lucas’ Goodwill Value above 85 points, she had spent a full three years!
And just like that, she lost twenty points in an instant, leaving Azura deeply frustrated.
“[The system doesn’t make mistakes. It can ensure that the host won’t be harmed by Shadow Energy, but the threads are driven by Resentful Energy and are not categorized as ghosts.]”
The system’s formulaic tone made Azura increasingly irritated.
This system, she accidentally acquired after moving into the Jennings Family.
With the system, she easily gained beauty, a perfect body, and even a brilliant mind. Coupled with the subsequent Fortune extraction, her life had been smooth sailing.
Because of this, she always trusted and relied on the system’s words.
Who would have thought that it would cause her such a huge setback this time!
“Everything is dictated by you. Luckily, Lucas is easily placated. Don’t worry. Once I’m discharged and back home, I’ll quickly restore his Goodwill Value.”
Despite the setback, Azura wasn’t overly worried.
Lucas had a big temper, but he was the type whose anger dissipated quickly.
Over the years, Azura had thoroughly understood the temperaments of the Jennings brothers.
Thinking of this, she picked up her phone again and sent Lucas another message.
“Lucas, are you asleep? You didn’t visit me today. Are you still mad at your sister? I’ve had trouble sleeping in the hospital these past two days. Whenever I think about what happened that day, I feel sad and regretful. I’ve never experienced anything like that, and it still scares me. I left you that day because I wanted to find someone to save you… I know you might not believe anything I say now, but I’m being sincere. Lucas, I’m getting discharged and going home tomorrow. Would you come to pick me up?”
After sending the lengthy text, Azura took the warm water handed to her by Chase Jennings, sitting back to wait for the system to report an increase in Goodwill Value.
However, she waited for a minute, five minutes, ten minutes.
After finishing two cups of water, there was still no response, and the system showed no movement in Lucas’ Goodwill Value.
Azura’s expression was less than pleasant.
She couldn’t believe Lucas hadn’t seen her message.
Lucas was practically glued to his phone as a game addict.
But why didn’t he reply to her messages?
Why wasn’t his Goodwill Value moving even a bit?
Could he actually still be mad at her?
Anyone would make the same choice she did in that situation.
Even if he was angry, two days had passed since then. Now that she’s extended an olive branch, he should let it go.
Azura thought Lucas was being ungrateful.
Possibly noticing her displeasure, Chase Jennings couldn’t help but express concern,
“Azura, what’s wrong? Are you feeling uncomfortable somewhere?”
Chase looked at her, his eyes filled with worry and affection.
Azura pressed her lips together, feigning a melancholy smile.
“It’s nothing, it’s just that I messaged Lucas these past two days, and he didn’t reply…”
She then turned to express a bit of worry, “I’m also concerned if he got really scared that day or if he’s feeling unwell… He should be in the hospital for observation for a couple of days like me.”
When Chase heard Lucas wasn’t responding to Azura, his face also darkened, feeling Lucas was really out of line.
Recalling Lucas lively hanging around Scarlett Jennings at home earlier today, he felt even more that Azura was undeserving of such treatment.
It’s a shame for Azura to still be thinking of him whilst she’s hospitalized!
Chase decided that he’d be sure to give Lucas a good scolding when he returned home tomorrow.
With that thought, Chase refrained from revealing the truth, to spare Azura any distress, and simply consoled her,
“Don’t worry, maybe he’s just engrossed in a game and didn’t see your message.”
He said, gently taking Azura’s hand resting on the blanket, his voice soft,
“I saw Lucas when I was home today. He’s fine. Don’t overthink it; you’ll be coming home tomorrow.”
Feeling that large hand over her own, Azura felt slightly disgusted, but she maintained her gentle smile,
“Yes, I’m grateful to Brother Chase for keeping me company. Otherwise, I would be overthinking things.”

She didn’t pull her hand back, and Chase seemed to have forgotten he was holding her hand, continuing in his effort to comfort her with words.
Azura distractedly entertained the charade, while the system’s voice sounded in her mind again.
“[Host, Chase Jennings’ Goodwill Value +2, currently 92 points. It is recommended to accelerate the strategy. The higher the Goodwill Value, the more Fortune Value the host can extract.]”
Hearing the system’s encouragement, Azura again felt somewhat impatient.
“I know.”
She certainly knew that the higher the Goodwill Value, the more Fortune could be extracted.
She also knew how to rapidly increase Chase’s Goodwill Value.
After all, Chase liked her, and as long as she was willing to give him some “response,” she could guarantee that Chase’s Goodwill Value would soar to 99 points.
But she didn’t want to do that.
Exchanging physical affection for Goodwill Value was something only lowly women would do.
Azura Loomis had standards for herself.
Even without being intimate, she could still hold the other person firmly; why go through needless motions?
Although Chase was considered outstanding in the circles of the second generation, he was still no match for Donovan Jennings.
Not to mention, Samuel Chalmers was still in the picture.
Thinking about Samuel Chalmers’ appearance and status in the circles, Azura couldn’t help but feel a burn of excitement.
Only a man like that was worth her genuine feelings.
Especially since Samuel was a perfectionist.
Such people undoubtedly have high standards for their partners.
Even for him, Azura wouldn’t casually become intimate with others.
It would only lower her level.
While she was pondering, the system chimed in coolly,
“[Host, allow me to remind you, you’ve been targeting Samuel Chalmers for three years, and his Goodwill Value still remains at 38 points.]”
Thirty of which were the initial points given by the system.
Meaning the real score is only eight points, which are as easily gained as helping an old lady cross the street.
Azura: …
If you didn’t speak, no one would think you were offline.
Elsewhere, in a riverside villa.
In a dimly lit room, a pale boy stared intently at a recently received address from a private detective on his phone.
His gloomy eyes shone with a trace of stubbornness while muttering hoarsely,
“Delilah, I found you again…”
