The Fake Heiress Turns Out to Be a True Tycoon!-Chapter 352: Tea Enthusiast, People Always with Tea
Chapter 352: Chapter 352: Tea Enthusiast, People Always with Tea
Azura Loomis has no idea that her room is about to be turned into a pet playroom.
Returning to the long-missed home with her father and mother, she is left with nothing but discomfort.
Although the Loomis Family also lives in a villa, it is far inferior to the Jennings Family in terms of size and decoration. Azura feels claustrophobic at first glance.
Going upstairs with her mother and seeing the room the Loomis Family had prepared for her, Azura’s face nearly turned black with dismay.
The room her mother prepared for her was obviously put together in a hurry; it was simple in style and the furnishings were garish, lacking in taste.
And this room was not even half the size of her room at the Jennings Family’s house!
How could anyone live in such a small room?
Despite her dissatisfaction, Azura still accepted it with a considerate demeanor.
However, just as she was about to ask the maid to organize her clothes and belongings, she saw a figure dashing over.
It was Alice Loomis, the daughter born after she left for the Jennings Family. Alice had been doted on and raised like a little princess by her father and mother since childhood.
Now, upon seeing Azura’s room, the little princess threw a fit,
"Dad! Mom! Didn’t you promise this bedroom would be turned into my dance room? How can you go back on your word?!"
Hearing this, Azura’s expression stiffened abruptly.
Her father and mother hurried over to cajole their younger daughter,
"Alice, dear, be good. Your sister is coming back to live with us now, so give her this room. Mom has picked out a first-floor room to be your new dance room."
"I don’t want it! The first-floor room doesn’t get as much light, and the view isn’t as nice! I want this one!"
"You child, do you expect your sister to live on the first floor now that she’s back?"
The mother scolded softly without actually intending to discipline her younger daughter. Alice pouted and suddenly, her eyes craftily shifted toward the bracelet on Azura’s wrist,
"I’ll let her have it, but then she has to give me that bracelet."
That bracelet was a newly released limited edition from Brand A, priced at 880,000. Although Alice was indulged, luxury items like that were not something just to be bought on a whim.
Hearing her words, Azura almost wanted to sneer.
The bracelet was a school admission gift from Chase Jennings. Apart from its price, it was a global limited edition. Scarlett felt entitled to it just by opening her mouth; how could she be so shameless.
But then Azura saw her mother following Alice’s gaze to her wrist and spoke up with a smile,
"Azura, look at your sister. We’ve spoiled her. It’s just a bracelet. Why not just give it to her?"
Azura thought she had misheard and incredulously looked at her mother. After a long pause, she finally spoke with a strained voice, "Mom, this is a school admission gift from Brother Chase."
Upon hearing it was a gift from the Jiang Family, her father hesitated somewhat. Alice, acting coquettishly, tugged at his arm, prompting him to speak,
"Azura, if your sister likes it, just let her wear it for a couple of days. You’re not giving it to someone else; she’s your own sister. Chase surely wouldn’t mind."
They said it was for just a couple of days, but who knew if it could ever be returned.
Azura felt her heart turn ice-cold.
Having not grown up by their side, seeing them only once or twice a year, she understood that they did not have much affection for her, as she felt nothing for them either.
Despite this, watching her own parents so blatantly favor another daughter still made her feel suffocated.
It was she who had revived the Loomis Family’s fortunes, yet they still openly favored the other daughter.
Seeing that Azura did not reply, Alice once more pouted and played up her grievance,
"Mom, Dad, does sister not like me? Otherwise why wouldn’t she even give me a bracelet? I’ve already given up the dance room for her!"
At this, her parents’ gaze towards Azura changed, with her mother’s eyes even bearing a hint of blame, feeling she was being unreasonable.
Azura felt a pang of pain in her chest, an odd sense of being manipulated with her own tactics.
If Ariel Zimmerman were here, she would surely share a word of advice from the perspective of a senior—
"The one who offers tea is always offered tea by others."
Azura Loomis wanted to erupt in anger, her hand at her side clenching and unclenching repeatedly. After a long while, she finally suppressed the irritation in her heart and pulled a generous smile towards Alice Loomis,
"How could sister not like you? I just feel that since this is something I’ve worn before, it’s not appropriate to give it to you. But since you like it, then I’ll just give it to you."
With that, she generously removed the bracelet and handed it over to Alice.
Alice Loomis did feel somewhat disdainful hearing it was something that had been worn before, but she really wanted the bracelet, and, seeing that it was offered, she accepted it triumphantly.
Mr. and Mrs. Loomis, upon seeing this, resumed their benevolent parent facade, praising Azura for her sensibility and the Jennings Family for their child-rearing. ƒreewebηoveℓ.com
Azura Loomis kept a warm and poised smile on her face throughout.
Not until everyone had left and the door closed did the smile on her face instantly turn into a chilling coldness.
She looked up, surveyed her room expressionlessly, and sat on the bed. She couldn’t afford to fall out with the Loomis Family before returning to the Jennings Household.
She just had to endure it.
Just wait a little longer, and the old Mrs. Jennings would surely take her back into the Jennings Family.
As for the bracelet, well, she had given it away.
But her belongings were not so easily taken.
...
Jennings Family.
Uncle Ming moved quickly. While the old Mrs. Jennings was still in her room, silently distressed after sending off guests, he swiftly had someone clear the room.
Scarlett Jennings, hearing that Donovan Jennings was preparing a playroom for the pretty girl, glanced at the tablet in his hand displaying images of a pet playroom and, having a thought, said,
"No rush on deciding the style; I’ll have the pretty girl come and choose for herself."
Donovan hadn’t quite grasped what she meant by letting her choose when Scarlett turned and left.
She called out a couple of times in the hallway.
Her voice wasn’t loud, but as long as the little fox heard it, she would run over immediately.
However, after calling several times, there was no sign of the little fox.
Scarlett was wondering if the little one had been taken into a room by Ismeria Jennings to be dressed up when the little paperman Golden Light, which had always followed her, suddenly popped up.
The little paperman had been with her these days, but Scarlett had deliberately kept it out of frame during her live streams.
Now the little paperman stood on her shoulder, one hand gripping her collar, while the other pointed outside.
Scarlett was confused but still followed the direction the little paperman pointed.
Out the door.
And all the way to the Chalmers Residence.
Just entering the Chalmers Garden, Scarlett spotted a familiar figure standing at the second-floor window from afar, clearly visible through glowing with Golden Light.
Although the distance made it hard to see clearly, she instinctively felt that Samuel Chalmers was watching her.
Scarlett waved at him.
Samuel Chalmers, seeing the young girl smiling up at him from below and waving, felt a slight jolt.
Just as he was about to wave back, he saw his personal Golden Light little paperman slip out of the window in a flash.
The little paperman’s short legs moved swiftly, flipping down from the windowsill and floating gently to land in front of Scarlett.
Scarlett’s Golden Light little paperman immediately hopped down from her shoulder.
The two little papermen, as if reuniting after a long time, immediately joined hands in a cheerful twirl upon meeting.
After finishing their dance, they both turned their heads, jumped onto Scarlett’s shoe, each grabbing a shoelace, and then with their little hands pointed toward the villa’s second floor—
Go!
