The Fake Heiress Turns Out to Be a True Tycoon!-Chapter 24 - The Noble Shrew
Chapter 24: Chapter 24: The Noble Shrew
Chapter 24 -24: The Noble Shrew
Scarlett Garrison saw the expression on Gideon Silva’s face and reminded him, “Miss Silva has been missing for about ten minutes. We can basically conclude that the perpetrator acted within the villa area. That person should also live here.”
Now, the search area had shrunk to its smallest.
Gideon Silva found himself in a predicament.
The villa area had been their home for five or six years. Being a high-end complex, there weren’t many residents, and he had seen most of them. The Silva Family hadn’t offended anyone, it seemed.
As he thought of this, he saw a team of patrol cars stop in front of the Silva Family villa, and a person stepped out of the leading car, walking straight toward them.
“Before Little Lili had her accident, I already checked those in the community who could be suspects. It shouldn’t be anyone who holds a grudge against the Silva Family.”
The man’s voice was gentle yet carried a chilly undertone. Under the light, it was clear that he shared the handsome features of Gideon Silva, tall and upright, staring quietly at Scarlett Garrison.
This was evidently the other son of the Silva Family, Andrea Silva’s brother, Bryson Silva.
Andrea Silva, at first, was not called Andrea Silva. As a child, she was so clingy to Bryson Silva that she wanted the same things he had, even the same name. The family had no choice but to change her name to something similar.
After Little Lili’s incident, Bryson Silva had been busy outside. He knew his parents had invited Miss Jennings over, though he didn’t have high hopes. Nevertheless, he stayed in touch with the family and learned all the details.
Seeing Scarlett Garrison caught him slightly off guard at first.
He knew she was Donovan Jennings’s sister but didn’t expect her to look so young.
Following closely behind Scarlett Garrison, Donovan Jennings also saw Bryson Silva. Though the two families were acquainted, he wasn’t very familiar with Bryson Silva, and they merely exchanged nods in greeting.
Little Lili was clearly delighted to see her brother return, wanting to jump into his arms but worried about ruining the magic on her hands. She looked at her brother eagerly, taking small, cautious steps toward him.
Seeing Little Lili unharmed, Bryson Silva visibly relaxed a bit, but he knew the matter wasn’t over, so he invited everyone into the car.
A line of seven patrol cars nearly borrowed all the patrol cars from the property management.
The convoy drove mightily through the villa area.
Soon, guided by the red string, they finally stopped in front of a four-story villa. The moment they saw the place, Mrs. Silva was utterly incredulous.
“How could it be here?”
Scarlett Garrison saw Mrs. Silva indeed recognized the place and just turned her head to look at her.
Mrs. Silva gritted her teeth and said, “This is the Patterson Family. Originally, we had no interaction, but their child is one of the few willing to play with Little Lili nearby…”
Little Lili had the appearance of an adult, and the other children rejected her, considering her foolish, unwilling to play with her. But the little boy from the Patterson Family never minded, often coming over to invite Little Lili out to play.
Because of this, the two families became somewhat close, and the Silva Family, in gratitude, even introduced business opportunities to the Patterson Family.
Mrs. Silva couldn’t believe that it was this family that wanted Little Lili’s life!
How could it not break her heart?
“Has any elder or someone in the Patterson Family been sick recently?” Scarlett Garrison suddenly asked, adding, “One of those about to die.”
“The old lady of the Patterson Family has always been healthy.” Mrs. Silva murmured, then suddenly said, “But the child who plays with Little Lili was said to have some illness and was sent to the hospital recently.”
Scarlett Garrison understood upon hearing this.
The Patterson Family was borrowing life, clearly for the child.
The Silva Family evidently understood as well what was happening, and without hesitation, they stepped forward to knock on the Patterson Family’s door.
It was already late, and the group from the Silva Family still marched over in a grand manner. Mrs. Patterson couldn’t help but ask,
“Luna, what is going on? Why have you brought so many people over?”
Mrs. Silva, now convinced the Patterson Family harmed Little Lili, had no mood to exchange pleasantries, scoffing, “You don’t know why? You had someone harm our Little Lili to steal her life for your child. Did you think no one would find out?”
Mrs. Patterson caught a flash of panic in her eyes at these words, but quickly concealed it, feigning bewilderment and indignation.
“What are you talking about? I don’t understand what you’re saying. What life exchange? How could I harm your Little Lili? How can you believe such baseless accusations and bring people to my door?! It’s outrageous!”
Mrs. Silva could see through her change in expression and couldn’t be bothered to argue.
The most important thing now was to destroy whatever “Life Exchange Contract” Little Lili had signed.
“Little Lili, let’s go inside and find it!”
Little Lili was not unfamiliar with the Patterson house. Hearing her mother say to go inside, she eagerly raised her hands to enter.
At this point, Mrs. Patterson saw the strange upright red string in Little Lili’s hands and realized something. Her face changed as she shrieked,

“What are you doing?! Are you trying to break into private property?!”
“Today we definitely are breaking in!” Mrs. Silva exclaimed. With a wave of her hand, the well-prepared Silva Family bodyguards immediately stepped forward, efficiently blocking the rest of the household.
Seeing this, Mrs. Silva, Little Lili, and a few others quickly followed the red string inside, finding a room on the second floor as indicated.
Pulling open a drawer, they indeed found a “Life Exchange Contract” written on red paper hidden inside.
At once, they grabbed it and left.
Mrs. Patterson was anxiously making calls downstairs. Seeing them come down with something in their hands, her face changed drastically. She had never thought they would indeed find it. She shrieked and lunged to snatch it back,
“Give that back to me!”
Bryson Silva wouldn’t let her approach. He swiftly blocked her path, pulled her back, and pushed her to the ground.
Mrs. Silva, fearing it might be snatched back, decisively turned to the kitchen, lit the gas stove, and began burning the Life Exchange Contract.
Seeing her actions, Mrs. Patterson’s eyes nearly popped. Forgetting appearances, she cried and lunged forward to stop her.
But it was already burning. Mrs. Silva threw the half-burned Life Exchange Contract into the sink and turned around. As Mrs. Patterson rushed over, she slapped her hard in the face.
With a crisp “smack,” Mrs. Patterson hadn’t even processed the hit when she received it. Mrs. Silva, however, did not stop there and grabbed her hair with one hand, delivering two more slaps.
At this moment, there was no trace of a graceful and dignified lady of high society on Mrs. Silva’s face. The Patterson Family plotted against her daughter, and she wished she could swallow them alive.
“For plotting against my daughter! For using evil techniques to harm her! What did my Little Lili ever do to deserve this from you! She’s just a child!”
All the grievances endured over the years because of Little Lili’s condition, along with the fear for the whole day, seemed to explode at this moment. Mrs. Silva cried while pulling at Mrs. Patterson, indifferent to her upbringing and societal image, a true image of a shrew.
For a mother, her child is her greatest vulnerability.
If you dare to harm my child, I will show you what it means to be a true lady of the house!
